I decided to try this place out after hearing about it from a few friends. Let me just say we weren't disappointed. The ambiance was nice and cozy. The service was amazing from every aspect and of course, the food was well worth every bite. The floor manager Petros was extremely attentive not only to us but to every guest. It was great to see someone that truly cared. He made us feel welcomed and we will definitely be back.
From the moment you walk in, the host is warm and welcoming and the the staff is the perfect combo of playful and professional. The food seriously rivals the neighborhood "top" restaurants with none of the pretense and at half the price. It's no wonder this place is still around after all this time...
Giorgio's is an NYC experience, in the best way in every sense! Everything always works together here, my go-to spot for entertaining family or friends or work colleagues visiting the city. Seafood and meats are always perfectly prepared. Ask for the daily risotto special, the best you'll taste anywhere!
Very good as always; our server was excellent.
Great service. Delicious and diverse Italian menu. Wonderful ambience
This is my absolute favorite neighborhood restaurant. I'm a little reluctant to give it all the credit it deserves since I love the fact that it is still relatively easy to get a reservation and I'd hate to see it become TOO popular. The food is plentiful, is subtly and unusually spiced, and cooked to perfection. The ambience is cosy and the service attentive. And they have been consistently producing their wonderful cuisine for years.
Cozy ambience with comfortable banquet seating. Food was outstanding. Recommend the grilled octopus, branzino and tuna Caruso. Gets warm-don’t over dress!
"There's no place like home" is what Giorgio's feels like. I don't know why we go anywhere else. The food is sublime, the vibe, the drinks, the music, the service is always so comforting. Hands down our favorite NYC restaurant.
Amazing food, great service, wonderful location and a wonderful place to meet up with family and friends for an impromptu reunion and celebration. Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Visiting from California. Found this neighborhood gem. Osso Buco was delicious. Grilled Octopus was out of this world, veal Parmigiana was enough for three people. Highly recommend
The air conditioning kept going on and off affecting the temperature in the room. Requesting a table away from the vents did not help
The food was great but I would not recommend
Sooooooo good!! The service, the vibe, the food... Lawwwd have mercy. 😊
The food is really good. It's a place we save for special occasions. On this particular evening, my wife wasn't entirely happy with our table location and the hostess, Amy, unhesitatingly moved us when a much nicer, more intimate table opened up. It made this Valentine dinner perfect.
Valentines Day Dinner
Neighborhood gem. Service was phenomenal, the wait staff was friendly and inviting, food was delicious. Cute little spot at a reasonable pricepoint.
Although the tables are a little close together and the waiters needed to squeeze between chairs to serve the tables the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. You get used to the noise after awhile and settle-in to a very enjoyable experience. And surprisingly, they didn't push you to finish and vacate the table even though there were many people waiting to be seated to eat dinner on a very busy Valentine's Day.
I would enthusiastically recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.
This is one of the best restaurants in New York. The mushroom soup was to die for as was the raw tuna with avacados. The four cheese risotto was also one of the best ever - if not the best. Wines are fairly priced and very good.
Great-all were so nice and food and service great-was our anniversary and gave a lovely table. Thank you Giorgio's-
Fantastic! Such a rare and wonderful place!
The food was outstanding: the lamb shank fell off the bone, wild mushroom pasta was just as good as I’ve had in Italy, the risotto was rich and the bread pudding was a great finish. The only area that was lacking was the service, I think they must have been down a server or something. Had to ask twice for more water and our cups were empty most of the meal, the waiter asked if we wanted cheese and fresh cracked pepper when he brought the food, we said yes and the cheese came after there was about two bites of pasta left and the pepper just never came.
Had eaten here a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. We were in New York for our anniversary so decided to dine here again. The food was excellent but they were very busy. The tables were jammed together to begin with, then they sat two large parties either side of us. My wife could not even get out without asking someone to move. A woman next to us back was so close to our table I was afraid her hair was going to get in our food. It was difficult to hear it was so loud. The manager noticed we were a little put off and picked up a round of drinks. I got the sense they had a bigger crowd then they had staffed for. Our waiter was very pleasant but clearly had too many other large tables and it was noticeable in the service we received. As I said the whole staff was very nice and the management was pitching in to help. Based on the food and the courteous staff I would go back. For this evening however it was a less than perfect anniversary dinner.
Great food and service!
First time & food was amazing! Ambience was ok as space is small and it was packed. We didn’t have the best table and service was mediocre, but not a deal breaker and it was Friday night! Definitely going to give it another go during the week.
Unbelievably noisy. Squeezed into table that was barely accessible. Food was great but entire meal was uncomfortable.
Busy Restaurant Week evening with superb experience. Warmly greeted, great cocktails, great service. Great apps. Great entrees. Great dessert. Just great.
