Giovanni Ristorante & Bar Italiano
Our family arrived in America from Carini, Sicily and Pr. Avellino, Naples, Italy over forty years ago. They were in search of a better life for themselves and for future generations. Deep rooted in our family traditions are a welcoming nature, delicious food and a strong family structure. These are the traditions that we based the foundation of our restaurant upon. Giovanni’s opened in 1999 and our family’s passion for food and love of Italy keeps us dedicated to serving the freshest and most authentic Italian cuisine in all of Naples.

We love this restaurant
Perfect restaurant if you're looking for great food and service, whether dine in, take out , family occasions or date night, they have it all.
Giovanni’s is our neighborhood “kitchen.” The food is good and the team there always does their best to make sure we feel welcomed and our business is appreciated.
Authentic Italian cuisine. Knowledgeable wait staff. Best eggplant parm in Collier County!
Great neighborhood restaurant with good food and great service.
All four entrees were awful. Dinner fish special was so salty couldnt even taste the fish. Filet was so overcooked it had no flavor. Veal piccata was overbreaded and the sauce was not even close to lemon or butter and the shrimp with capellini was flavorless...dipped the shrimp in the salty dinner special for some flavor. Should've gone to Olive Garden.
Love coming here. The pasta Bologna and pasta ala Vodka are my favorites. Happy to take guests here. Always enjoyable.
Unfortunately, I did not like this place at all. The soda was flat and the food was not fresh. I will not go again or recommend.
Great restaurant! Went for a family party and had a great time. Food and service were excellent! Love the happy hour at the bar - bartender Jared was awesome! The lamb chops appetizer was great as was the veal chop special. Highly recommend!
Waiter was funny, food was excellent.
Amazing Food with a great atmosphere, a bit busy most of the time but it’s understandable.
It’s an ok restaurant. Nothing memorable. Tomato sauce is rather runny, not hearty. The veal palm was ok, not even close to some other Italian restaurants in the area. The ‘bolognese’ was ground beef added into the tomato sauce. Very, very noisily. Tables are close together, restaurant voice will result in your dinner companions not participating in your conversation. Service was lackluster. As noted, it’s ok, but I have no reason to want to return.
Great authentic Italian food with an excellent staff that made our evening great...
We are new to Giovanni’s, but three visits in quick succession have made us fans. Food, for the most part, has been good to great. The linguine and clams were outstanding. The chicken Marsala ordinary. We like the half price wine list (until 6:30) and the white table cloths. Service has varied from great to a bit shaky with what we think was new staff. This is more than a spaghetti joint. The veal dishes delivered as did the grouper. This is very good food at reasonable prices. We’ll be back.
Great food and professional service. Visited two weeks in a row enjoyed each time
We had a fabulous waiter. He knew each of the menu items well. We welcomed his advice and had a fabulous dinner experience
Have eaten here in the past. The Italian food is absolutely excellent. The prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, our waitress was only okay. Friendly enough; however, not very helpful, nor willing to go the extra mile.
We love coming to this neighborhood Italian Bistro. The food is always very good and it is a handy location to order food for take out too. The interior is a bit dated and could be improved upon.
Enjoyed our meals. Love the bread but would have loved less garlic or just Italian bread
GREAT food.......Love that Scungilli.....................GREAT Service.................GREAT drinks..............
Looking forward to our next visit
We were a table of six and had an excellent waiter (Andy). Although it was a very busy night he took the time to explain the specials of the night, answer several questions about the regular menu items and followed up with us during dinner. The food was very good; in fact it was noted that all six of us had "cleaned our plates" which is unusual - everyone enjoyed their meal. I could have done without the melted cheese on top of my lobster ravioli. We found it very good food at a fairly reasonable price.
My chicken dish came with pasta but when I had asked she said it came with nothing. Found out later I couldn't have subbed veggies without a charge.
I had the gnocchi and was disappointed, apparently they don’t make their own pasta. It was probably store bought. My wife’s gnocchi was just as good or better.
Good value for the dollar. Very happy with the treatment our family received. Everyone cleaned their plates. Enjoy going there on special occasions.
The food was very good as usual, but our waiter had too many tables and was not attentive. The waiters are usually excellent but we caught a bad night.
One of my favorites in Naples and from the moment I arrive to the time I left was excellent!!!
Waiter named Daniel was not good. Had trouble keeping our order straight and was very slow to open a bottle of wine that was ordered by one of the people.
Our party of 4 requested outdoor seating upon arrival. Hostess advised that would be no problem and then continued to just stand and stare at us. I finally asked if we should seat ourselves and was told we should. Menus and water did not arrive after 10 minutes of waiting despite the only other outside occupied table had wait staff coming/going. Husband finally got up & requested menus from hostess which she handed to him. Another 10 minutes pass and husband this time walks up to hostess & requests if waitstaff can take our order. In the meantime, we requested a passing bus boy wipe our table down - it was done but very sloppily. Friendly waitress eventually appears to take orders. Three of us had chicken or veal dishes served with side of pasta. I had a pizza. My meal was the only one worth eating and enjoying. The chicken & veal dishes were served with no visual appeal, a very thin & runny sauce over the pasta and virtually tasteless. As this restaurant had been recommended by two different people, we had high hopes for it. Will not be returning.
We love Giovanni's! It's our "go-to" place to take friends for a wonderful Italian feast! Try the Eggplant, the Lasagna or the Oso Buco! Don't pass up the garlic rolls, either!!! Have dessert!
It doesn't matter who is your waiter or waitress, the Service is the same - Spectacular!
We had early bird appetizers and everything we ordered was great! We will be back and have told others. This is the place to go!
The wine at half off before 6:30 can’t be beat. Luv the veal saltimboca.
I love their food and our waitress (Kelly) was really, really good. I come for the Favorita pizza which is good though the sauce has tended to be on the salty said the past few times I've been there.
Really great neighborhood restaurant, with a varied menu, all of which is very good. Their pizza is fantastic, so meeting friends for Friday night pizza is the thing to do, or you can get carryout! They're known for their garlic knots, by the way. We love it because we don't have to travel far to get a great meal in a fun atmosphere.
A neighborhood gemwhere the food is always fabulously consistent and the service by Lucas was excellent!!
Whenever I take guests in town to Giovanni‘s rather than Fifth Avenue they have a wonderful time in this warm comfortable atmosphere
Very over priced I never heard of an Italian restaurant charging extra for pasta with their meal and extra for their salad it was my first time having dinner there and I will not be coming back .
Worst service we've had in a restaurant in a long time! We ordered two appetizers - got one and waited forever for second one to show up. We asked for cheese and they came back to our table after we were just about finished with appetizer. Ordered two glasses of wine during dinner and never received them. After we were done eating waitress comes to table and asked how our dinner was. Told her to forget getting our wine as we were now finished with dinner. TERRIBLE service! We don't plan to go back.
Happy evening.excellen food.
Good atmosphere but noisy.
We are new to the area and we will be going back.
Service was a Bit slow. Chicken Milanese was o k . Nice sauce , chicken could have been Browned more,. Husband liked the chicken parm. Loved the spamonii ice cream.
Excellent service and food!! I have been back three times and I am here for only 2 months!! Going back for a 4th and 5th time before I leave to go home!! The best food in Naples!!
Being from New York and of Italian descent, Italian food was a big part of my family and growing up. The food at Giovanni brings me back to my Mom's kitchen with their style of cooking, their sauce was not sweet or acidly. The Broccoli Rabe with sausage is my favorite they should have for main dinner entree. and they did not disappoint. The ending of Italian Cheese Cake with the hint of lemon was better some of the Italian bakeries I gone to.
