Every aspect of dining at this place was delightful!
The food was exceptional as always. Our server was exceptional. Polite, helpful, funny, and kept us informed on our meal. For any special event my husband and I always choose the Brewhouse. We love the relaxed atmosphere and the ability to dress as we please. Thank you again for making our evening a wonderful experience.
Our 30th wedding anniversary. We enjoy going to Glacier Brewhouse every year! Especially enjoy the fireplace 😊
I’ve been going to Glacier Brewhouse 2-3 times a year since I’ve lived in Alaska. If I have a visitor that is one of the two places I always take them to eat. The restaurant is not cheap but I’ve always thought it was a good value. This may seem petty but they no longer give you bread when you sit down and I don’t think I’ll be going back. Yes the food is great but I hate being nickled and dimed when I go out. I always drink beer, get an appetizer and the bread pudding so I am not cheap... It’s the principle.
Wonderful dining experience! We tried the Alaskan chowder, the Alaskan nachos and of course the king crab legs. All dishes were great and the service was friendly.
Everything was almost perfect! I can’t wait to come back.
Restaurant was slammed due to cruise ship passengers in town. We made a reservation and seated immediately. Walk-in customers were quoted over an hour wait. Attentive serving staff and food was excellent. Fish and chips, ribs and steak were a complete hit. Plan on coming back the next time we are in town!
The food was great, the service even better. We look forward to eating there often.
Excellent seafood and great beer. Their seafood chowder was some of the best I’ve ever tasted! The seafood crostini as a starter is a must have.
Gathering with friends long not seen, we had but a few hours to catch up, before they flew away...while chatting away, glancing at the beverage list, we were ready to place our order for some of the finely crafted beers and properly mixed drinks. Our conversations were spirited yet discreet, and supported with appetizers from the sea. We all had gone some time without food, and placed a varied order from the superb menu, certainly one of us took advantage of the catch of the day special. Hours passed and suddenly it was time for our friends to depart...such was one of many encounters we've had at the Glacier BrewHouse!
The Chili Lime salad was amazing. I could've had that alone as my dinner.
Although it wasn’t necessary, I made reservations for an early dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday. We pretty much always find ourselves celebrating at Glacier Brewhouse! Giovanni was our server and honestly probably one of, if not the best servers we have had the pleasure of dining with over the years. He made suggestions, took great care of us and offered wonderful conversation to boot. He sent us home with a lovely packed dessert and let us know what shift he works to see him again. Another spot on meal and experience for us... Imperial Blonde, Raspberry Wheat, Calamari, Jamaican Jerk Ribs, Flat Iron Steaks and Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake! Perfection!
Applebee’s quality... ridiculous prices. Would not go again.
I have had much better visits here in the past. I am going to believe the kitchen just had a bad night. I ordered the special (King salmon) and it was not cooked properly, to the point that it was purple inside. The worst piece of salmon I have ever been served. That said, the calamari was as good as I remembered.
Excelente restaurante en Anchorage! Todo muy bueno!!
Great food, service and atmosphere. The best dinner we had during a recent visit to Anchorage. Also, a special shout out about the above and beyond service. I got my credit card stuck in a parking meter and the manager, hostess, and our server were incredibly kind, concerned and helpful so I could fish the card back out. I'll definitely be back.
We had a wonderful time. Food was excellent and my granddaughter really enjoyed the evening.
We love dining here.
Ordered most expensive thing on menu- crab legs. The blessing and curse of this place is you can see the kitchen. I could see my crab legs just sitting, waiting a full 20minutes, on the warming shelf while the appetizer came up (waitress forgot it). I said to her “I hope those aren’t my crab legs” and she assured me no.
Needless to say they were mine. And they were cold- as was the butter, rice and asparagus.
She offered a free dessert but the two are hardly comparable.
Disappointed as I had been before and it was great.
The food, Imperial Blond, service and ambience are not to miss if you visit Anchorage! Make sure you make reservations well in advance.
Always good. Tonight was exceptional. Rockfish was simply amazing. Great service.
Although the noise level in the restaurant was louder than anticipated (very busy for a Thursday night, which required a reservation), it didn't detract from the overall quality of our visit. We had heard from family and friends about the wonderful food, and we were not disappointed. We both ordered their Salmon, and I can honestly say that this was the best salmon I have ever eaten, both in flavor and in freshness. Portion sizes were perfect for our appetite and the potatoes and asparagus complemented the main dish nicely. We would love to have added dessert to end our meal, but we were both pleasantly full after cleaning our plates. Glacier BrewHouse also brews their own root beer and cream soda and I tried them both. Delicious and smooth. Overall, a most enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Anchorage AK. My only disappointment is that there is not a Glacier BrewHouse in Indianapolis IN.
I'd recommend this place for a lunch or dinner. It was pretty busy but our service was still timely. Beers were good and food was a mixed rating depending on what you got. Fish + chips + chowder were all good for our group. I got the Ahi tuna salad which was so-so.
The Brewhouse had been recommended to my houseguests. They loved it, as did I. Our server, Wendy, was amazing. Two other friends joined us, and she was gracious and attentive to them as well. All in all, we had a great dinner and evening.
Hard to talk with friends
Herb Crusted Halibut isn't what it used to be, but it is still pretty good. Very fresh and cooked perfectly, the crust this visit was just kind of bland.
I try and always take my out-of-town friends to the Glacier BrewHouse because it is such a great place to dine and have a cocktail. The food is always excellent, however, the service had a lot to be desired. We waited at least 10 minutes before the water even came and another 10 just for a glass of wine. Finally, when the waiter came over to finally get our food order we had been waiting almost 30 minutes. When he delivered the food, he more or less dropped it in front of us and immediately left without even asking if we needed anything else or if we'd like another cocktail...just dropped it and left...was SOOOO RUDE of him! I had to stop another waitress to see if I could get some pepper for my salad. Other than this waiter, everything else was very good. I will come back, but hopefully the service can be upgraded; it's taking away from your reputation!
Amazing!! Best place in Anchorage we have been. Food was delicious.
Halibut was a bit bland and disappointing, but the seafood fettuccine was very tasty and comes in large portion. I loved the ambience and the raspberry wheat beer. Overall, would recommend this place to travelers!
Great food! Awesome service. A bit loud. Would definitely go back.
Food was amazing, we had an awesome server. Definitely coming back again!
We loved it would recommend to a friend!
It was very crowded and noisy, but the service and food was amazing, as always!
Ate a late lunch/early dinner before heading to the airport. Menu selections were limited. Both my husband and I had a hard time deciding what to order. Maybe it was the choices, maybe it was us. I got the Salmon BLT Salad. It was good - not great. For a “brewery”, it was pricey.
We had stopped at 49th State Brewery earlier in the day and had an appetizer. They’re menu was much more appealing and had a much wider selection. And, the food was great!
Wish we had gone back to 49th State!
Server was attentive and checked on us regularly. Our food was cooked to perfection and we didn’t have to wait long for our order. The noise level was loud but it’s to be expected for the time of day we went. We always enjoy our experience with the Brewhouse.
Our waitress was pleasant and professional, and the food was flavorful with a presentation that was spot on. Definitely make reservations!
Last night of Alaska land sea vacation. Could not have chosen a better restaurant. Food was exceptional!
The BBQ ribs were delicious. I’ll be back...soon!
service was poor. Need the training for waiter/waitress!
Good food, however service could be improved.
