Overall, Gigi’s has gone down hill. We’ve been going there for years. The service was never anything spectacular, but it was tolerable as the food was good. It wasn’t that busy, but we still waited far too long for service. The food was like warm at best. For the price, it wasn’t worth it. Until they make changes, we won’t be back.

We had no complaints with service or food. Everyone was nice. However charging $20.00 for a Casamigos Tequila and club soda was terrible in our opinion. $40.00 for 2 small drinks. Even at the higher end restaurants they don't charge that much. It felt like a money "grab". Doubtful we'll return.

The braised short ribs were beyond expectation.. the cocktails were professionally made... and Tate, our server, made the evening special. We WILL be returning.

Our party of 6 arrived for brunch at 11:00. When we got there, we were told there was no brunch option. Only the regular menu. We were very disappointed.

Our family went to dinner prior to a PSU graduation the next morning. The decor is beautiful with great lighting and ambience. Had a reservation and we were seated fairly promptly upon arrival. Fun place, good menu selections for all and drink menu. Comfortable seating and attentive waiter rounded out our very good experience. Would highly recommend it and will return when in the area again.

Food was just okay and way overpriced!! Pork chop was $39 and just okay, beef short ribs also $39 and fatty and not good, beer can chicken was tough and too expensive. Overall disappointing !

This was our second time at this restaurant. Both times, service was excellent, atmosphere was fun, but not raucous. The food is interesting. I loved our flight of deviled egg offered under small plates. I had learned my lesson last visit and do not over order, the servings are generous. This time I had the summer tomato salad and a single crab cake. The salad was fresh & excellent. The crab cake was not to my taste, because I prefer just lump crab, but I’m sure it is good for others. My husband had a lovely crab bisque and their beer can chicken. He said the chicken could have been more tender. Other recommendations from our previous visit: gumbo with the crawfish, shrimp & grits and their gazpacho- which is a bit spicy, but very good. Overall, one of the better restaurants in State College and we’ll return.
