Fabulous find, great food had the seafood pasta and was so pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was
The waiter was great knew all
About his menu and served us extremely well
Can’t wait to return for another dinner
Consistently well prepared food at reasonable price.
Came into the city to see Lion King, the food was disappointing we did the prefix menu (duck croquettes, pork shank, butternut squash/ ginger soup and salmon). The skin on the salmon was pure charcoal which ruined the first bite of my fish. I do not like to complain so I cut off the skin and put it aside. The rest of the fish was flavored well. As a whole I was not impressed by the restaurant. The waiter did ask us if we were seeing a show to make sure our food came out promptly but he would disappear when we needed drink refills. I liked the soup but it was luke warm.
Pre-theater lunch. We loved it. Companions had lamb bolognaise and I had shrimp ceviche, which was one of the best I've had, and tuna nicoise. The tuna was rare and warm and the salad nicely dressed. The meal fit right into my Weight Watchers program. Our wait staff was attentive and courteous. It wasn't crowded so hard to tell if it would be noisy.
I had the best birthday at Glass House Tavern! The staff was so kind when I had a few more friends show up than I had anticipated. Great service!!!
Good spot for pre-theater dinner. This was the third time we've eaten there; however, this is the only time we considered the food to be merely 'mediocre'. To their credit, they did take the price of our two desserts off the bill once we stated our displeasure to our server. Another gentleman came over immediately to offer another dessert or taking it off the bill.
One of us had an appetizer of seared sesame tuna, which he said was delicious! However, he thought the price of $18 for four small pieces was a little high. (But hey, its NYC). I had an appetizer of crabcakes which was 'okay' but a little dry. I asked for and received extra sauce on the side for it.
Service was very good - personable, efficient and accommodating.
We will return again and hopefully we will be as satisfied as we've been previously..
Food and service were excellent!!
It's a nice space, convenient to lots of theaters. Not crowded and noisy. Decent food at fair prices and attentive service.
It is always a great meal at glasshouse tavern: the food & drinks are great:a very nice setting
Back wall fireplace.
There is bar seating or table seating by the bar-
Seating by the fireplace or sit upstairs with a beautiful window view of the nyc street.

Thank you I never mind taking time
Do a review especially for a business & staff like this-
I've been to The Glass House Tavern a few times for pre theater dinners and once for brunch. The food is wonderful and the portions are just the right size. I would definitely come back and would recommend it to others.
Absolutely delicious!!!! We loved the restaurant and they were extremely accommodating. We would definitely dine there again!! Highly recommend!
Enjoyed a pre-theater brunch at The Glass House.
The menu was very varied offering everything from eggs to salads to sandwiches and more. The portions were generous, food was cooked as requested. Any mistakes made by the wait staff were quickly corrected. Kudos for the delicious French fries which are sprinkled with rosemary, a nice surprise and a yummy touch.
As this restaurant consists of many floors accessible by stairs only. we were very appreciative that the Restaurant staff was very responsive to our needs for a table that could accommodate a person with a disability. There are several tables in bar area which is almost street level and does have a wheelchair lift.
My family went before a show and they were able to accomdate 11 of us in the back of the restaurant. We got there at 11:30 and we were out by 1:15! Great food and service!
Last minute table booking on Friday night, tried the NYC restaurant week, love the crab cake and the dessert (panna cotta), service is good and quiet environment
I showed up at the last minute trying to eat prior to curtain time - the busiest time of day for a restaurant in the theater district. They were so accommodating and friendly. They managed to get me well fed and feel well taken care of in plenty of time to make it to the show. My hat is off to them and i will be back.
We enjoyed selections from the special Restaurant Week menu. Delicious!
My wife and I dined at Glass House after seeing Waitress at a matinee. The restaurant is conveniently located two doors from thr theater. The service was excellent. We dined from the thater week menu. There were sveral choices for a three course meal. The meals that my wife and I chose were well prepared and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant especially for pre or post theater.
The food service and atmosphere were a welcome change from the traditional experience.
Excellent location for pre-theater dining, and that reservations are available.
Restaurant week and the meal was excellent value.
Excellent food and service! We will return ! Restaurant Week menu was great......nice portion size!
A favorite spot near the theatre. Excellent customer service.
Very nice theater district restaurant- well located with good food and service- they are geared to theatre goers!
Professional friendly service / prompt /excellent food / mimosa a bit pricey at 13 dollars
Had a great lunch . Very nice restaurant. Very clean. Service was very good. Would go back there again. Was right in theaters district.
We were there for Sunday brunch, pre-show. It happened to be restaurant week.
I felt like the meal was a all-over-the-place. Some items were terrific, some just ok.
But, the restaurant is lovely and wonderfully located.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere perfect for theatre goers!
Great dinner after theater matinee. Easy to book reservation. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Atmosphere was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.
Enjoyed a delicious brunch with friends before a show. Arrived a bit early, restaurant was not officially open yet, but was graciously greeted and seated. Our waiter came over and apologized that they weren’t open but gave us our menus to peruse. Came by a few minutes later to let us know the specials and take our drink order.
Everything we had we had was very well cooked, including the desserts and coffee. My eggs were perfectly poached on my Benedict and the steak for the steak and eggs was cooked exactly as asked by my friends. My husbands burger was also cooked as asked and he loved the rosemary fries.
Great little place right in the heart of the theater district.
Was in New York with my daughter for a weekend trip. First time in New York and decided to try Glasshouse Tavern for our dinner. We were both happy with our meals and loved the atmosphere; staff was very friendly; and other guests were extremely friendly as well! Table next to us were NY locals. 😊
Great food, great service, enough said
