Mark our server was amazing! Family up from the lower 48 to visit and celebrate 55th Anniversary. We had a great time, stellar service and the food was wonderful.

Food was very good, but prices are quite high.
Service, on the other hand, was horrible. We (my wife and I) had reservations and arrived 10 minutes early to check in We waited 25 minutes before being told it would be at least another 15 minutes. We ended up sitting at the bar in order to have food and meet our plans for the evening.
Our server (Jordan?) took 10 minutes to take our drink order and another 10 minutes to serve a glass of beer and glass of wine. We ordered our food for eating at the bar. After 30 more minutes and a bar shift change, we asked about our dinner with our new bartender. The order was never put in and we had to again wait. We spent way over $100 between the two of us and received zero (0) compensation of any sort for the issues. Not even an apology when the food was delivered.

We dined here for lunch on Father’s Day and it was delicious! A little expensive, but overall the food and beer were great!

We expected the restaurant to be packed for our noon reservation. Sunday brunch crowd + Fathers Day crowd = slow service.
It was a wondering experience. As in wonder where our server/food is? Our server rarely checked in with us, and when she did, it was the drive-by without waiting for an answer type (“how-we-doin-here-food-will-out-soon”).
Our section was small & she had a few other tables by us. The restaurant is huge. Maybe she had other tables on the other side of the playing field? We rarely saw her bustling around.
Finally(!) an hour after being seated, we received our plates. Me: seafood scramble w cold eggs... ugh. My friend: cold pizza. My boyfriend: sausage/egg concoction piping hot in a small skillet.
My friend is a glass half full type of person “I don’t have to wait for it to cool off so I won’t burn the roof of my mouth”
My boyfriend is a plate half empty type because my having cold eggs means he’s willing to share his while making sure to tell someone about mine.
So to our server’s credit and/or weariness, she responded by deducting my eggs from the bill & offering to bring me a fresh order. I was too hungry to wait again and just ate my cold meal anyway.

My takeaway? Don’t go for brunch on a day that coincides with a holiday unless that holiday is your reason for going.

I was a little disappointing in the brunch. The portions were good sized but there were not to many choices. some of the items on the plate were hot that are not good when they are hot. The kids portions are the same size as adults so next time I will share with my child next time.

We've eaten here many times through the years. We went for brunch before taking our guests to the airport. We all chose the hunters skillet. Very tasty but honestly too much food. The cream soda was heavenly.

On vacation. BrewHouse has a great atmosphere and is a great choice for dinner. King crab legs were amazing! Our train into town was late so we missed our reservation time, but they kindly allowed us to slip our time slot — most accommodating! Highly recommended.

Everything was great, however, my steak wasn’t cooked properly, sent it back and still wasn’t cook properly. One side was so well done it was dry while middle was purple! Waitress said they cook on open fire and sometimes it happens. Paid $27 for a steak I didn’t eat. Offered me free dessert but still didn’t explain why I paid $27 for a meal I didn’t eat.

Came into Anchorage for a day and was here two years ago. Thankfully I made a reservation and we got right in. We were looking forward to the delicious crab cakes that they had two years ago. Those crab cakes were the best that I had ever had. Unfortunately, they don’t have them any more! My husband had a salmon sandwich and I had a flat bread pizza. Both were good; however, we really wanted those crab cakes. They were super busy as it was lunch time, but our waiter was really good. He brought us our beer (those were both awesome!) and some bread while we waited. This is a nice place to eat.

Overall an excellent experience - I wish this restaurant was in our home town so we could go every week. Regrettably it’s doubtful we’ll be back in Anchorage anytime soon. The calamari was one of the best I’ve ever tasted although unfortunately only had one tiny slice of jalapeño - it was an awesome accompaniment and I wish there’d been more. The nachos made with freshly made potato chips was incredible. And I usually drink wine with dinner but because of the food we ordered had a beer instead. I forget the name, Atomic Blonde maybe? Anyway it was a higher alcohol beer served in a snifter and probably the best beer I’ve tasted in my life. Apparently their beers are sold in some stores in Washington State so I’m keeping my eyes open to locate it!

Anniversary with the in laws seeing Anchorage for the first time. My mother in law got the chicken which she raves about but it was supposed to come with risotto and she was sure it was just rice. The waitress tried to explain but it was clear that rice was served.

Loved the ambiance of this place, but was disappointed with the quality of the food, and to a degree, with the service. I ordered a burger, and it was quite burned. Our server was very nice but didn't really check in after our food was given to us. Therefore, there wasn't even an opportunity to tell anyone about my burned burger. I had been quite excited to try this restaurant, as it appeared highly rated; however, I was disappointed.

We stopped here for lunch while we were in Anchorage. Highly recommend the fish tacos. We also had a beer flight and enjoyed all the beer flavors we tried. Loved it! Wish I could remember our servers name, but I remember he had a dog named Zippy. Our server was fantastic and very personable.

I've fell in love with the Glacier Brew House 20 years ago. I moved away from Alaska in 2014, and made sure to visit on my recent trip back. It never disappoints. The menu is always great. I regret that I did not catch our server's name, but he was great as well - as the service always is! If you are coming to Alaska for a once-in-a-lifetime visit, it will not be complete without a dinner at this Alaskan gem!

As a regular visitor to the Brewhouse through out the year, I am never disappointed.
With the tourist season now upon us, service was still swift and delivered with enthusiasm and a smile. The extra staff employed during this period have been well trained.
Perhaps some "special" main dishes are a little pricy, but the ambiance, great menu choice and awesome beers make up for that.
All in all, well worth a visit; enjoy!

We were vacationing and this was a place on the list for great places to eat in Anchorage. I felt like it was talked up and wasn't worth what we paid for it. The food was good, but was more expensive, not as great of an environment, and the food wasn't as good as the place we had the night before, so the whole family was disappointed. The service was good. Reservations only for this place and it was hard to get a good time for a reservation. Disappointed in our experience and we wouldn't go back.

It was ok. We made a reservation so we were seated right away. It was so loud we had to yell to be heard. Our server took forever to come greet us and get our drink order and it was pretty much a huge wait from there. Even trying to get our check was a huge wait. Maybe sometimes being crowded cuts down on all the positive aspects of a restaurant and that was the case here.
