Went to Glacier Brewing as they came up with the best fish n chips in Anchorage, was very dissapointed. Expected batter dipped, was in turn presented with a seasoned and breaded chunk of cod
Our waitress was a doll!
Excellent service and food.
What an experience. We loved it. Great, great food and even better service.
Loved the staff. Very helpful. Food truck phenomenal
On vacation in Anchorage looking for crab legs. Delicious!
For beer, but not for food. Service was great, but wasn’t too impressed with food quality. Dessert was too sweet.
Our family has been a patron of Glacier since the first year it opened. The service and food was good then, and it continues to meet or surpass all expectations. It's a great place to take family and out-of-town guests.
Loved it! The Key Lime Hefeweizen was so damn good I caught my wife taking several drinks. Enjoy!
Always great food and service at Glacier Brewhouse. The noise level is loud, but not overbearing.
order a 9.00 dollar ceasar salad and it looks like its for a toddler mcdonalds has bigger and better salads for like six bucks this was my birthday and i was not empressed waitres could use some touching up skills as well
Excellent food and service! Our server, Morgan, was on top of it the whole time.
Great service & wonderful food!
This restaurant was just across the hotel we were staying in, so location determined its selection. However, once we started eating, we were completely won over the by the quality of food and drinks. Outstanding! Service was great as well.
Incredible fresh halibut prepared perfectly
Exceptional service. All the employees seems happy, which leads to a good experience for all
Great experience with great service and food. The salmon was cooked perfectly and one of the best I have ever had.
Excellent service and order accuracy from a friendly server.
While on vacation, the Glacier BrewHouse was recommended and we were not disappointed! Lively and fun, food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Definitely would recommend making a reservation because the restaurant is not large, and is very popular.
The best staff! Loved how easy they made it. Left my card their on accident and they were so professional about getting it back to me ASAP!
Last night in Anchorage, we had heard good things about this place from several people so we were really looking forward to our getaway dinner.
I ordered the halibut and my wife ordered the fish and chips. We asked if we could upgrade from Cod to Halibut and they said sure .... for a $10 up charge. Figured on the up charge, thought $10 was a little steep but last night so we said ok.
My Halibut was ok, nothing spectacular. My wife’s meal came the fries were cold. We asked for hot fries when the server noticed the fish was Cod, not Halibut. She apologized and said she would get fresh pieces of Halibut and hot fries. When she came back she had Halibut but the fries were like warm at best. When the server came back to check we told her the fries were no better and wasn’t the Halibut to be in an ale batter, hers was Panko crusted. The server again realized that the order was was wrong. She took off to place the order again.
My wife is petite and doesn’t eat much. By this time she was full with just so so food. We tried to catch the server to say don’t order anymore food cause she was full.
The manager came over and offered us a free dessert. We declined because we had no room and we were leaving for the airport.
They did finally comp the meal but the explanation was that sometimes they just don’t hit the nail on the head all the time. As far as we are concerned, they missed the nail completely.
Glacier Brewhouse used to be one of my favorite places. Not so anymore. In particular, I used to love the bread pudding, but this time the pudding was gooey, like it hadn’t been cooked long enough. And the sauce was thinner - also like it hadn’t cooked long enough. I was very disappointed in the food. Service, however, was great!
We had friends visiting from Minnesota and we had a great experience. One of the couples has a son-in-law who owns a fine dining restaurant. They know great food and they thought your food was fantastic. One of the women wanted halibut but wanted it grilled with just butter and it was done to perfection! One of the guys said the calamari was the best he had ever tasted. The desserts were also a big hit. The server was super...very accommodating and friendly. The only thing I could possible complain a little bit about was the noise. It was a little hard talking with a table of 8. We managed though. We will definitely be back!
It was really good! The double dipped chicken sandwich is delicious! We also had the calamari and salmon dip appetizers...both were great. The filet and shrimp was cooked perfectly. The seafood Alfredo was really good too. The only thing not good was the kids Alfredo. Overall we enjoyed it.
We had pretty high hopes for this place based on the reviews we read and the promise of fresh halibut and salmon, but it was a major disappointment. The place is a factory and my piece of salmon was so overcooked and underwhelming that I will never return to that tourist trap again. The IPA was unimpressive, the service distracted and slow. The after dinner whiskey pour from the bar was pretty good and the price on a top shelf bourbon was pretty decent.
Dinner was great. Halibut was the best we had in Anchorage. Shared an order of crab legs. Plenty to eat. Whiskey flight for desert was perfect.
Great service and good food. Busy place
Good food but wish there was still complimentary bread
Based on the reviews I was very excited to have fresh king salmon at this restaurant. Unfortunately the salmon came to the table raw. The server took it back, came out raw again. They took it back, it came out over cooked. Well plus. They took it back and bright an entire new dinner. Unfortunately my new dinner showed up 15 mins after my husband finished his dinner. Served was great. Just so disappointed in dinner. Hard to believe the kitchen would send a raw fish.
Glacier brewhouse never disappoints . EVERYTHING is good, whether it’s an appetizer, main course, or dessert! Staff has always been friendly and attentive. As long as stays the same, I’ll be coming to feast from time to time!
great food and service. Servers where friendly and verbal. Said hi and thank you. We appreciate that.
A little noisy but get it.
Served the wrong steak instead of fillet. Waitress was told by the chef to tell me they cut the meat different I showed her it was not fillet, she then showed the chef who said it was flank or skirt steak.
Was told they would redo it. My husband ate his entire meal and was done before my dinner came back. It was so char burned it was disgusting big chunks of char. Looked and tasted awful.
My waitress was kind and tried to help make the evening better by saying I would not be charged for the dinner. And offered a comped dessert.
We came for the crab, and it was good but way too pricey for the amount we got!
The service is good. We were glad to have a reservation with it being tourist season. It's still moronic that they are charging for bread that used to be free, especially at a restaurant of this caliber. Even Olive Garden provides bread with entrees...and Olive Garden serves reheated, previously frozen food.
The food is satisfying but it was just too expensive. Almost $200 for a party of four, 3 adults and 1 kid, no alcohol beverage, no dessert.
We had a great waiter, food was great service was spot on!
The Glacier BrewHouse has lots of atmosphere and smells so woodsy and yummy. You must have a reservation as there always seems to be a wait as it is so popular.
The servers were wonderful and friendly. The manager, Will, was a delight and does a great job keeping everything and everyone moving! We will go again next time we are in Anchorage.
Celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary, we wanted something and someplace special. The Glacier BrewHouse was just such a place, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Some reviews have commented about the intrusive noise level, but we reserved an early table for two, located by the window (far from the kitchen commotion), and perhaps the combination of those two factors made our experience delightful with only a moderate level of clatter; certainly not enough to disrupt our intimate conversation. We would highly recommend this place - you will not be disappointed!
Excellent service and great atmosphere. We were seated right away and had a friendly server. We were a party of 8 and we all tried something different from the menu, everything was excellent. Great selection of beers and other drinks. Must try you won’t be disappointed.
Traveling through Alaska. Great place in Anchorage
