Gjelina is a restaurant specializing in New American cuisine. Open every day from 8 a.m. until 11pm, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, try 9 grain pancakes with butter and maple syrup or warm banana buckwheat loaf with butter and jam of the day. Brunch options include Moroccan baked eggs and 7 grain porridge. Gjelina offers a variety of oysters, crudo, charcuterie and salad options to start at lunch and dinner. Main courses include pizzas from our wood fired oven and entrees like duck confit, house made pastas and roasted organic half chicken.
*Only ADA certified animals are allowed in Gjelina
*A 20% Mandatory Service Charge is added to your check. Our belief is that every hourly Gjelina employee contributes to your service and 100% of the MSC will be distributed amongst them.

Food is always fantastic. But why do they have a rooftop with no working heaters and blaming it on no propane. Passing out heavy blankets which is lousy . Just buy the propane management! I think you can afford it.

Main issue was that we had a reservation at 7 and was not seated until 7:20. Checked in at 6:55, told “a few minutes”. When I said we were leaving they suddenly “found” a table. Really frustrating and a total lack of communication. That said our server was great in making sure we got all our food quickly. She was excellent. Food was also excellent.

Gjelina has officially found a new low. We go out for breakfast from time to time, and this time it was so hilariously bad that we’ve decided never to return. We ordered the Moroccan eggs, and one of the dishes came with a hair in the food. No biggie - we asked the waiter for a new one. Her response? “Do you want us to remake it?” What kind of question is that?? While we were waiting, a manager came over, said “Sorry about that,” and asked if we’d like another coffee. After waiting another 5-10 minutes, we said, “Yes, please.” They redid the eggs, and as is tradition, the bread was once again literal charcoal - but that’s a story for another time. Then came the real kicker: when we asked for the check, they charged us for everything - the ruined Moroccan eggs, the extra coffee the manager offered. Any restaurant that gives a shred of care about their reputation would comp the dish with the hair or at least toss in the coffee for free. Not Gjelina. Well, after being regulars, this is where the story ends. Gjelina, it’s been real - but also, really disappointing.

Brunch is a low-key way to enjoy this still-hot spot. Checks are less eye-popping because there’s not as much boozing, fewer courses. If you sit outside it’s much quieter. Servers are such pros here. We didn’t feel rushed and we felt valued and regarded.

Food was exquisite! Service was just alright. Food was out super fast! But it was really hot inside, wish they would’ve used the fans or something.
