Great for Sunday brunch. Nice soft live music. Used Open Table for reservation and everything was ready and set for us.
We always recommend jenny lane to our friends family or anyone asking about a good restaurant in town. We absolutely love it for lunch or dinner.
We had to wait 30 minutes for a cocktail and then they didn't have any olives for a martini and didn't put the lime in the vodka tonic. One of our guests had to order 2 different food items on menu because they were out of so much stuff. This was on a Sunday afternoon at 5:00. Really out of olives? Felt sorry for the waitress because it was out of her hands and she was having to apoligize for things out of her control. Food was ok nothing special, not much taste. Won't go back or recommend.
We had a group of 8. Service was awesome. Filet mignon melted like butter in our mouths. Love this place.
Ginny Jane's was a very pleasant surprise to my wife and I. We are residents on the island and are absolutely sick of the crappy "tourist" food that is the norm down here from Pensacola to Gulf Shores. Ginny Lanes actually has good quality, decent prices and a good variety of meals. They had a band Saturday night we were there. It was a REALLY pleasant surprise. Thank you Ginny Lane! We'll be regulars.
We had a good time at the restaurant. Casual dining and good food. Probably one of the best waitpersons I have encountered in several months. Sara Should train new employees on how to take care of the customer.
It was a good dinner but far from great. Food and ambiance were OK, service was good and fairly priced.
Didn’t love the pecan chicken.
Grits were good
Smashed Gouda potato’s were good
Great appetizers! Caprese salad was very tasty! The fish sandwich was the best ever! Some of our friends ordered filets and they were prepared perfectly. Salads were crisp and all were satisfied. Our server, Savannah, could not have been better! She was friendly and courteous and handled our group of ten with ease:) Great evening with good food!!
The service was fine. The food was not good. I ordered the fried oysters and my husband ordered the seafood platter. He wanted the Lobster which was the special that evening but after we gave our order, our waitress came back and said there was no Lobster. It hadn't been ordered supposedly. The oysters were way over cooked and tasted like rubber. I could hardly chew them. In my opinion, oysters are supposed to be succulent and these were far from it. The seafood platter was the same, overcooked and no taste my husband said. We paid our bill and left. Will not return.
Was disappointed to hear that our reservation was going to be at the bar, but it turned out fine. We had a small table in the bar. We had a great waitress- CayLee and outstanding food. It was quiet in the bar area and a overall great evening.
Service and food ....excellent! We had a wonderful server. She was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. She was prompt in taking our order, delivering our food, and checking in on us. The food was good and plated nicely. We will definitely return when in the area.
Way better food quality than I expected given that it’s considered a bar/grill. Grouper special was excellent.
Always consistent on quality of food and never disapointed . had the salmon dish with veggies and over rice and was tender, great flavor and preparation
We really enjoyed our Sunday brunch at Ginny Lane. The musicians were wonderful, the service was great, the food was good. We'll be back.
We had a 3:45 New Year’s Eve reservation so it wouldn’t be busy. It was less than 50% full when we arrived. Service was extremely slow (3 hours start to finish) and on New Year’s Eve they were out of several types of beer. The first 2 requests to speak to a manager were ignored. Finally we caught her on the third request. She preceded to tell us how long her days were and then apologized. Never going back!
The service at this restaurant was appalling. Our server was a novice and made a number of mistakes taking the order and delivering the food. Why would a restaurant let such an inexperienced server work? Who knows? The worst SNAFU of the night happened when our server told us that two of our five entrees would not be coming to the table (even though the other three were ready) because "they [presumably the kitchen?] had run out of coconut shrimp." Her suggestion was that three people eat their meals while the other two people order something else and wait for it to be cooked. Even without a whit of restaurant experience the sheer imbecility of this suggestion took our breath away. Needless to say, it's an experience we will NEVER repeat. We will also never recommend this restaurant to anyone (friend or foe!).
Ginny Lane has become one of our favorite places to eat at the coast!! The food is always delicious.
Excellent food & live music. Good prices. Great Sunday lunch!
Sunday brunch with our children and grands. Wonderful music! Pleasant staff. Never disappointed with the food there. Always good.
We come to Ginny Lane at least once a week. We had a bad experience coming on Prime Rib night a week or so ago, but came last Tuesday and was served by Clayton, who did really well. Sunday night was our anniversary, which I listed on the reservation, but no mention of it was made by staff, so i assume listing anything under "Special Occasion" is a waste of time. Our server was Dominique. The food was good, although the breading on my shrimp was a little two salty, but the shrimp were cooked perfectly. Our server led a lot to be desired though. She was completely non-engaging, even to the point of seeming put out by requests, such as asking for water. My wife and I shared a water until she finally came back to the table. It took almost 15 minutes to get our check, after we finally received the to-go box we requested, making us late for the movie we had planned to see. Definitely not the anniversary dinner I had hoped for.
Excellent food and fun atmosphere. They even have a great kids menu with buttered noodles (I think buttered noodles ought to be a requirement on all kids menus!). We had a fairly large group ages 2 - 90 and everyone had a great time and even better meal.
Have been there plenty of times in the past. Yesterday the service was slow and the food took way too long being prepared.
We always look forward to go there for Sunday Brunch when are in town.Hope this is not a bad trend!
We had a party of eight that I had made us reservations online which was simple, they were all set up for us when we got there and the service, food and live music was wonderful.
Quick seating. Sat outside. I believe Chris was our server. Fantastic service. Excellently cooked food. Out date night place
Ate here spur of the moment on a last minute date night. Mainly chose it through open table because the time we wanted was available on a Thurs night (all times were available, actually). Was a little weird, despite this we were grilled as to whether we had a reservation when we arrived, not the friendliest check in, that's for sure. Seemed to be several empty tables in the main area. The food was very good, but the rest of the experience was weird. Waitress took our drink order then took 20 minutes to come back and take the rest of our order. We were in the main area, but it looked like she was serving multiple different areas and spread very thin. In the meantime, another waitress dropped a plate right next to our table. These things happen, but after cleaning it up there was still a big stain of some kind of white sauce that no one seemed to care about. A couple of people slipped in it, but no one fell thankfully. In the meantime, the table next to us was very upset about having their order messed up in various ways. My husband got up to use the restroom which he said was pretty gross. He is not usually one to complain about this. Food came and we both enjoyed, possibly the best $25 filet I've had and my husband liked his steak as well, sides were great. Chocolate lava cake dessert was good too. In the meantime, the table on the other side of us was upset about something to do with their order. Guess we got lucky. Might come back the next time we're in Orange beach, might not. Definitely wouldn't bring the kids, they can't wait that long for food.
Great food. Great service. Price very reasonable
Food was great but service was lacking
My family and I had a great experience! We were seated very promptly at a booth, as requested. Our service was great and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the shrimp and grits. The live music was a great touch. We will definitely be back!
Best shrimp and grits ever! Wait staff was awesome! We had lunch and dinner there during our vacation, we’ll be back!
One of our favorite places to eat!
Good menu and love the outdoor dining atmosphere! Kids and adults enjoyed their food choices!
We made reservations for 7:45 for a group of 6 and were seated very quickly! The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional! I highly recommend.
Has a reservation, so we were seated quickly. Sat a while before anyone helped us. Oyster sampler was good. Entrees okay. Nothing to write home about. Won't be returning on our next beach trip.
Arrived at 6:15, took 1 1/2 to get food then another 1/2 hour to get dessert. Wasn't worth the wait.
Got set in the bar area very very noisy had to ask when the waiter came up we had to ask for our menus then he had to bring silverware and plates when our food came I mashed potatoes were cold we had to keep looking around for him to get the check because he was waiting for other people in the other area bad experience and we've been there before and didn't have an experience that was this bad not sure will be ever be back
We had a lovely evening at Ginny Lane's the other night after a reunion with our son. Danny the manager was sweet to check on us & Jamie our waiter was very attentive. Food was delicious !!
A great dining experience. Brunch was terrific and the Platinum Premier Duo played great music and were really entertaining.
Great restaurant with first-rate service! The Bayou Grouper was amazing! Excellent music by The Bitter End Band.
