We have been to Griasole twice. Each time food, drinks and service was excellent. The atmosphere is really cozy and the staff is excellent as they are very attentive to the customers. This is a neighborhood gem that is located a block away from the tropicana. Prices are reasonable and owners are very friendly. If you do not want to deal with the casino crowds and want excellent home made Italian food, Griasoles is the place to go. We will definitely be back.

Still the best Italian on or off island for miles! Their branzino is to die for and no one does it better. Great little bar and winter or summer the place is lively.

We were seated at 6:30 and did not receive our entrées until 810. This is the slowest service I've ever had in this restaurant. The waiter seem to be present and willing to get whatever we ask however he was not able to bring any food out of the kitchen in a proper amount of time. Was there a problem with the kitchen staff?

I was with my Italian relatives during the holidays and they recommend we try this. I knew it was going to be a great experience when the owner or manager greeted us at the door with a warm welcome in Italian. The atmosphere, with the pizza oven glowing in the background was perfect.
Service was top notch and a very handsome wait staff. And the food was out of this world. Truly the best Italian place I have experience, and my experience in both dining in this cuisine and cooking it runs deep.

We had a fantastic dinner on a Friday night during XMas holiday week - what lovely decor. We dine here often and in summer is very busy and sometimes long wait for tables, etc. The food is always very good, but we were really able to relax and enjoy being that it is less crowded in winter. This was a particularly great night at the restaurant. They had a wonderful three course prix fixe offering that was fantastic for twenty six dollars. First course we had delicious filet carpaccio appetizer with artichoke, asparagus, shaved parm and truffle oil - also shared amazing pizza first course - hand made and perhaps among the best pizza outside of Naples, Italy I've ever had. Main course on the prix fixe I had home made tagliatelle bolognese - yummy. Dessert was to die for... three scoops of creamy dark chocolate mousse and three scoops of Bristol Creme flavored gelato. In the past I've ordered the special salt - baked bronzino - outstanding. (not on the special). This is a consistently very very good restaurant with excellent preparation and quality - a good value. I rarely give five stars except for really over-the-top unique and creative dining experiences but this comes close - if they had 4.5 would have given that.

Their "Seven Fishes Dinner" on Christmas Eve was wonderful, but we had to wait a whole hour after our reservation time (we were prompt) to be seated. Thus the low rating on service. They must have thought people would eat and leave, but opening presents and visiting take extra time. We'll certainly go back, but not on Xmas Eve.

This was only my second visit but I will return again and again. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is romantic. My husband and I decided to start a new tradition of fine dining just before Christmas. I am so glad we selected this restaurant, it certainly made the evening very special.

The service, food, friendly atmosphere of Girasole really stands out from the rest of the restaurants in Atlantic City. The homemade pasta is outstanding and the enormous selection is definitely a huge draw. This family owned restaurant does it right in every aspect. I highly recommend it .It's better than most restaurants in the Casinos.

This is the place to go for great Italian. I've had the chicken girasole and I've had their Bianca pizza. Both experiences were exceptional. I am not getting ripped off at a casino restaurant when you have places like this. Also the drinks were quite generous.

I brought another foodie with me and we had an early dinner reservation to avoid the noise. We ordered off the main prix fixe menu and the wrong dinner was served. The bus person was the only person that had ANY level of attention to detail. They brought the wrong dinner out and then when we asked to pay the bill they had another meal added to the bill. No apologies just "Oh, I will remove it from your bill!" The sounds of real italian being spoken amongst the guests and staff could have been enchanting except we were in an overstuffed glass enclosed room on Atlantic Ave in AC. Mistakes happen however learn some decorum and apologize profusely even if you don't mean it. This is the best food in AC however the service is marginal at best.

Dined with a table of 6. The food was very good. The dining experience...not so much. Our main courses did not arrive at the same time. Half our party watched their food get cold while waiting for the rest of us to be served. Annoying and uncomfortable. We were seated at a (requested) round table. The table was right in front of the entrance to the kitchen and too close to other tables. Some of us were continually bumped and brushed up against throughout dinner. There were other available round 6 tops in more desirable locations that could have been offered to us when we arrived.

This is a good find in AC. It doesn't feel too touristy (i.e., not outrageously priced) and the ambiance was a nice break from all of the loud music, flashing lights, etc. The food was hit or miss. The orecchiette with sausage and the polenta were very bland. But, the carbonara and the bolognese were delicious. They also have a reasonably priced wine list. I'd check it out - I think it's one of the better dining options in the area and they can accommodate large groups.

I usually make a reservation at Chef Vola when I go to AC, but I was there on a Monday and went with Girasole after finding it at open table. The place is a block from the exit of the Tropicana.
Sure, the ambiance is a bit strange, but the food was top notch and the service was friendly and attentive. Our server spoke very broken English, but that added to the experience! They had a mid week dinner special, three courses for $33.00. My family loved it and we will be back soon!

My only regret is that I just discovered this place!

On our recent visit we brought 4 guests with us. Some of our dinners were good, but 2 of the dinners were not. When we received our bill my husband reviewed it and found two extra charges for $19.50 each that did not belong to us. When my husband spoke to our waiter , he responded by saying Oh yes, I made a mistake.
