Incredible dining experience! Trevor, the manager was so hospitable and had the most incredible recommendations. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Very interesting, tasty food. Very attentive, but not hovering, waiter with excellent recommendations for wine. AND if you get in line to be one of the first in the door at opening time, you can sit at the bar and get the same menu but not have to wait 3 weeks for
a reservation. Service is great at the bar. Go for it!

Third time eating here and it continues to impress me--a major statement from a self-described food snob. I eat pescetarian--no shellfish--and am abled to make things work--although I do wish there were more options that didn't require removing ingredients.

One of the best meals EVER, and I'm 62 years old. Wonderful service, very detailed menu, food was scrumptious. We enjoyed every bite. Be careful not to over order - everything sounds great and it's easy to over order. Everything we ordered was out of this world delish. The duck confit pasta in some kind of creamy mushroom sauce was my favorite. CAn't recall what others at our table had but everyone was enthusiastic about their own meal. Am happy to recommend this wonderful place to one and all.

We had a really outstanding dinner here. Every dish was unique and marvelous; especially loved the anchovies and the tagliatelli. The service was attentive without being obtrusive. The only downside was the gusts of freezing air blowing in every time someone opened the front door.

Great as always. This time we did the chef's tasting. It was so much food. We had to take home some duck we just couldn't finish. It was so good though! They've mastered comfort food with incredibly balanced and nuanced flavors. Giulia is definitely a favorite restaurant of ours.

We've been to Giulia a few times now, usually for an anniversary or birthday. We always get wine, a small plate, two pastas, and cappuccinos. Pastas, wine, and dessert were great this time but Brussels sprouts left something to be desired (good but not "wow"). The service is always excellent - just attentive enough. Nice ambiance although the bathrooms aren't as nice as you'd hope.

Giulia’s never disappoints! The food is fresh and beautifully presented. The tuna crudo, antipasti, pasta dishes are delicious. They do a great job preparing fish. Do not miss the pistachio gelato. Jane

Giulia is very difficult to get a reservation on through Open Table. I don't know if all of their tables are available through Open table, but when a new set of days open up, you need to reserve right away (Friday's and Saturday's) or you will be eating at 10:30 PM.

But the food was terrific. My wife had the pasta and I had the scallops. Both were fantastic. My wife loved my dish so much she stole more than a bite to "sample". The only complaint was that the bread was a little slow in coming at the start. We'd go again in a heartbeat.

Top rate, genuine bent Italian Food. This is not your "spaghetti and meatballs/Chicken Parmesan" kind of place, but a restaurant with a well thought out, creative-yet authentic menu. Very comprehensive wine list that is too much of a stretch on one's wallet. The Pistachio Gelato for desert was worth the trip all on it's own. The restaurant carries a very nice, casualesque vibe with very good service...Fancy without the pretentiousness of fancy dress.

Great, but not excellent! We had an appetizer and split two pasta dishes that were very good. I've heard people rave about this place. We would go back, but it wasn't a meal that made me say I have to go back.

Delicious food. My favorite restaurant in the Boston area. Highly recommend the wild boar pasta, the steak, and the small cakes they serve as an appetizer. The brussel sprouts were just okay-- they didn't go well with the rest of the food.

I have been to Giulia many times over the years, and I would put it as consistently one of the best (if not the best) restaurants in Boston area. Service is polite, but relaxed as is the atmosphere. The food is fenomenal. In short, we always had a great time going there.

Marissa and Trevor made our first dining experience at Giulia a great success. Marissa provided personal service and Trevor offered his expertise in finding the right drinks to suit each of our individual needs. When we arrived for our reservation, we were seated immediately (first good sign). We were unsure about our drink selections. So Trevor gave us tasting samples (second good sign) and continued to try to find the perfect wine or cocktail. Marissa was always there when we needed her, and off helping someone else when we didn't (third good sign). Then there was the food. We enjoyed our meals thoroughly. And to top it off, we did not tell them that someone was celebrating a birthday, but they overheard us and to my surprise, a small dessert appeared with a single candle (and we're sold!). When served with such attention to detail, it makes the food taste even better. You want to come back to places where you feel welcome. Giulia is at the top of my list and is a great neighborhood gem.

After a year of trying to get a reservation (for a decent time for dinner), we finally got a 6:30p Thursday reservation, and it was so worth the wait. The space is intimate, but we didn't feel like we were having dinner with the strangers next to us. The seating at the bar looked like a great spot too. We both loved our dishes and argued over which one was better. The sommelier helped us pick a great bottle of wine and we of course had room for dessert. You must order a pasta dish and the chocolate dessert! We will be back, when we can get another reservation. One of my new favorite places.

Reading previous reviews, I wasn't sure whether this place is overhyped - but Giulia is worth all the praise it gets. We loved the atmosphere, it's casual but still sophisticated. Service was exemplary - our waiter had encyclopedic knowledge of the dishes and recommended perfect wine pairings. And the food itself was the star - creative without being gimmicky, authentic and honest. Great combinations of flavors and textures. Can't wait to go back!

The food was certainly very tasty, wine pairings spot-on, and service at the bar most entertaining. I just had expected more from the kitchen in terms of bold flavors or unusual combinations.

We have been visiting Giulia's for three years now and have always had a wonderfully delIcious meal and the service has been exemplary. On our last visit, we were disappointed with the music soundtrack. It detracted from the otherwise lovely ambiance and experience.

Dinner was good, but really not spectacular. We expected a bit more. Server really did not explain entrees; we had to listen to the bartender explain them. Was actually never even asked if we wanted a cocktail except within a moment of sitting down.

Very enjoyable dining for our family of 4 including 2 early 20's kids. Meal options suited everyone. Remember the Maine bourbon cocktail was loaded with spices, not too sweet. The chicken liver plate first, absolutely delicious. Suspect cognac used, very rich. Pasta dish of pappardelle with wild boar for me, a bit heavy with a rich stock, but delicious. Capellini with shrimp pasta was strong with shrimp flavor, but delicious. Carrot cake for dessert was more like a stiff pudding, but pleasantly mild with carrot flavor and spices. Will return to try more of the dishes. Perhaps with a crowd of friends to occupy the table in the rear in front of the kitchen.
