This was a Mother’s Day reservation. We got there and were informed an hour wait because the kitchen was backed up. We met another family that had been waiting for an hour, and were told it would be another 40 minutes. What a disaster. They were non chalant about it, yet they had my phone number, and could have called, so on that busy day, with hard to get reservations we could have made other plans. Extremely un profesional. One of the hostess said “ well that’s life”. Not going back ever.

I took my family for Mother's day and we had a 4:30 Reservation. When we arrived, they told us their kitchen was backed up so they wouldn't be able to seat us for 20-25 minutes which was no bid deal as there is a park in the back and my 18 Month year old son can play. When I went back to the host 20 minutes later, then then told me it would be at least another 40 minutes. We had a group of 8 people which included a Toddler and my wife's Grandma who is in a wheel chair. After 50 minutes, I went back to the host stand and they said they had no idea when they would serve us. When I spoke to the manager, they said they could seat us but couldn't serve us so I told them to Seat us which they still couldn't do as they were drastically under staffed. They Host had no clue how to handle it, half the tables in the restaurant were empty and they couldn't figure how to seat the 15 plus reservations which were all an hour to 90 minutes past their reservation. Keep in mind, this was mothers day, they knew it would be busy and everyone had reservations. They were able to sit us at 5:45, an hour and 15 minutes past our reservation and the server took 10 minutes to get to our table. After we were able to order food and drinks, everything was good, food came out timely and didn't have any issues but the management of this restaurant is deplorable. On top of that, the manager told me the drinks would be taken care of which in the end they weren't and instead they sent us over 2 free deserts. At this point, I had enough since we had been there nearly 3 hours. I would strongly not recommend ever going to Glass and Vine on any holiday or busy time as they are not equip to handle a full reservation sheet.

We went this afternoon for Mother’s Day, it was our first time there and I have to tell you, I loved it!!! From the moment we checked in and they gave a flower to all the moms in the dining party until the moment we left. The food was phenomenal, the ambience was perfect, and the music made me feel like if we were somewhere in the Carribean. It was exactly what I was looking for on Mother’s Day. My only regret was not bringing our puppy with us but we will bring her next time because we definitely will be back.

Food was ok. Server not the best really. He didn’t seem to know his stuff and for some reason the payment was messed up and they tangled the whole payment process. I don’t know. I’ve been here before but this time I didn’t enjoy it at all.

The staff were very nice! And the manager was great. The happy hour on Thursday was really good too for the value. The food was also delicious. However, there was something going on and the kitchen was super backed up so we waited over an hour for our entrees. The restaurant was really good about it and from those who recommended the place they said it’s never happened before. Would def give them another try next time we are in town.

If you ever find yourself at Glass and Vine, do yourself a favor and ask for Santiago. This guy doesn’t just serve food; he serves up a side of culinary wisdom with a dash of charm. I half-expected him to pull out a chef’s hat and start giving a TED talk as he answered my question about the menu! Santiago’s knowledge is so extensive, I’m convinced he’s secretly been living in the kitchen since the restaurant opened. Grove rent prices are that high. He can tell you the origin of every ingredient, from the fry oil to the tabke table salt, and he does it with such miami flair that you might think he’s auditioning for a food documentary. Santiago is the kind of waiter who makes you feel like Hialeah royalty, even if you’re just there for the Tuesday taco special that doesn't exist on friday night. If you leave Glass and Vine without asking him as a server, you might as well have dined in a cardboard box at Prime 112. Bravo, Santiago! You’re the reason I’ll be back—well, that and the tuna tartare.

The chicken gnocchi was extremely delicious. Great outside space with live music and a DJ. The only problem was the mosquitos I got bit all night.

Pictures on the website didn't match the overall appearance of the restaurant. Bathrooms are shared with the community center. Food was fair at best. Crudo was cut poorly and was not the freshest. Chicken on the salad was thin and dry. Mahi dish was not flavorful.
