Glacier BrewHouse Ratings and Reviews
We have our annual horse-drawn carriage with typically the same six couples. This is our 15th holiday celebration. We have labeled it the "Clippity Clop". After the ride, we are dropped off by the horse drawn carriage right in front of the Glacier Brewhouse.
We have always had dinner at the Glacier Brew House because of the outstanding service, food and atmosphere.
Wife and I ate dinner before the Nutcracker show on 11/25/2017. Had reservation and requested table near fireplace for ambiance. Every I request the fireplace I get a lousy response from the gal at the reservation desk and I've only made it to the fireplace table once in all my time going. Instead they put us on a table next to the reservation desk which was about the worst table. Super frustrated with the management. Waiter was great.
I have a resident that is both mentaly ill and physically disabled. your establishment made her feel very comfortable and she feels that your prices are very reasonable. she enjoys going to watch shows at th PAC and she loves your establishment for a quick bite before the show. My resident also has little to none coping skills and she feels safe and secure at your establishment.
Not a good experience. My profile states to please seat us in a quiet area. The hostess showed us a table RIGHT BY THE BAR even thou there were many empty tables for four. Next my chicken dinner was served burned after we were told they ran out of bread. I would not take a burned dinner. It took them 15 minutes to bring out s very nice chicken dinner. My 3 dinner companions were looking at their cold food. Bread was served to other tables. I went to the hostess stand and mentioned that and WOW we were immediately served bread. The waitress who served me overdone burned chicken seemed shocked I would not eat the dinner. Totally BAD experience. My companions meals were all served perfectly. I would not recommend this restaurant, the staff does not care.
Unfortunately this time the experience was not to the level I have experienced in the past. The server was almost non existent and seem rude when we did speak with her. The food was not hot and almost cold and hard. We really do enjoy this place, but we were extremely disappointed with this visit.
We go out to a different restaurant every Friday, and though the atmosphere and service was good, we both thought the food was extremely bland. Especially for the price. We paid 76.00, plus a 20.00 tip for food that could be out done by Applebees. Not meaning that rudely, just stating both out opinions.
We had a party of 6 of which all ordered the rib eye steak and one ordered the grilled ahi. The food was outstanding. Even though the main meal was plenty of food a few orders of the crème brulee were in order. The dessert was very good. Of course the locally brewed beer was excellent.
One of my all time favorite restaurants! The thing I love the most is that lovely wood smell that washes over me as I walk in. Ahhhh! And in the very cold winters, there is nothing like being seated next to that wonderful roaring fire.
This place is the epitome of Alaska. From the rustic design, to the delicious food and excellent beer, I feel like I’m home everytime I visit. Their peanut butter pie is famous and for good reason! And the service is impeccable!!! Love it here!
