Had been here many years ago and now I know why I hadn’t returned. Service was lackluster and poor. Food was mediocre at best. My husband got a steak which he requested medium and it was well done. We advised the staff and they could care less. Was nice sitting outside but very noisy with other patrons speaking and shouting. Tables are old and wobbly. Would not recommend or return.
Amazing dinner. Will definitely we back.
lovely restaurant, great service, family owned and operated. been here two times - for lunch and dinner. pasta is fantastic, sauces yummy. ambience a bit old fashioned with white linen tablecloths - a nice throwback to where my grandparents would have taken us for fine dining.
Although the food in general was tasty, the service was slow and uneven. Our group got their plates at substantially different times with long waits. We had difficulty getting anyone waitstaffs attention for followup help, even for the simple request of more bread or water.
I am delighted to have discovered this wonderful place. Will be back soon with more friends.
If you want to dine in an intimate, peaceful environment reserve your table at Georgio’s today. The food is always delicious and the servers and friendly. There is no alcohol served however you may bring your own bottle of cheer. Two thumbs up!
I get it was Valentine’s Day and restaurants are over burdened. But we waited 15 mins for a waiter after we were seated to give even bring us water, who explained to us that he was “in the bathroom”. Price Fixe me u. Shrimp cocktail was three small shrimp. Mozz and tomato salad was awful. Tomato was so unripe it was very pink and hard to cut with a knife. Short ribs over risotto was an overcooked fatty mess over white rice. Veal chop was thin and tough. Even the coffee they served tasted like it was 3 hours old. All for $60 a person plus tax and gratuity. Total rip off. Don’t go near this place. It’s horrible.
Excellent food and service. Especially enjoyed the calamari. Great place for dinner
First time eating there, although I've known about it for a long time. Waitstaff was very attentive, food was very good. Space was clean, and decorated decently. Would definitely go back again.
I’ve been coming to Georgio’s. for many years and It never disappoints! Food and service is always outstanding!
Saturday night and wonderful table for two in a great location. The service was wonderful. A great venue for classic Italian dining
I’ve been dining at Giorgio’s for a number of years. The food is always top notch and the service is always friendly and professional. The restaurant is also very beautiful inside; you have the feeling you are inside a spacious dining room in someone’s home. I have taken many family members and friends here for lunch or dinner, and they always ask to go back again. They always remember their experience at Giorgio’s.
Another excellent dinner.
We have dined here regularly for many years and have always been TOTALLY SATISFIED: classic ambiance, fast service, delicious appetizers, entrees and deserts , AND at prices too good to be true!
The friendly professional demeanor of Ruben enhances your enjoyment of your meal.
We'll be back soon--------
Great meal, great service combined with great ambiance for an outstanding value.
Service was terrible. We had to wait for menus, the order and our meals when the restaurant was half empty. Two tables that were seated after us were served first. The waiter was missing most of the time.
It was very disappointing.
This was my forth or fifth visit to Giorgio's in so many years. Giorgio's has good food, excellent service and pleasant atmosphere. The interior could use a refresh, and the food although good is not excellent. However, the prices are reasonable and the owners very nice.
Just love the family atmosphere and kindly service. I’ve been several times, and keep coming back.
Enjoyable low-key atmosphere.... nice family-owned restaurant with pleasant ambiance.
Excellent dining as always.
Food was mediocre, my steak was awful for the price. Place needs updating too.
Great food and outstanding service.
Maria did great job. Will be back.
Seton Hall parents dinner with my sons dorm roommates and families. Food was fantastic. Had a reservation and sat down right away. Service could have been a bit better, we had 11 people and put food came out in drips and drabs. Overall a great experience and the prices were reasonable! Will definitely go there again.
Outstanding food, service, ambiance and really low prices.
Plus, your dinners come with fresh steamed vegetables, a rarity in Italian restaurants,
NOBODY MAKES DELICIOUS VEAL DISHES LIKE GIORGIO!!
AND the other dinner items are also superb---
The restaurant is attractive and inviting but the meal was off track . Calamari appetizer was rubbery and tasteless. Out of 4 meals only one guest liked theirs. Go with the pasta bolognese. Eggplant was not as described on menu. Told that chef made mistake and left out layers of meat but no solution offered and charged for meal anyway. Order for entree of salmon and side salad resulted in salad with slab of salmon on top and unable to provide a simple vinaigrette dressing. Place was empty at lunch and kitchen still unable to serve 4 meals as ordered. Too bad. Owner is nice. Waitress well meaning but confused.
First time. Won't be a second. We eat out quite often with simple, basic requirements - really good food, really good service and priced appropriately. Giorgio's is a quaint little restaurant with a pleasant wait staff. Patrons were all older adults, the lack of children and millennials seemed the reason for the civil noice level which allowed for pleasant dinner conversation. The menu was well rounded, food served at appropiate temperature. The veal and chicken entrees did not have any wow effect. The caprese appetizer needed salt to enhance the flavor and I never salt my food. The most annoying thing was the air conditioning. There were only 3 tables of people when we arrived. We asked to be seated away from the AC as we felt it blowing as soon as we walked in. The 3 tables offered were all quite cold and in direct air stream. There were other tables for 4, some could have been separated for 2 - they were not reserved, yet not offered. Two parties of two arrived as we were finishing our meal - they too complained about the AC blowing, the servers just shrugged. The espresso was left behind as it was not drinkable and the creme brûlée was caramelized to perfection but was so liquidy it was practically drinkable. That too was left behind. Too bad!
Lovely dinner experience
Wonderful wait staff very friendly
I have been coming to Giorgio’s for years and never disappoints. Great food. Great service. Menu could have a refresh but it’s really a local gem
The restaurant was small the menu was limited. It was no place to celebrate or give out gifts. My daughter opened her college send off gift and the table near us shhhhhhhhhhh’ed her. The service was minimum almost ignored.
A great restaurant!! The past, now and in the future. Will be back again and again
1st time visiting. Nice location, staff was pleasant and food was terrific
very polite and timely service, no hassle or issues
As expected, our dinners were as delicious as they have always been! Nobody makes veal dishes or rack of lamb like Giorgio. You DON'T need a knife to cut your veal or lamb chops-they are always so tender, you easily can cut them with your fork!
And, for dessert- you must for get to have a piece of Janet's home style Italian cheesecake.-it's THE BEST!!!.
We'll be back again soon
Love Giorgio’s! Great food and always a pleasant experience
When one goes out to dine, one wants not only good food but attentive service. At Giorgio's we found the former but lacked the latter
Everything was wonderful. We had a delicious dinner & birthday celebration. Food and service were excellent, and byob allowed us to enjoy our own wine.
We celebrated our goddaughter’s college graduation, on Thursday evening. We had a party of 10. The service was attentive and accurate. The food was beautifully presented and delicious.
Lovely ambiance and nice selection of choices. The service was good although we did not get the substitution that we requested. However, the waiter did take it back and bring us the proper dish the second time. The prices are higher than our usual restaurant choice, but the fact that we could bring our own wine, makes Giorgio's a decent value.
The food was excellent! We have eaten there in the past and returned because we were seeing a performance at SOPAC. The service was friendly but slow. They did not have enough staff. We had to rush to the theater.
What a great find! Ate here after my daughter's graduation from Seton Hall. Food was wonderful as was the service. Wish we lived closer!
We arrived on time and was seated right away. I immediately noticed that only eight eating utensils were on our table. We were a party of nine. It took me asking three times before I actually got the missing utensils. We had to ask for bread, while the table behind me got there without asking. Throughout the night we must have had four different servers. It seemed as though they were understaffed.
As for the food, it was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had only great things to say about it.
I would go again to see if it was just that night that the service was off and not a daily experience.
