Another great meal. The service was perfectly paced, prompt though not rushed. The food was great as always. Our waitress suggested a nice wine that worked for both meals. Very nice evening.
The tasting menu is fantastic and a great value. $75 may seem steep, but we were all STUFFED by the end. It was an incredible meal.
Very good selections. Don’t be afraid to have the waiter explain the menu. Don’t expect the traditional Italian food. Rustic Italian recipes and home made pasta.
Our party was lucky enough to get the window seat. We could hear each other and sit very comfortably but did not feel isolated from the nice ambience of the resturant. This was my second visit and the food was superb. We all spent 65 dollars each including wine.
Giulia is a nice resturant with great food, but not worth the 1 month wait for a reservation in my opinion. The pasta was good and on the level of other restaurants in Boston with similar offerings. I felt that the reviews I read beforehand over-hyped the restaurant and while I enjoyed it, I live in Boston and would not go out of my way to travel into Cambridge to dine there again.
We spent a year looking for a go-to Italian restaurant in Boston - now anytime we want to go out, Guilia's is always our first choice. Excellent pastas, great balance of flavors, attentive service, elegant and cozy atmosphere.
Great pasta, excellent service. Very friendly and relax atmosphere
Sensational in every way. The staff were extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and they were attentive and fun while also letting us enjoy our evening. We had a great bottle of Montepulciano and all of the food was delicious, standouts were the chicken liver crostini, lamb sausage entre, special pork antipasto, bucattini, and wild boar papperdele (pls excuse misspellings). Great birthday dinner for my wife and friends.
Wonderful food in a friendly casual setting
Service was strained. Server was all business, zero warmth. As it was our 3d visit we did not choose pasta nor "todays special" duck for $45 - our server did not hide his disappointment. Wine choices are solid good, but not exceptional for the price. We chose a satisfying Valpolicella ripasso
Octopus did stand out - it melt in our mouths, scallop -very good, fresh and citrusy , goat milk ricotta was sublime, but it had a way too much fry herbs on top that was killing the delicate flavor. roasted beats work very well with powdered hazelnuts.
Overall a solid, meal, but not a gustatory revolution. On a previous occasion we had house made pasta with fresh white truffles - that was spectacular.
All of the food was outstanding. Highlights were the pappardelle and the chicken liver crostini. Jess was our server and couldn't have been more informative and genuinely sweet. Every aspect of dining here was 5 star. Thank you for a great night Giulia!.
As good as ever. Great place to go with friends. The wild boar pappardelle is the best!
Our meal at Giulia last night was superb. The four of us agreed that it was one of the best meals we’ve had in Boston and we are all foodies. The pastas were delicious and very light. The combination of flavors in each dish, from appetizers to desserts, were unusual but sublime. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, advising of us the different flavors in each dish and commenting that we order whatever calls” to our palates. Kudos to a fantastic little restaurant! We will be back.
Food was fabulous! Wine was delicious. Service was very good. Thanks for a great night
Maitre’d was great in suggesting dishes.
Semolina cakes, chicken liver crostada were delicious
Wild boar papardelle had 2 people in our party ready to make a reservation for the next night!
Desserts were a step above.
Wait staff were friendly, helpful, and present for the right amount of time
The food was amazing! We did the tasting menu and requested two dishes to be included and they worked it in perfectly! I was sooooo full by the end but really wish I had an extra stomach. My only complaint is the person greeting us was a little cold/not super welcoming, but out waiters were AMAZING!
Lovely restaurant. Every dish we sampled was wonderful, even if it sounded rather pedestrian on the menu. Appetizers good sized. Could actually share them. Favorite dishes: squid and octopus started, spaghetti with wild boar. Service was good and our serve seemed very knowledgeable.
Good food and nice service. Coffee was bad though. And expensive. Impossible to make a reservation.
Always Great food - especially the octopus and beet and burrata appetizers - pastas are yummy as well
Love the casual atmosphere
Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff
We went to Giulia to celebrate a friends birthday. The cocktails, food, and service were all outstanding! We tried the warm semolina cakes, the chicken liver crostini, and the buratta for appetizers. We also tried a special app which was a tartar with white truffle. Amazing! For dinner, we had the bucatini, the pappardelle with wild boar, and the beef. The meal was delicious from beginning to end. It was a wonderful night! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations are hard to get, but worth the wait!
This place is as hyped up as it should be. Delicious food, great staff, and good cocktails. Perfect place for celebrating any special occasion.
The service was excellent, engaged and knowledgeable. The food was everything we had hoped for.
Absolutely fantastic and delicious food. A little pricey, but great food and atmosphere.
After all the hype and waiting for months to get a reservation, we were expecting a real treat. The food was meh. The boar parpadelle was greasy and pedestrian. The spaghetti with anchovies were gooey and unappetizing. Since both of our main dishes were so mediocre, we didn't stay for dessert. Even the wine fair to meet expectations. The bread and olive oil were the highlights.
The food was great. Entree portions were on the smaller side, but good flavor and value. Each of the dishes was tasty, especially the octopus. Bread service was great. Server was attentive, but she spilled a full glass of water on the table and on 2 out of our party of 4. We cleaned up most of it and she apologizes and replaced our napkins. I was surprised that the Manager never came by and they didn't take anything off of our $300 bill. Other that that and the service being a bit less attentive toward the end, we enjoyed the dishes.
Love this restaurant. Be wary of Cambridge parking laws. Sign may say 8-6. Really 8-8 pm. Got nabbed at 7:09 arrived at 6:05. Food as always is the best. Whipped ricotta on flat bread was awesome. Buratta and beets is excellent. Always love the pappardelle with wild boar. Sin loved he venison. Dessert was great the chocolate with mint tasted like a thin mint cookie. Only 1 complaint. The cappuccino was Luke warm. I like it hotter. Can’t wait to go back
Great food great ambiance for a dinner date!
This is consistently my favorite restaurant in the Boston area. Superb service, outstanding/close-your-eyes-as-you-eat food, and well-made cocktails. Hard to get an early reservation. I usually check a month out and put something on the calendar. Or, book a late time and call that day to see if anything earlier has opened up. Please go. Just do it.
Pasta that they offer is not authentic Italian.
Italians do not embellish pasta like they do.
Also pasta was over cooked, not al dente!
Food was absolutely outstanding. The chicken liver crostini was not something I would usually try, but I really enjoyed it. The service was slow and we watched our drinks sit on the bar for over 10 minutes before our waitress served them to us, which was frustrating. Overall, still a great experience.
I went there to celebrate my dear friend's birthday. We did the tasting menu and the food portions were very generous. Everything was delicious.
I'll keep this short and sweet.
I cannot recommend Giulia enough.
Food from start to finish (even the starting free bread + olive oil) was stellar and service was on point. They even included a (trick!) candle with dessert to celebrate an anniversary (indicated when I reserved it). Very nice ambiance. The chicken liver and pappardelle with wild boar were definitely highlights of the meal (and pictures don't do it justice).
Food was good. Most dishes were very tasty. There were 5 of us. Three of us loved our food, one was okay last was not that great. For the price, the value wasn’t too good
Amazing experience for my spouse s birthday. Had the tasting menu with wine accord. Sublime. Thank you .
Excellent and knowledgeable server. The food was excellent... super fresh and had amazing combinations and complex flavor layerings. It’s the kind of food that gives you goosebumps and reminds you to slow down and enjoy life.
Over all it was great, just not quite what we expected. Very energetic bar scene and was anticipating more of a low key quiet environment.
Pasta was amazing, tried the lamb sausage and it wasn't quite our taste.
Very friendly wait staff, who took care of us very well.
Would definitely go back, just for a more casual occasion.
Five stars on everything. The food sang. Amazing and yummy.
Extraordinary and creative cuisine. Worth the wait.
Our party who rates all the restaurants we go to rated this as one of our top choices for 2018.

I've been here many times. The food is consistently great!
