It was easy to overlook this address in San Bruno. If you do, it is so worth a trip around the block! This was a wonderful sushi experience in San Bruno and and we look forward to returning.

Very delicious! Loved the tofu and Rainbow Roll #2. The wagyu was very tender. Lovely service and highly recommend.

The food was delicious and very, very fresh. We were there on a Wednesday at noon and it was easy to find parking and not crowded. Had a lovely lunch.

We had the nigiri omakase. The chef was very attentive, explaining each fish and garnish when asked. All the fish was fresh, tender and nicely presented. Big eaters may not find the omakase sufficient.

Had Sunday dinner before a flight from SFO. The sashimi tasting plate was fabulous. We also a few specialty rolls that were also excellent as well. Our server was attentive and provided details on the fish that helped contributed to the learning experience. I would consider trying the omakase next time.

We had just flown in from the East Coast and were looking for something before hitting the hotel. What a home run! Our waitress was great and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend this fine establishment.

Gintei is fabulous. The fish was fresh and delicious- some of the best we’ve ever had. The sushi chefs were kind and interactive with us while we sat at the counter. The service was amazing. Can be pricey, but we don’t regret the splurge at all. Would definitely recommend!
