We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Girasole! A very warm and welcoming place with great food and very attentive service. Upon recommendation we shared octopus appetizer, braciola entree and a pasta dish with shrimp, clams and crabmeat. Everything was outstanding!
Terrific restaurant - authentic Italian and delicious
My moms 70th birthday
Food and service took forever! I ordered an app for my meal (after we had apps and salads) and it took almost 2 hours to come out. Two tables around us received their food before us despite being seated after us. We had a reservation and there was confusion to seat us. Ignored by the waiter most of the night. And the prices were out of hand. I have no problem spending money on a night out but the quality and ambience in no way justify the bill. AVOID!!!! There are plenty of other great spots down the shore - this is not one of them.
Food is always amazing. Have never been disappointed.
The food was wonderful and the service was fantastic.
great food and atmosphere-would highly recommend. great gem
We just love this restaurant ! It has a wonderful casually elegant ambiance, the food is consistently delicious, and the service is wonderful. We have yet, (including Cape May and Philadelphia) to see a selection of carpaccio as Girasole offers. These items are varied and delicious. They also prepare the best brussel sprouts you will consume ANYWHERE! The staff is very attentive to customers and the detail of their satisfaction, the cocktails are beautifully balanced, and the setting is comfortably sophisticated without being pretentious.
We are delighted the restaurant is so close so we can go often-and absolutely recommend it.
I hadn't been there in many years...friends suggested it. The food was good...should have been perfect for the time it took to prepare. Service was OK...will probably be many years before I'll return.
Salad was awful, had apples, a few walnuts and tasteless greens. Robbery for the ten or eleven dollars they charged. My wife had the Girasole Chicken. It was the size of a deck of cards, and looked like it had been boiled in water. Tasteless. She gave most of it to me to add to the minuscule amount of crab meat in my Black pasta and crab meat entree. Only saving grace was used our J’Eat book. You asked, that is our feelings. Will not go to post on Trip Advisor but I should.
Rude rude man. We had. 7:15 reservation. When we arrived he would t even take our name as there were so many people there. He just said he didn’t care about our reservation and he had to seat all the others in front of us. I don’t even think they look at the open table reservations. Or they let too many walk ins.
They are noisy and very rude.
Wow this was a gem! Fantastic cocktails and the most comfortable couches in the bar area. Somewhat eclectic decorating that was fascinating. We just loved the fireplace. And the food was out of this world ! The burrata mozzarella beet salad is to die for! The bronzini and salmon were splendid. And the service was top notch! Will definitely be making a repeat trip here on my next visit to AC.
Wonderful! Great service, better food. Perfect old school Italian dining.
Great food. Specialty drinks were very tasty service was excellent
I went for restaurant week. My first course was good (eggplant) then it went down hill. Our waiter was friendly but seemed rushed. Spilt water on our table when pouring and no apology or attemt to clean the spill. I tried something different "carpaccio". We didn't realize it was raw! Unedible to most. Sorry I would not return.
Very disappointed with the food on this visit. Pasta dishes were dry. Pizza was not as tasty as it had been on previous visits. They were out of one of the dishes advertised as a special.
Amazing food. Only complaint is that they charged us for dessert when it was supposed to be part of the Restaurant Week deal and we didn't notice. Probably an honest mistake, but the food was worth it anyway. Definitely one of the best kept secrets of AC.
Came here for the restaurant week lunch and we were very happy with the food. In addition to the prix fixe, we added the filet carpaccio; it was delicious and paired well with the sparkling rose (didn’t think to look at the name, it’s on their glass list). By the time dessert arrived, they had run out of the chocolate mousse and we were served a cheesecake instead. It was a complete miss. While we wish the pasta was house made (they use dried), we will be back!
Food just ok service very slow!
My favorite restaurant made even better during restaurant week. Amazing lunch deal. Awesome eggplant/zucchini appetizer, the BEST pizza in Atlantic City, made the old world Napoli way in a Neapolitan oven and a decadent chocolate mousse. If coming for dinner get the branzino! Always fantastic.
We were there for restaurant week
It was great meal for a great price
We had a fabulous mean at lunch during Restaurant Week. The weather outside was horrific, but coming into Girasole was like having someone waiting with a warm blanket and great food. All of us raved and just loved it. We’ll be back.
AC Restaurant Week must !!!!
Real Italian food, enjoyed very bite. I was here a couple times with different friends. I ordered different kind of food from the menu, to my surprise, the food was very tasty and authentic, not an ordinary American Italian food. It's a rare gem in AC, much better then Casino owned restaurants.
I had reservations for 7:00, we did not get seated until 7:40. The staff kept telling us “five minutes, five more minutes” for the 40 minutes we waited. Once we sat, the staff was quick in pouring our water glasses but a couple of us had asked for other drinks (some not even alcoholic), we waited about another 15 minutes for them because they forgot about our drinks. Once we started ordering from the restaurant week menu, this was about a half hour after actually being seated at this point, two out of the six of us dining we’re going to get the Gamberoni (jumbo shrimp with pesto and some sides), which we were informed that they ran out. It is the first day of restaurant week, how do you run out of jumbo shrimp number one, and number two, why were we not notified about that when we were seated? So the two of us had to scramble and figure out what else we were going to have for dinner. Appetizers were good, I had to wait about 5 minutes longer than everyone else to get mine. But they were good. Same thing happened with my dinner, everyone else at the table got their food besides me. Dinner was decent, portions were small I think but I come from an Italian family where portions are always big enough to have left overs. There were no left overs taken home with us. Dessert was awful, the cream puffs were okay, I was supposed to get creme brûlée, I got something that reminded me of stiff milk with blue berries on top. I didn’t even eat it it was so disgusting. Mind you we waited about another 20 minutes for our coffee and desserts and they weren’t even worth the wait. As we were walking about another table was getting served the creme brûlée and that actually looked good, I was disappointed that I didn’t get that since I ordered it. I should’ve said something to the waiter but at that point we were all over dinner and wanted to go home. Will I go back again, no. Am I happy that I paid restaurant week price for the food we received, yes; because I wouldn’t pay full price.
We attended for Restaurant Week to try out a new restaurant.
Food was excellent.
Service was superior.
Ambience was perfect.
We are going back at some point for more!!!
Had a nice evening.
Great food, great atmosphere.
The restaurant is beautifully appointed with Versace upholstery on chairs and Versace
artifacts throughout the restaurant. The food is excellent and creative. The delectable Pasta Neri, for example, is composed of squid ink pasta with artichokes and lump crab meat in a white wine sauce. There is a large variety of homemade pastas with a variety of sauces, ranging from
traditional Italian sauces to original offerings like the one mentioned above. The blood orange
margarita is exquisite. One of our company said that the chocolate martini was the best she'd
Both the food and service were excellent. The pasta is homemade and delicious and my girlfriend raved about the lamb chops. We now have a new restaurant added to our "go to" spot for AC.
Best Italian restaurant in Atlantic City. Service always friendly and excellent. Great ambience. The Branzino is amazing - a must have at least one in your life. Also the best pizza in town is here. Made the same way as in Naples, Italy. Other standouts are the Pappardelle con funghi and the melanzane e zucchini which is a spectacular appetizer.
The food is always great!!
You must try the bronzino and the Brussel sprouts!!!
The best main course in AC-salt encrusted Bronzino
I brought my boyfriend to Girasole for his 25th birthday, as per my parent's recommendation, and had an absolutely wonderful time there from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The food was divine, and we really enjoyed taking our time to appreciate all of the fine details that Girasole has to offer. For sure one of AC's hidden gems! 10/10 would recommend!
Overall, very nice restaurant. Prompt courteous service. Frittura Mista was a generous portion and very good. Brick oven pizza was very good, but a little burned underneath. The red sauce was on the Gnocchi e braciola was too acidyi. Sliced black angus sirloin with arugula was very good. The desserts were very disappointing. We had the Italian ricotta cheesecake and bluberry panna cotta.
Had dinner there for the first time.
Great service and wonderful food in a pretty setting.
Met a friend for dinner. Incredible wine suggested and delicious Halibut special. I will be back soon. Gabriella our waitress was lovely and very informative -wine and food!
Remind me of dinning in southern Italy, especially near Naples
Love love this restaurant. Definetly worth the trip!! Great food, service and ambiance.
Very good as always. Been going there for some time now and never had a bad meal, EVER!!!
Yes, I would go back, Yes, I would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.
