Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at this restaurant. The service was very slow, our appetizer was delivered to another table and we never received a replacement, and the fried seafood was mediocre at best.

Waiter was great, however the last two times we have dined the kitchen staff was extremely slow. They definitely need more help in the kitchen.

Vacationing from the Midwest, this restaurant was recommended by the SpringHill suite hotel. The drinks were especially well made.

The food was good but service was awful. There were only two servers who were also responsible for answering phones, seating people, playing food, etc. Lines of people were waiting to be seated and no one even acknowledged them. The two owners of the restaurant stood and watched and did nothing. We saw two different parties of 20 people leave after not even being greeted. I have never seen such nonchalant owners. We asked our server if this was a unique experience and he said unfortunately it was not. Apparently the owners don’t care about their business or employees. We won’t be back.

They were short staffed when we arrived. The hostess was filling in as a waitress. The manager was doing his best to cover the gaps while a second waiter arrived and attempted to get the dining room caughtup on service. The hostess became our waitress and she did a great job at attending to several tables on her own. Food was good but not outstanding.

We were looking forward to a nice steak dinner since we had been there before and were pleased with our meal. All our steaks were over cooked and our waiter forgot about us. We were out of water and tea most of the meal. We had to notify someone that we needed our check. I’m not usually a complainer but this was definitely a disappointment for our special occasion.

My salmon was great! My husband's ribeye had to be replaced as the 1st one tasted like fish. The 2nd ribeye was much better.

Over all meal was great. Steak my wife got was tops, shrimp breading was a little too done, but good. Went back two nights later and enjoyed another good meal.

Dinner was a fiasco and sort of funny. We ordered their baked oysters and they were pathetically overcooked. The oysters themselves were tiny amounting to perhaps half a teaspoon. Flavor was okay you get little for the money. Giving up on seafood, we ordered steaks. My wife's ribeye was remarkably thin but cooked as ordered, medium rare. My strip steak was of decent size but raw. I mean blue raw and cold. It was as if the "chef" removed it from a cooler, brushed it with soy to give it color, seasoned it lightly and sent it out. I ate a little and did not finish it. We didn't have time to send it back. They were served with little twice-baked potatoes. Service was slow and uneven. The fun part of the evening was the musical entertainment. They had a duo that I don't believe had ever played together. They played a total of four songs, hardly recognizable, with long interludes during which they tried to teach each other or arrange songs. I laughed myself silly. The wine list apparently made up of whatever the distributor has on special each week. I had a mediocre Australian blend complete with screwcap. This place doesn't even try.

Definitely not the place to go for steaks. Three out of our party ordered steak and not one had a good experience. Seafood and appetizers were good.

Ninety minutes to get food. Other diners were served and out before we had our food. Server apologized and said that the manager would talk to us. Never did and no real explanation. The manager should be responsible.
We felt like maybe using OpenTable put us on the bad list?
Four of the five meals were good but the special was very poor.
We honestly can’t remember such a poor experience.

Family vacation. We've been here before and were treated well. Our group had a variety of menu items--soup, salad, crab cakes, oysters, steak, shrimp pasta--everything was well prepared, attractively presented, and delicious. Google reviews on this place are mixed, but our experience was terrific. Will be back!

The look of the restaurant is really strange and badly thought out. There was duct tape on our booth! The lights were super bright and had zero ambiance. The food was fair at best. My shrimp was very very salty and my husband’s salmon was over cooked. For 3 of us our bill was over $100. The oysters were good though! And our server was good.

This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. The ambiance is like they put tables and chairs in an Office Depot. The food was awful (Caesar had Italian dressing on it, mashed potatoes were cubes potatoes with a mashed sauce on top, steak was mostly fat, but the edible part was so undercooked it had to be sent back, the bottle of Cabernet we ordered came in a carafe so we never saw the bottle and it was some sort of carbonated red drink that we couldn’t even consider drinking, but definitely not the wine we ordered or paid for). Don’t let the sign and modern surrounding restaurants fool you-there’s a reason why this place will be the only one with available reservations.

Menu had changed from 2017. They removed two favorites. Our waiter was so bad that our evening was ruined. Much too expensive for poor service. Food quality has diminished. It has gone from being a don’t miss to probably won’t go back. Too bad!

Do not let the outside modern sign fool you. Terrible, over priced food. Decor was hideous. We are from Iowa and come to the area for vacation and this is a definite no go again! Our server was very kind, I will give her a plus.

We have been here several times before and food and service was always excellent. The restaurant is now under new management and service was poor and steaks were overcooked. It also took 45 minutes to get our meal. The manager apologized and said they had several large parties and the kitchen couldn't keep up. We live here and will not go back.

Very disappointing. The server was friendly and tried to be helpful—she told us they were understaffed. Drinks, salad and entrees came at the same time, about 45 minutes after ordering. Food was very mediocre. Iced tea not fresh. There is clearly a reason there was no wait.

Food was fair. We had to send 2 steaks back and one still didnt come back right. Managment staff tried to take care of it but it took so long to get the food the firdt time and after the recook. It was a first and last visit for us.

I was completely disappointed with this restaurant. Took us FOREVER to get our food order, and we were told by our server that the wait was over 45 minutes for food, that we got our food faster than that, so we should be happy. NOT good. My steak was unappetizing, it looked like it had been sitting for several minutes, no juice, no nothing, just there. I ordered the Gouda Grits, and the twice baked potato, and both seemed like they had been sitting out for quite some time. The twice baked potato was hard, not fresh at all. I wish I had taken photo's, but I didn't. Not a good experience at all. The ambiance was loud and obnoxious. Some 2 person band was playing very loud, so you had to almost scream at your family to be able to have a conversation. The costs were astronomical. $150 with tip, and it was totally not worth it.

This was the best food we had in a while and it was great! Our server Kyle was exceptional and super polite! The peaches and cream drink was like dessert before dinner! Overall experience was excellent!! Kudos to Kyle our waiter!!!!

The only good thing about our meal was Andrew, our server. All three of us ordered steak and they were under cooked. One person ordered medium and it showed up rare. They recooked it for her and it was so tough she couldn’t eat it. The other member of our party was served a steak that had spoiled. It had to be sent back as well and when her new steak arrived, it was also under cooked. We will not be back.

Previous years we have had well prepared food with good service. This year we were disappointed with the quality of food. It is unfortunate when the bread is one of the best items of your meal.
Three member of our party had a grouper dish. All three were overlooked and the presentation on the plate was not visually appealing. One person had a steak - it was charred unevenly with bitter burn and raw, not medium rare, on the inside.
Two meals were just ok. Out of our group of six, for the price, and quality of food, it was unanimous that we will not return. Disappointing.

Nice atmosphere with a father-daughter singing duo. Spacious between tables which allows for table conversations. Food was great albeit little more pricey for what I got...but still good.
Mel - our waitress - was the best. Very friendly, engaging, patient, and willing to try and satisfy any request or need at her reach.
Tables and seats are coming due in some repair/replacement, but overall it was a very pleasant dinner and evening.

The restaurant appears very clean and nice as it seems to be a fairly new construction. The atmosphere is brightly lit, great for my family but I wouldn’t recommend for a romantic evening. Tonight, live music from a single musician was nice and his voice was pleasant. The sound level was comfortable and allowed for easy table conversation.

The food left something to be desired. As in we had to order pizza when we returned to our condo. My spouse and I both ordered the seafood steamer platter. The peel and eat shrimp were soggy at best, and more of a thick separated slime inside the shell. I can’t decide if they were just left in water forever instead of being cooked to order, or if they were several days old.
The sausage too was undercooked and concerning. The potatoes and corn were decently edible, though not well seasoned. The crab legs were ok, but I’ve had much better for less. The portion of crab in this platter was also small compared to cost. 3 legs on my plate, not even a full claw.

The kids had a burger which was cooked well and my very picky son ate it up quickly so it must have tasted good.
My daughter had the kids shrimp basket with fries. Very edible, but the freezer section at the grocery and a microwave will get you the same quality.

Our server was moderately accommodating and attentive. By far not the worst, but coupled with food quality left me wanting for more.

I was HIGHLY disappointed in this meal and experience. I will not return nor recommend this restaurant to any friends.

The food and service are usually above par but not this latest trip. The menu prices are a little high so we save Gilbey's for special occasions or nights when we want to treat ourselves. This trip the food was not hot, took a long time to get to us and several mistakes were made. The waitress admitted she was new and that the restaurant was understaffed that day. She was sorry for each issue but never offered any recompense for our issues.

The Parmesan oysters were amazing! My husband got the crab pot he said it was on point and I got the filet it was awesome. The kids were starving when we got there and they brought crackers bread oranges and cherries for them. They had live music as well. Overall my favorite place. Very kid friendly
