Giuseppe's Al Porto has a spectacular view of Squalicum Marina at Bellingham Bay. Our chefs focus on the freshest local ingredients, while utilizing classic Italian technique; our restaurant is an experience that you cannot afford to miss!! We offer Dining Al Tramonto which is our three course dinner for $20.00 daily from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Join us for happy hour and our hand crafted cocktails, Italian wines, rotating draft beer as well as delicious bites including Taylor Shellfish mussels, balsamic-glazed ribs and much more!

Our waitress, Sarah, was outstanding. Unfortunately,she was the best part of the evening. We ordered the Caesar and the lettuce had not been properly dried so the dressing was watery and had no flavor. We ordered the cannelloni and the lasagna. The person who ordered the lasagna thought it was light and enjoyed it. I felt the cannelloni was dry and flavorless. The cannelloni were similar to Italian enchiladas—not tender at all. We really enjoyed the house red wine. Again, our server made it a lovely dinner thanks to her numerous suggestions.

Giuseppe—Time to up the game now that you’re in the fancy digs!
PLEASE get rid of the tacky fake foliage. A simple fresh flower in a bud vase lends so much more to the table. Small touches are noticed if you are trying to create a more intimate experience in a larger corporate space. Pay a garden service and bring in real trees. Good luck with your restaurant.

Exceptional food exceptional service. Terrific Italian and seafood dishes. Made from scratch and incorporate many local ingredients. Ample portions appetizers and deserts were outstanding. Looking forward to visiting Gusieppi's again. They make special occasions special.

The event was a 65th Birthday and everything went well. The restaurant was helpful in holding a table setting for us so we could surprise the birthday girl. The owner came by and was gracious enough to pose with us. The food was excellent as usual. A fine evening was had by all.

The restaurant is huge and not romantic. My wife sent her rockfish back as it was really, really fishy and lukewarm. The manner in which they handled it made us feel like we were wrong. We weren't. The table next to us returned their fish as well.

Beautiful restaurant, nicely decorated, very accommodating. The service was fine but not exceptional. The food was a bit of a disappointment. The chicken was tough and tasted old, the vegetables were tasty but undercooked, but for all those criticisms the price was not unreasonable. I’d be happy to try it again and see if it was perhaps just an off night.

My husband being from Napoli, we wanted food that was fresh, made to order, and expertly cooked to Italian (as in Italy) standards. We ordered the rigatoni “VERY al dente” and within 7 minutes got pasta that disintegrated when picked up by a fork. That means pre-cooked—unforgivable, especially at this price. The accompanying potatoes and vegetables were also pre-cooked and served lukewarm. The tiramisù, however, took more than 10 minutes to arrive and was a spongy cake showing every sign of having been thawed from a freeze—also unforgivable. This is not Italian food worth the money. Giusè, fai capire ai ragazzi in cucina come devono fare per i clienti italiani.

Our server, Michael made our whole experience. Aside from fresh,authentic and all over amazing food and beverages. Michael made our evening with his perfection in timing attention to detail and overall knowledge of the food and drinks he was crafting and serving. Very good as usual. I had chicken piccata and my husband had the duck breast. While my portion was rather small for the price, it was plenty filling. I tasted the duck and I wasn't too fond of the orange marmalade but my husband thought it was great. This is not our first time dining at Giuseppe's and it won't be the last.

I took my husband out for date night, and it has been a long time since we've gone out. The staff was amazing. We had a nice table, our drinks were delicious and dinner was AMAZING!! Our waiter was attentive but not overly, which made for a nice romantic meal. We will be going back for sure. I highly recommend the Clam Linguine and the Bellatini.

Reserved a table for 8 with separate checks through OpenTable and verified ahead of time there would be no problems. Our table was ready when we arrived and we were seated promptly, although had to wait about 10 minutes for menus which seemed odd (although wine list was on the table when we were seated?). Overall service was good, but somewhat disjointed from my perspective, as server wanted to take drink orders before we were even given food menus. I ordered from their Early Dinner menu which included salad, main and desert. Food was served in a timely manner, although my entree was not hot but rather "room temperature". My salmon was a bit under-cooked and too pink for my tastes and the fingerling potatoes was over-cooked and dry. Both the salad and chocolate mousse were excellent. The owner stopped by the table during our meal to inquire about how our meals were, which was nice. I did not voice my criticisms/complaints to him at that time, but did leave a note on the response form we received with our bill. This was our second visit to the restaurant and don't recall any complaints from the first meal, so will certainly give them another chance in hopes this experience was not quite up to their usual performance standards.

I took my daughter here for dinner on her 18th birthday. We had a group of 7, so I called ahead to make reservations. I spoke to the owner and he was very nice. We arrived and were seated right away. The owner asked if we wanted to get started with any appetizers, and he recommended two. I asked what the first one was, and he described it to me. I said, "OK, we'll take an order of those." A little while later, our waiter brought out two orders of those (plus a couple extras, which I found out later we were charged for,) and one order of the other appetizer, which I had not ordered. I did not want to insult the owner, so I didn't say anything. When I reviewed the bill at the end of our meal, I noticed a miscellaneous charge. I asked the waiter about it, and he explained that we were charged for the extra appetizers I did not order. He said the owner told him to bring extras. Again, not wanting to insult the owner, I didn't say anything. The bill for four of us was $230 (tip included,) which is a lot for us. All of our food was excellent, and the service was good, so I would definitely return based on that, but if something like this happened again, I'll say something.

Great experience and extremely considerate staff. We had a special dish that had an allergen in it, and unfortunately had to send the food back to the kitchen. The staff was awesome and quickly (as in less than in 5 minutes) re-made the dish. The staff was also extremely attentive and seated us further from the center of the restaurant so we could enjoy our date.

I typically love this place, unfortunately the food was not its usual on New Year's Eve. Myself and a friend both ordered a special: Halibut topped with a crab cake... it was pretty mediocre. Definitely not worth the price paid. I love halibut, it's typically served with medium to large, firm flakes, but ours was dry and flaked more like overdone chicken :(
The environment and service was charming as usual, but the food was 2 thumbs down.

Went for a New Year's Eve dinner with two other friends. Had a reservation and were initially seated in a small, intimate wine "cellar" with two other parties. As it was located near the front of the restaurant with the front door opening often (on a cold night!) and as it was too somber in atmosphere for New Year's Eve (kind of felt like attending a funereal wake in that room), I asked if we could be moved into the more-lively main dining area. The restaurant was extremely busy, but we were quickly accommodated. Other than the hostess telling a member of the waitstaff to reseat us saying, "I don't care where you put them" well within our earshot, the evening and meal was great.

I made reservations ahead of time asking for a window seat,, as the previous reservation i made i asked the same request only to have us seated in a very small room off to the side with no ambiance and away from the real dining experience,had i known that, we never would have gone there.I explained this in my new reservation and when we were being seated this time they took me to the same small room as i entered, i asked if there was available seating elsewhere.The gentleman asked if i had made a reservation and i told him yes and he asked of my name.When i told him he kindly and promptly took us to the main dining area and gave us a very nice seat and we went on to have a very lovely evening.I can tell you that if he had not done that we never would have returned to this restaurant !!!!I am so thankful that he was so kind and made us very happy customers and we will indeed be going back!

We love the ambiance & the great service at Giuseppe's and find that the food is very well prepared & is authentic tasting Sicilian fare. We took our daughter, her husband & our three grandchildren here for Christmas Eve dinner & it was lovely. It felt as if we were a part of a very large Italian family with Giuseppe himself graciously hosting throughout the evening - very nice indeed!

Giuseppe takes great care to assure that every dish set in-front of his guests is gastronomic perfection. The appetizers were absolutely delicious, polenta with mushrooms, calamari, and gnocchi. More than enough to share among the four of us, not too much to sate our appetites. I had the duck breast, it was cooked beautifully, crispy skin rare in the center and skillfully seasoned. The lamb was fork tender and served with polenta and a savory sauce. We a memorable, The Firestone Vineyard First 1975 Harvest Pinot Noir that was soft, fruity and paired beautifully with our dinners.
Right now Giuseppe's is decorated for the holiday, which gives the elegant restaurant a festive and joyful ambiance. Frankly, I can't wait until my next visit!

Everything was great as usual, however I think it was way overcrowded. The tables were too close together...kind of had the "packed sardines" feel due to the holiday rush. The barstools were directly behind us, actually bumping our chairs. But the food was fantastic as usual. Best polenta appetizer I've ever had!

The food we had was very good. It was the service that was terrible. We happened to get the waiter that was also the bar tender this night. He never smiled, almost seemed like he didn't want to be there. It was the owner that brought us our dinner. He dropped it off and left with barely a word.I had booked on Open table and wrote in the comments that we were coming for my husbands birthday. There was no mention of this from anyone in the restaurant. It was the beginning of December and there were holiday parties in the restaurant as well, but there was still lots of open tables so I did not feel that the lack of service was because they were so busy. It's unfortunate as the food was good and the views are awesome. I think we will stick with the Bellwether right next door as the food is great, service is always good, and the views are the same.

Food as always was unbelievably delicious! It was the day after Thanksgiving. The place was a ghost town. We had made a later reservation because the last time we tried to go without a reservation we could not get in. However, this night we were the last party to finish, though it was still early, we felt like they really wanted to get us out of there so they could close. It made us feel rushed. It was an expensive dinner, which we were prepared for because the food is that good ...it is worth every savory delicious bite, but the rush feeling by the wait staff was a disappointing aspect of our experience.
