Our family arrived in America from Carini, Sicily and Pr. Avellino, Naples, Italy over forty years ago. They were in search of a better life for themselves and for future generations. Deep rooted in our family traditions are a welcoming nature, delicious food and a strong family structure. These are the traditions that we based the foundation of our restaurant upon. Giovanni’s opened in 1999 and our family’s passion for food and love of Italy keeps us dedicated to serving the freshest and most authentic Italian cuisine in all of Naples.

Chicken Marsala is my favorite
Lunch - Excellent chicken Parm, sole franchise both with pasta, nice garlic knots and fresh salads w Italian and creamy Italian dressing. Everything was excellent. Very large indoor dining also outdoor seating. Highly recommend it is our new favorite Italian casual dining restaurant.

The food was excellent, we had outside seating.Very busy on a Saturday night so the service was a little slow, but overall I highly recommend this restaurant
I've been here several times and I brought 2 friends who have never been. They absolutely loved it. The food is great and our waiter (James) was outstanding.

We were there once before my wife love the veal
This time however it was very bland and uneventful not to mention the portion was minuscule with a sweet tasting sauce and still had to pay for a very small salad at that price...

Seems like a very popular neighborhood gem with delicious food and attentive service. A bit noisy, but not uncomfortably loud. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy good food with friends in a casual unpretentious setting.

The garlic bread is so good. I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious .. enough for 2 meals. Hubby had the chicken parm which he also said was very good. I have always had great meals at Giovanni's.
While Giovannis was always our "go to" Italian place in Naples, our experience Saturday night was awful. The first course was a tomato and burrata appetizer. The tomatoes were rock hard and inedible. When I pointed that out to our waiter he went and got the manager rather than just taking it back. She looked at my plate and agreed. She said she would remove it from the bill which was fine. Then, about 20 minutes later another app was brought out with tomatoes that were appropriately ripe. While anyone in the kitchen would have sent the first plate out is beyond me. While we waited for our main course we pointed out to the hostess that we needed more forks. We were curtly told "that's your waiters job". Well good luck finding him. I had asked for Chicken Milanese as an entree and was assured it was not a problem although not on the regular menu. When it came out, it was a piece of breaded chicken on a plate. That's it. No arugula, tomatoes or anything. Thank goodness we all had a sense of humor left by that point, because we just laughed and paid the bill and left. Such a disappointing experience.

My husband and I decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day and our Anniversary early with a visit to one of the best Italian restaurants in Naples. We hadn’t been there in quite a few months due to covid and were not disappointed with either the food, the excellent service (James was great) and the elegant ambiance. It was a wonderful night out!
This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. From the friendly hostesses , to the knowledgeable and accommodating wait staff and the fantastic food, this is definitely our new go to place for a great Italian dinner. So many great options in terms of food and drink.

Found this little hidden restaurant years ago. Its kind of dark and there's a lot of old people but if you want really good Italian food, this is the place!!

Last minute reservation it was a good choice. Excellent service, very accommodating as we changed around a couple of dishes. Food was very good and well presented.

Because it serves OUTSTANDING food, and the BEST veal in Naples, it was crowded, in fact sold out when we arrived at 6:50.
We were given a booth as requested. Our server, Maria, was lovely and very capable.
However, she was overwhelmed by other tables and unable to provide the service we have always experienced here. I felt sorry for Maria because she was trying so hard to accomplish the impossible.
This was NOT her fault, but rather the fault of management!
IF you know you are going to be swamped, bring in enough servers to
provide usual = Excellent service.
OR only book patrons up to your ability to provide good/excellent service!
And nearly as bad, servers rushing, literally running through the narrow aisles, further dampened the experience.

We were right next to hostess stand very cramped & too much traffic coming & going for take out . Food was good . Server never came back after we were served to c it we needed anything or how everything was . We didn’t need anything so not a problem but usually customary to do so .

Loved the food....the restaurant seemed disorganized that night...we checked in at the hostess stand and told them we had a open table reservation for outside...she took us to our outside table with menus. Took forever for someone to wait on us after that...and actually got waited on after people that came after us..they even said they didn’t have a reservation! They got moved inside where it was warmer, very breezy that night.
We had a bottle of wine and two different dinners of Veal Chop..excellent.
Our 2nd time there. Ist time I had the sea bass special and it was awesome also!
My husband had the veal chop then also which he loves.
