Great venue, music and food, only let down by poor service, one error is fine, two no problem but we were let down on several levels and in the end only managed to be served starters. Drink orders were wrong every time and bill was not correct. Amazing place and would recommend, think we just were unlucky with our waitress

I am SO disappointed. I brought 6 friends who were in town from Italy for a special night out (one who's birthday it was) and we couldn't have had worse service. Our waiter was nice, but it was like he had never waited tables before. Water glasses sat empty, our entrees were forgotten after he put the apps order in. We got meatballs we never ordered, the salad dressing wasn't on the side as requested. They tried to make it up to us by bringing over dessert for the birthday girl, but 20 minutes after signing the check we had to go - while we were getting our jackets on the dessert finally showed up. It's just so so sad that a place that could be so amazing falls down so hard on service.

We went hear for the gospel brunch with our 2 kids - wow were we glad we came. The brunch was great - a buffet with some of their classics like fried chicken. The performance was amazing and one my kids won’t forget.

Girlfriend and I had a lovely time at Ginny's. We had a cozy seat right up front an arm's length from the band, which was led by Chris Turner, a very intense, creative musician. The food was amazing too - the fried chicken for two was so tender and had perfectly crisped skin, and the mac and cheese side was to die for. A great date night!

Gospel show was very good, but the buffet was terrible. The only descent dish was the fried chicken. The sausages were hard to even cut through, Mac & greens were so so, meatballs were so so = very disappointing.

6 of us were looking forward to some great Gospel. The singing was fun and loud but the show was less than one hour - about 4 songs. Very kitschey part of singing happy birthday to guests. We knew ahead of time that the food was buffet. We thought there would be some effort to have the food warm and some semblance of the quality that we heard about for the food at Red Rooster. The line was long to get food and 1/3 of the choices were empty so we had to wait for refills instead of sitting enjoying our meal with the rest of our table. I would not recommend spending the money on the Gospel Sunday Brunch. We were ushered in after 12:30 and the music was over by 1:30pm - there was no movement toward refilling the food. Dessert was berries, cream, they had run out of the little parfaits. No offering of coffee so folks would linger.

Gospel brunch was a fun experience. Music was fantastic! Food was just ok, buffet-style, a little overpriced for what we got. Wasn't aware there was a time limit for the table, would have enjoyed to stay longer.

We went to Ginny's supper club during a 4 day trip to NYC for the Sunday brunch. It was our first time in Harlem and it will not be out last! The food was good and the service too. But the highlight was the obviously the gospel brunch. The singer were energetic and so talented! The only thing is that it was only about a 30-40 minutes show. We would've loved a bit longer show! But overall experience was Amazing

The service was terrible. We waited 30 minutes between the apps and entrees and had to chase down servers to find out what was going on. No one refilled our waters. And I ordered shrimp and grits, which only came with 2 shrimp and was served on the same size plate/portion as the shrimp and rice appetizer (which also came with 2 shrimp) - only the appetizer was $18 and the entree was $32 - for the exact same portion! The deviled eggs came with 1.5 eggs for $7! The food was fine - but WAY overpriced and with a side of terrible service. We won't be going back.

Had a really great friday night with my cousin at Ginny's Supper Club. I always love the rooster punch and the cornbread up at the Rooster. This was my first time in a while going down to Ginny's and forgot about the high admission price for the live show and that we would have to basically wrap up our conversation to listen but the fabulous musicians were worth it though. Wouldn't go here for a first date if I needed to get to know the person or have any important conversation. Crowd seemed like older professionals rather than millenials like myself who might not all appreciate the music or be able to afford the menu. Really enjoyed the fried bird and biscuits. The condiments paired well with the food. The greens inside the mac were a pleasant surprise too.

Ginny's is a gem. Located in the same footprint as Red Rooster restaurant just in the lower level, the entrance at the foot of the stairs felt like another world... the ambience is cozy and private at the same time. The hostess was great! Flight delays caused me to miss my reservation and she slid me into a spot with the next show. I was fortunate to be there to see Ben Williams and friends play. The music and ambience was amazing!
OK so the food...delicious. Thick slabs of cornbread that was so delicious and served with honey butter and a tomato compote type thing that elevated it out of the ordinary. The fried yard bird for 2 is a lot of meat...but fresh well seasonsed and made even more delicious with hot honey (peppery red honey). Add to that mac and greens and 2 flaky biscuits and I was too stuffed for desert. I did eye the couple next to us and the desert was fantastic and we'll enjoyed.
