We had a very pleasant meal. Besides, they have a full cocktail Bar and knew how to make a Manhattan
Without question one of the finest restaurants in Portland. We have been going there for most of the 21 years it has been in the Pearl District. We live in California, and when visiting Portland NEVER fail to visit Georgio's. Best dish: pappardelle with wild boar ragu.
Prices were good for quantity of food.
Very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly service.
Food was good!
Giorgio’s always delivers wonderful food in a quiet environment. It is also very conveniently located, in the heart of the Pearl District, a short walk to spots for after-dinner drinks and entertainment.
Unbelievable food, too bad it was so empty in the restaurant, made the ambiance a little strange
Great food. Welcomed like we were family
The value was not up to the food quality and test. The mean was over spacy and not pleasant.
A delightful Valentine’s Day dining experience! Georgio and his team were very welcoming.
We had a superb meal at Giorgio's last weekend. We all started with the kale Ceaser salad, which consisted of baby kale that must have been massaged until it was tender and covered in very good parmesan cheese and a great Ceaser dressing. I could have eaten three of them
Two of us had the Halibut special. The fish was cooked to perfection, as was the risotto it was served with. Our guest had the scallops, which were also excellent. They were nicely browned but tender and not overcooked on the inside.
We all wanted different wines so we just did wines by the glass. The selections were not numerous, but they were all very good.
We just shared one dessert and it was a very good panna cotta.
We look forward to returning soon.
Delicious food. Sweet environment. Nicest wait staff.
Lovely dinner for two. Our favorite romantic evening. Eating at this restaurant for over 13 years and never a bad meal or experience. Food is fabulous and wait staff attentive and caring. Go! You won’t be disappointed!
The food is delicious at Giorgio. We had a 7pm reservation and, unfortunately the special was already sold out. It was very cold in the restaurant, so we had to keep our coats over our shoulders. Also, it was dark, so candles would have been pretty. We saw others using their phone flashlights to read the menus. So, although the food was delicious, the service was scattered and we were cold 😞
Wonderful restaurant—great food, a varied menu, fun cocktails, and friendly, professional service! Loved the lit Christmas wreaths in the windows, too!
Beautiful and cozy Ristorante with exquisite food and good Italian wines. The pears soaked in wine were phenomenal! Service was top notch too. Will definitely return.
This was our first time in and we had a great experience! We’ve walked by and wondered why they were never busy, and after trying still wondering why they aren’t busier! A hidden gem that we’re glad we found!
Giorgio’s was lovely - food was fabulous and we were received very well
Would definitely recommend and come back again
Food was average and way overpriced because of its quality
My girlfriends and I stopped by here for dinner after a great weekend in Oregon wine country. The food was phenomenal the service was fantastic and the ambience was great. The only downside, and this is a very small downside, was that my food was warm around the edges and cool or almost a little cold in the center. I ate most of it and told the waiter I wasn’t mad. But I did want to let the management know that it was cool in the middle. I would definitely go back to this restaurant but I would double check to make sure the temperature was good.
Quiet escape with killer food. A mainstay in The Pearl That remains under the radar. Love it!
A nice, impromptu night out - good food with excellent service.
I have always Loved this restaurant.
Food is always delicious for a very reasonable price. Knowledgeable staff and Giorgio the owner is wonderful.
Still an overlooked gem in the Pearl after all these years. Wonderful, high qual food.
Although quite busy for Valentine's day the food and service were excellent.
We were extremely disappointed as this was a Valentines Day date, I checked Giorgio’s website to see if there was a special Valentine’s Day menu, and there was nothing posted. Even the menu page on the website showed amazing photos of plates of food, but no menu posted. I elected to assume that they would have the full menu available.
When we showed up we were greeted at the door by who I assume was the owner, and seated at a table which was placed in a position on the floor that wasn’t ordinary to the normal restaurant’s daily operation, thus I wasn’t able to sit across from my wife.
The table wobbled badly and spilled water all over.
The waiter was kinda creepy and weird in his mannerisms.
We had already ordered a glass of wine when my wife looked at the menu and noticed that it WAS in fact a special menu with a price of $75 per plate.
I had budgeted for a typical formal dining that we normally do of around $100 (not including tip), but not $150 plus tip.
As always, great food and great hospitality Giorgio!
Noise level at next table was intolerable though...…………..
One of the most flavorful means we've had in a long time. Giorgio himself oversees service and makes each customer feel most welcomed in his fine restaurant. The Caesar salad, thoughtfully made with butter lettuce rather than romaine, had multiple delightful flavors: so very different from the run-of-the mill Caesar salads. They make all of the their own pasta and it really shows: what a difference! Giorgio's will surely be on our "must" list when we next return to Portland.
We love Giorgios. Excellent cuisine and superbe service. Although the menu did seem a bit limited last time we went, every dish at the table was delicious.
Not the best food or selection. Also, felt it was overpriced.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The food was excellent and the service was great.
The food is outstanding and service is excellent. Georgio's is an oasis in the Pearl that offers quiet. romantic ambience and good food and wine!
Wonderful evening spent at Giorgio’s
Great service, food and ambiance!
Giorgio's has been around the Pearl District for 20 years and remains one of our favorites for creative and well-prepared Northern Italian cuisine. It's a wonderful dining experience.
I hope this place continues to stay open because it is cozy, well located, service is great, and the food is really tasty. The only problem is that its pricey. We spent $150 for 3 and all we had was pasta and salads- no alcohol!
Great food every time we go. Nice quiet atmosphere so it is easy to catch up with friends.
I have to say every time I have the pleasure of eating at Giorgio’s, I am truly amazed. The flavor and quality of each entree is superb. You can’t ask for anything more. The owner is so gracious and I encourage everyone in Portland who wants an amazing dining experience to make a reservation today!
I have eaten at Giorgio's numerous times and each time the quality of the food was outstanding. Most recently I ate the Lamb Osso Buco, a great winter dish. Their pasta dishes are also superb, and I have sampled most of them. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Very good food and quiet, easy place to meet before a play. Would like to see more vegetarian options on the menu, although the chef accommodated our vegetarian friends.
The service from our waitress was great. The food was just okay, mostly underseasoned (specifically the pappardelle was very underwhelming, slightly watered down and was not salted enough). Note that there is a sharing cost per plate. It didn't quite make sense at the time, considering we were two people and had ordered two appetizers and two mains. To keep things simple, we did tell the waitress to forget about sharing. The menu listed on Open Table is not representative of actual menu.
First time here and it was good.... just not great. Meals were pretty good but nothing fancy and service was okay. For the price we probably won't go again.
