Giumarello's Restaurant and G Bar Ratings and Reviews
Giumarello's is a beautiful restaurant with romantic ambiance in the dining room & lively atmosphere at the bar.
Our server, Patrick was really terrific. He was friendly, knowledgeable & attentative. Our party of 6 ordered from both the regular & the pre-fixe menus. Each of us were delighted with the food from appetizers to desserts. We also enjoyed our cocktails & wine.
Staff at the bar are really nice too. Hosts are friendly & accomodating in-person & on the phone.
Easy to make reservations via OpenTable but for parties of 4 or more you must call to have your guest number increased. Stress-free parking lot next to restaurant.
We are looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend for dinner or just hanging out at the bar. Terrific happy hour Sun-Fri (only at the bar - see website for times & specials like Sunday 1-7 pm half off bottles of wine.)
The server Chris was absolutely terrible. He did not check up on us once, or our food, or drinks at all. We had to ask for refills every time we wanted one. The entrees took 45 mins after they took our salads away. Through out our entire meal Chris was no where to be found when something was needed. It was my husbands birthday and it was not enjoyable because of the service we had with Chris. When you go to dinner and spend nearly 200 dollars , you expect the entire experience to be enjoyable and match the prices on the menu. Very disappointed.
Food is always fantastic. Waiter was fine but inattentive. Not the standard of service we are used to. Hostess was clearly annoyed we requested a different table . We had a reservation and our table was way too close to another table and there were better tables available.
It has been quite some time since we last dined at Giumarello’s and I was disappointed. First let me say that we went for to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, a big night for us. Unfortunately, we both had to work and we weren’t able to go until late so we made an 8:30 reservation. When we arrived, we were seated at a table near the corner of the room. The bar was loud and someone was playing the piano. The next room had a fireplace and the ambiance was so much nicer. I guess I should of asked to be moved because it wasn’t the best place to sit, we felt like we were placed out of the way. not a major issue just disappointed. Our waiter Chris could not have been nicer. He explained everything and offered suggestions. When we finished our appetizers, we realized that friends were in the restaurant celebrating a birthday. We went over to talk with them and Chris came to let us know that our salads were on the table. We stayed to talk a little longer and when we returned to our table, I felt like we annoyed the wait staff (not Chris), they all seemed to be looking at us. Chris then asked us when we would be ready for our entree. He mentioned something about the kitchen being ready to close. Of course we said to bring it out. My husband enjoyed his steak but the scallops I ordered were slightly under done. Chris then asked if we wanted anything else. My husband order coffee and when he brought it out we asked if they had creme brûlée for dessert. We were told that the pastry chef had already left. Again, disappointed. Then the valet came to our table and said our car was parked out front because he was leaving for the night. Again, we felt like we annoyed the staff by still being there. We live about 10 minutes from the restaurant and we were home by 1015. When I checked the web the hours said open til 930 and last reservation on open table was for 915. We felt rushed and disappointed that we didn’t get the special nigh we were looking forward to.
We have missed this place since moving an hour away. It was definitely worth the drive to celebrate my husband’s birthday with friends. Kenny, one of the managers, went out of his way to ensure we had a booth in the bar area. The service here NEVER disappoints and the food is always INCREDIBLE!! Thank you, Kenny for going above and beyond for us! Can’t wait to plan our next trip back!
This was one of my favorites. This was our annual traditional girlfriend gathering here as usual. My food was horrible. Taste like they have a new Chef. My butternut squash was hard and tasted horrible. I told the waiter. She took it back, it returned mashed and taste like they put a little butter on top... so bad I spit it in a napkin. Blackened Salmon tasteless. We all ordered cheesecake and it had some type of nuts on top I almost broke my tooth. The waitress sent a female manager over and all we could say is do we want another dessert. I felt like I spent $30 for a good side salad and the delicious peppers and bread.
I was excited to go back to Giumarello’s so that I could order my favorite dish there - the red mussels over linguini. I requested that the pasta be “al dente” and it was prepared to perfection. I discovered their buffalo shrimp appetizer which was the best I ever had!! Our server was completely attentive but not overbearing. He was there when we needed him and he was interesting to speak with. My (repeat) visit to Giumarello’s was perfect, perfect, perfect. Planning a return visit very soon!!
We have never been disappointed in this great restaurant. There is an option for fun dining at the bar as well as a quieter room that is more family oriented. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. The entertainment, piano, makes the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Valet parking is convenient.
