Our server was good but wasn’t at all polite. And that’s fine just not how I like a restaurant experience.
My daughter first visit for deep dish! It was very good except the crust wasn’t my favorite. Tasted like a cornmeal base. The sauce was yummy as well as all the cheese. The mozzarella sticks were great and I had craft beer like Blue Moon and it was very tasty. They took care of us Great and love the “ Deep as blank” shirts!!
A disappointing visit to one of our favorite pizza places. We ordered a calamari appetizer which was about half calamari and half fried crumbs. The marinara served with it looked and tasted like they scraped the last of it out of a pan. When we asked for more marinara, we were charged .50 for it. When we paid the bill, one of our gift cards didn't work, so they just gave us another gift card and charged the balance on our credit card. The pizza was tasty, but they literally took it out of the oven to our table, so when they served it, it was so hot that the cheese was sliding all over the place. They need to let it cool a couple of minutes before serving it. They put the leftover piece of pizza in a cardboard box which was totally soggy on the bottom when I was carrying it out. Not rushing back to visit Geno's.
So good! Jolly was our server and his recommendations were spot on! This is definitely he best deep dish in Chicago. We will be back the next time we come here.
The Best Deepdish Pizza.
Enjoyed a nice evening for my daughter’s birthday. There is a wait for the pizza but it is baked to order and was delicious!
Brought a friend that had never had deep dish Pizza and was a huge lover of pizza. Gino’s did not disappoint. On a side note the staff here are amazing! We were lost trying to use public transit and without them, their patience and humor...we would still be on the red line. Oh and ask for a pen to write on the graffiti wall! So fun!!!
Perfect Chicago pizza experience!
Gino’s east is a must! Our pizza was absolutely fantastic! Our server brought a piece of yummy chocolate cake at the end of our meal For my husband’s birthday. Jolly gave us great service! What a cool place! We will for sure be back to visit when we are in Chicago!
We were at the restaurant early because we were going to a theater event. The waiter did an excellent job and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food tasted really good, I only wish it had been a little hotter. Otherwise I've got no complaints.
Great time as always pizza is the best in the city
Don’t know why this should be the case as it’s the same recipe but the pizza tasted nowhere near as good as the Gino’s on superior street. We had the deep dish meaty legend. Disappointing when I know just how good it can be.
Oh and despite me watching the receptionist tick my name off on their booking system when we arrived, I was later accused of not turning up for my booking. Hmmmm.
Lunch on New Year's day so the room was very quiet. Great and fun service! Excellent pizza, half special & half spinach. Was a Giordano's fan, but have now converted to Gino's after my second visit.
Great food and a comfortable atmosphere, we had about 6 people around 2pm and there was no wait at the River North location on Sunday.
Left after 20 minutes and no service while place was not busy.
We had fantastic service and really enjoyed the deep dish spinach margarita pizza. Yum.
The food is great here, but its quite expensive. I ordered a small personal pizza and a side salad. The total with tip was about $30. The crust was wonderful and the pizza tasted very good.
The food was delicious our server Jaime was amazing. If we ever come back to Chicago we will definetly be back
We were a large group on a tight schedule and they made happen. Great food and service
A friend from eastern Europe and I split a veggie deep dish pizza and it was delicious. Service and noise level were fine.
I loved this place. Food was amazing!!! But what we really liked was service and our waitress. Alina, a girl from Ukraine!!! She is the best server I have ever had. 5 Stars!
Thanks a lot again!
The pizza and chili were good but the beer was not cold. Can’t decide between Chicago style pizza or Italian beef? They have a pizza with the Italian beef and all the seasonings and peppers and it was bursting with flavors.
The hostess (short, chubby, dark hair) was absolutely rude to me and my partner. After refusing to seat us when there were clearly open tables, she told us that it would be a 30 minute wait (on a Tuesday night). She didn't take our names down at all. She offered us tickets to a comedy show and when we said no thank you she was incredibly rude. Ended up making an open table reservation and was able to be seated in 10 min... not sure why she said it would be 30.
Gino’s East pizza and spinach dip are the best! Why the music was so loud at early lunch and why the waiter seemed like he’d not waited tables before was beyond me we normally have great service there.
Wait staff was over loaded. Pizza was amazing
Very nice. Great food and atmosphere
Chicago´s deep-dish-pizza was a new awesome experiences
Very good!! The pizza was great - sauce fantastic!
Great food and excellent service fantastic brews made in house also at this location
Too expensive. Very poor service. Too loud to visit with our friends
Visiting from out of town, went to Gino's because of reputation. Was disappointed with the experience. The Pizza was OK, we went because it offered Gluten Free Pizza, but needed Dairy Free as well . The server was not well informed on the Gluten Free /Dairy Free option. We found out after we ordered that the gluten free crust was infused with cheese. The only other option on the menu for Gluten and Dairy free was a salad. Disappointing. The rest of the meal was average.
Birthday party for my husband. Great time.
We had the famous deep dish sausage & mushroom pizza. Tomato sauce was a little too sweet. There is sausage in every bite! Best to order pizza well-done so it’s not so runny. Service was awesome. Beer was great! Parking available within a block. I was surprised that the the restaurant was fairly empty. I would definitely eat there again.
My sister was visiting from out of town, and asked for deep dish pizza, as she felt like she would be missing out if she did not have at least one slice. So, we grabbed an early dinner reservation before it got too busy in River North, and had a delicious meal. I knew from the moment that the runner put the pie down that my sister was hapoy. And 2 minutes later when she took her first bite, and her eyes slowly closed and she said, “mmmmmmm....” I knew she was in heaven.
Our server was great, and kept our drinks full, and us laughing with her witty remarks.
Best Deep Dish Pizza, great selection of local brews
Anytime I am within an hr of Chicago - I divert to Rosebuds Steak House & Gino's East !!
In my opinion the best Chicago Deep Dish arpund.
The deep dish pizza is great. I've been to Gino's East previously, so I knew about the pizza, but I this particular location because it is also a Brew Pub and good place to watch sports.
Pizza was awesome as usual, waitress not so good, Pepsi got empty, early evening 4:30pm not that busy, it was great to see family however!
We were looking to have some Chicago-style Pizza. Gino’s East did not disappoint. The tasty in-house beer was a nice surprise.
