We go out to a different restaurant every Friday, and though the atmosphere and service was good, we both thought the food was extremely bland. Especially for the price. We paid 76.00, plus a 20.00 tip for food that could be out done by Applebees. Not meaning that rudely, just stating both out opinions.

Nice daily specials, really good beer. Save room for the peanut butter pie ala mode desert, a real winner. Casual, warm, friendly, can be very crowded and noisy atmosphere, so beware if that’s not what you’re looking for tonight.

We had a party of 6 of which all ordered the rib eye steak and one ordered the grilled ahi. The food was outstanding. Even though the main meal was plenty of food a few orders of the crème brulee were in order. The dessert was very good. Of course the locally brewed beer was excellent.

Good service, nice server. This location is close to my office which means that lunch can be ordered and consumed generally within an hour - which is helpful for scheduling.

Another good meal before the symphony. My wife had salmon that she said was very good. I had seared tuna which also was good.

One of my all time favorite restaurants! The thing I love the most is that lovely wood smell that washes over me as I walk in. Ahhhh! And in the very cold winters, there is nothing like being seated next to that wonderful roaring fire.
This place is the epitome of Alaska. From the rustic design, to the delicious food and excellent beer, I feel like I’m home everytime I visit. Their peanut butter pie is famous and for good reason! And the service is impeccable!!! Love it here!

Excellent meal, as always, at the Glacier Brewhouse. Our waiter was outstanding. Very personable and took terrific care of us. Very timely, responsive service. Recommended an outstanding dessert that our group shared and loved.

It started out uncomfortable, we had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated, even though they were seating people who did not have reservations. Then it took awhile before a server showed up. I had baby backed ribs, there weren’t as good as I have had before.

Not as good as it used to be. I did not feel that beer was fresh. They did not have my favorite amber. And ribs were burned. Something changed about this place. It was my favorite for beers and ribs

Food was overpriced with small portions. The seafood fettuccine tasted too fattening. My husband’s fries were soaked in grease and he felt sick after. I wasn’t impressed with the menu options (only one vegan option I saw). As we were leaving the hostess just looked at us, didn’t even say “Have a good night”. Pretty rude in my opinion. We only went because we had a gift card. We don’t plan on returning.

The wait for a table with reservations was relatively short approximately 15 minutes. The service was a bit lacking after the food was served, but the food more than made up for the somewhat understandably slow service. When the food arrived it was presented well it arrived still quite hot, and was outstandingly delicious. The drinks both beer a d cocktails were outstanding bright points in a nearly flawlessly executed meal. I most definitely plan on returning in the nine too distant future.

Calamari was not as good as usual. I think it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Definitely not fresh out of the fryer. Everything else was amazing though!!

Busy as usual and our server did a great job. She was accomdating and responsive to us, especially with our two children and made the 9 year old’s birthday special. Food was delicious. Only complaint was they were out of two of the featured beers, including the one I wanted to try.

It was a wonderful experience for our four generation weekend "girls" adventure. My 4 1/2 year old Great Granddaughter loved every minute of it. The plane ride Friday & Sunday, Friday dinner at Chuck E Cheese's, Saturday the Cinderella followed by dinner at the Glacier Brewhouse. Jeff, our waiter was wonderful and treated our little "Cinderella" like royalty. Thank you for being part of this great adventure.

Ordered the Waygu sandwich. Very little meat, huge pile of onions, stale bread for $17.00? Fortunately the manager comped it, but I will not be going back.

Mark is one of the best servers we have had in a long time. He went out of his way to take care of us, even putting an order on separate plates for my parents who spilt their order of Brisket. My wife and I really enjoy the beer sampler, it gives us a good tatse of all your beers. She really liked the rye stout and I enjoyed the beam stout. As my dad and I are hard of hearing it was a little loud for us to have a good conversation, but it is like that at most restaurants we go to. Over all we had a very good time and enjoyed our meals there.

Really didn't enjoy it.
Service was mediocre.
Of three meals ordered two were OK, one was not very good at all.
Your choices on the noise level didn't have REALLY LOUD.
The deserts were very good, but I didn't see a place to mark that.
Over the years every time I go to GBH I tell myself, never again. But then I remember how it used to be, great food and service and atmosphere, and I give it another chance. After I do, I scold myself and feel guilty for spending so much money on mediocrity. I really won't be going back this time. There are much better places in Anchorage for less money.

Great food and service. I had the salmon and my husband had the halibut and we shared the seafood chowder. The waiter was exceptional - he was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive, but not intrusive. This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is very popular and you need to make reservations well in advance or be prepared for a long wait.

Waited a long time (waitress even came to apologize for how long it was taking) for our dinner. One plate the salmon was lukewarm and the potatoes were awful, cold, dried out, didn’t even look appealing. Best thing on plate was the vegetable.

Waitress offered to have remade but we wanted to eat together and also not wait another hour + to get the dinner back out.
She offered a side of Hot mashed potatoes, which were brought out.

We ordered creme brûlée - took forever to come out. And not good. Was warm n plastic tasting more like weird pudding. Left our mouths coated.

When bill came waitress let us know she comped the dessert.

She was not the fault of a bad dinner. Either the kitchen had a issue or were purposely not getting her dishes out.

So disappointed we live in Fairbanks and look forward to eating here so much.

As we were traveling on "the road less traveled" in Alaska we ran across Glacier BrewHouse. When reading the menu we found that "Guy" had been there, so following this foodie, we ordered those items on the menu. The corn fritters arrived really burnt - they said our bill would be compensated and they did take that cost off, and said they would put in a new order but our timeline did not allow this. It was soooo just average. Just think they should have delivered a burnt item to begin with.

I love the Glacier Brewhouse and I took my boss who is also a good friend here for lunch and it was delicious. However, I would dine here much more if they brought back the brussel sprouts. They used to be on the menu and they were replaced by asparagus which Alaskans can get any day of any week...Still great just don't go there as often due to taking some of my faves off the menu so for the price I tend to move around a bit more in town vs. sticking w/what is close to work.
