Every time I’m in SoCal, I feel I have to visit Gladstone’s for lunch. There’s just nothing like dining right on the beach and this place has never disappointed. Creamy and delicious clam chowder, a hearty lobster roll - which they prepared without celery at my request - and a to-die-for cheesecake all made for a perfect meal. Don’t let the haters deter you. This is a terrific place.

What happened to this place? Closes at 9 on Saturday??? No one there...reservations at 8:30 felt rushed to get out at 9:30...Poe menu selection stringy chewy lobster. Went years ago it was awesome.

So very disappointed. Called and told staff we were celebrating my daughter’s engagement. Table set up for us was terrible. Waiter gave poor service and was more interested in table filled with women. Didn’t even give us specials or soup or catch of the day. Velvet acknowledged the occasion we were celebrating.

Great place to unwind after s day at the Getty Villa. Good service and yummy food! Atmosphere cannot be better anywhere else!

We brought our friends from Italy to Malibu and thought they would enjoy Gladstones. It was a hit! They not only enjoyed being able to sit outside and enjoy the view, but they loved all of the dishes they tried. Excellent crab cakes, New England clam chowder, grilled salmon, fish tacos, and California salads. Marcus was one of the most attentive, friendly, personable waiters we’ve ever had the pleasure to be served by! He is a gem and obviously loves his job. Thank you. Our Italian friends felt very welcome and enjoyed their meals immensely.

Average for the price. Although we had a reservation they seemed surprised by our presence and it was far from a smooth check in even though the place was far from full. Menu was briefer than i saw online. Not many vegetarian options. Food was fine but pricey. Won’t be back for a long time.
