Giulia puts a particular emphasis on hand-crafted pastas, made each day on our custom-built chef"s table adjacent to the open kitchen. Reserve the Pasta Table for a special event for up to12 people!
Best of Boston Italian Restaurant. All Italian wine list with unique Italian varietals. Local purveyors, dry aged local beef, burrata di puglia, stone milled flours, vegetarian options. Chef’s tasting menu. House baked bread, gelato and dolci.
I love Giulia. It’s an amazing place. It’s like going on a vacation for the evening. Great food. Spectacular wait staff. Not at all pretentious yet it it is a sublime experience
I heard great things about Giulia - I suspect if you go for the pasta, you will be in good shape, but I ordered the steak which was tough and the greens were overly dressed and salty. the service was also very slow.
Another great dinner at Giulia. Food was creative and delicious. Wines were paired well. Desserts were excellent. Highly recommend! Reserve early.
One tip about getting a reservation, keep checking Open Table every morning. It took me a while, but it’s worth it. We had a great meal, everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, locally sourced. The menu changes, but whatever they serve, you’ll like, I’m a picky person so you can trust me!
This is our second time visiting Giulia and we are big fans! We went for a birthday dinner , we were able to sit at the bar which is our preference so that we can share several plates. Everything we ate was delicious from the homemade pasta to the fresh striped bass. The yellowtail crudo is one of our absolute favorite crudos we’ve had! The bartenders were fantastic, they had recommendations on wine and were very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. They were friendly and made the evening that much more special. We will definitely be returning.
This is my wife and my favorite date night spot. It’s calm, fun, and the food is insanely delicious. The homemade pasta is delectable and the recipes are unique, memorable, and always changing. If you like having meals that you remember years later, while you spend only nominally more than what you’d spend at a boring restaurant, go to Giulia. This is a restaurant where you can tell that the chefs are having fun. Your tastebuds will beg you to make another reservation.
This was our first visit to Giulia. It was superb from the moment we walked through the door. The menu selections were unusual, creative, beautifully presented and served, and utterly delicious. The setting was subtle upscale Cambridge, yet unpretentious and welcoming. This restaurant justifies all the buzz about it. Of course we’ll return.
Delicious appetizers, pastas, and desserts! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Love at first bite. Best restaurant I've eaten at this year. Every dish, from the marinated olives to the chocolate terrine was perfection. Easily the best pasta I've had in Boston area. Incredibly well-trained waitstaff only added to the pleasure of discovering an innovative kitchen.
Great food! Deserves all the wonderful accolades! Already booked another reservation!
I have been to Giulias many times and the food and the service is always outstanding! Planning another visit soon.
Very creative food. Don’t think it is something you shouldn’t try because you should. Wines you never heard of from Italy that are nevertheless quite good and reasonably priced. Waitstaff is very knowledgeable and their advice is good.
The food was delicious but even more important, our server did not miss a beat.
It was a wonderful experience and sets the bar for future meals.
The food is great here, but the service could be significantly improved. Of the couple of times I've been here, restaurant hostesses have been consistently unfriendly and short with customers. That should not come with fine dining. I hope next time I come the service matches the quality of the food, because it hasn't.
We have been trying to make a reservation for months and finally got one. Worth the wait. Will be back.
Music is too loud. The best music is no music so people can have a conversation. Pasta dish was too salty. Fresh ingredients and tasty special sauce.
yes without question--- hope not tp wait another 2 yrs
Amy, and the rest of the wait staff , were pleasant and helpful, and
the maitre d accomodated quickly a request to shut redirect the a.c. from blowing down upon my wife- all by way of saying that the service is prompt and professional.
the bolognese was superb as was the Nebbiolo suggested by Amy
The food was excellent, not spectacular. An appetizer of halibut crudo was well done, extremely fresh fish served with a cilantro "broth", lemon, olive oil and a radish/onion or shallot garnish. The pasta dish special was a bolognese finished with chicken liver mousse was very good, pasta perfectly cooked and the bolognese was very tasty with a nice depth to it. Fun. A warning to less adventurous diners - you are not going to find typical Italian dishes here.
Went to Giulia specifically for the tasting menu, which had been highly recommended. We were told it was not available. There was no explanation and no one could tell us when it would be available. I was very disappointed.
Alwas a great meal
We had a wonderful dining experience! The food was creative and delicious! All four of us were beyond satisfied with our culinary experience! The semolina cakes, the insalata di agretti, the buratta di andria, as well as the homemade pastas, were pure taste treats! Jessie, our waitress, took excellent care of us; she performed her job with remarkable professionalism and grace!!!
I highly recommend the experience!
As foodies there is usually one or two dishes that disappoints. Not the case at Giulia! Everything we had had depth of flavor with perfectly matched herbs, spices, textures, and temperatures. Definitely do not miss the goat milk agnolotti and the bagna cauda. It was also surprisingly quiet for a small place which made it feel more cozy and makes conversation easier. Our server gave us advice on what to order and suggestions for wine. My only complaint is that it is so hard to get a reservation because it's so well-loved!
Fabulous service with excellent food. Felt lucky to get a last minute reservation. We will be back.
We were quite surprised the fish option (halibut) was totally sold out by 6:45 pm!! All four in our party were going to order it. Also, it took forever to have bread brought to our table. However, the servers were very friendly and professional.
Excellent food and restaurant team. Will return again soon!
The service and food were both AMAZING
The food was delicious — unique dishes that you wouldn’t necessarily see elsewhere. The bigoli en salsa pasta was excellent and the meatballs and pesto flatbread we had as appetisers were as well. The waiter was very knowledgable and friendly, overall a great experience!
Took my friend to Giulia for her birthday. It was wonderful! Great service and delicious food.
Had a reservation on the later side and the ambience was still great. Food was predictably amazing!
Excellent meal, attentive but not pushy service. Truly a delightful experience.
One of the best meals we've had in Boston area. The food is excellent quality - I highly recommend trying their tasting menu with wine pairing.
Food and wine were super! This is creative, balanced and always tasty food. Giulia showcases very solid proficiency in the craft of pasta and creation of beautiful plates, and the warm atmosphere of this small restaurant helps the food, stellar ingredients and wine shine all the more.
The only downside is the number of people standing about the bar area, and those standing and waiting for a spot. It feels a bit crowded.
Best pasta in all of the Boston area. A dining experience worth waiting for. Outstanding, creative cooking from appetizers through desert. Wish it was not so hard to get a reservation!
Birthday! The only place we go to celebrate a special occasion!
We had an amazing time! Our baby sitter cancelled and they were very accommodating finding a larger table for us! Food is delicious, service is amazing, highly recommend it!
I love Giulia, but tonight the food was just ok. Service- great. The food, not “next level,”
Excellent food, and especially excellent service! A+
The server kindly had the music turned down for us!
My favorite restaurant hands down!!!!!
