Gigi's Restaurant at Ramada Mandarin Ratings and Reviews
The dining room furniture is outdated, the cost of the food was overpriced, cold food sitting in buffet pans under heat lamps.
Frozen food heated up for $40.00.
The best was arriving early and being sat quickly.
Wish there were more food options. Reading the menus the offerings sounded great, looking at the food, was not at all appetizing.
The menu said pan seared Salmon, The only reason we picked the place. The one thing they didn’t have, pan seared Salmon.
OMG all u can eat Crab and prime rib Bar was so awesome and freaking good thought they was going to half to roll me out in a wheel barrel this is a must everything was tasty and hot Crab legs stayed coming was very pleased . the service and staff are amazing . I would like to thank the GM manager jarmei for his outstanding service I will be back
One of my regular stops and picked Gigi's for Father's Day dinner because we had several people with differing food tastes. Gigi's did not disappoint. I will say that if you are not a crab lover, don't go on a night they have crab. At $48 per person, it was a little pricy, but the selection and quality was great. Good food, good service, consistently have a good experience there.
The crab legs were awesome! The seasoning was just right because I don't care for spice. I know the price went up after May 31st (my birthday was actually on the 30th), but I was fixated on having crab legs, so I was not disappointed at all!!!. Our server was cordial and very helpful as well. This was our first time and we appreciated being able to do the "Open Table" reservations and not having to wait for a table. The only suggestion is to have a broiled fish option on the menu and the bar that is not stuffed with crab. My husband is allergic to shellfish, but can eat fish like salmon or cod. Even so...was a very pleasant experience!!!
The food was mediocore and did not meet my expectations. My booth seat was low and I was not level to the table. The server would ask to refill the drinks and never brought them. The waiter tried to push the free mimosas on us and we did not want them. They ran out of desserts and none of the food was labeled. There was a questionable looking casserole and the breakfast food did not have variety. Very disappointed and left hungry.
Have been there on several occasion over the years and I do have to say that I was very disappointed. The food was lukewarm at best, chicken Marsala had no flavor, prime rib was very tough seem that it was more of top round roast. Was differntly not worth 40 bucks, will not be return anytime soon.
The prime rib was chewy, the dinner roles hard as a hockey puck, the shrimp was not rotated and very hard to bite, the clams were over cooked., no chowder or soup and the crab legs sat in water too long. The waitress was great though!! We explained all of this to the owner, after spending 215 dollars and all he had to say was oh, funny, we get rave reviews. He did not bother to comp us a meal or meals, nothing. Its a new chef obviously and maybe a new owner, but the food there last summer was awesome. We will be looking for a new seafood/crab leg buffet.
I made a reservation at Gigi's restaurant for my mother's birthday breakfast. It was unfortunately a disappointing experience. There was no one to check in with, just a staff member who told us to seat ourselves as she walked past us. The breakfast buffet was marginal in its offerings and both the eggs and potatoes were barely warm when fresh from the serving platters. Our table service was almost non-existent. After we received drinks our waitress disappeared. We had to find her to ask for drink refills, we gave up on condiments, and we had to find her again to ask for our bill. I had hoped for much more but am now taking my mother somewhere else next weekend to make up for the bad experience at Gigi's.
I was in town for business and brought my husband along for some quality time. We had dinner at GiGi's before going to the show at the Comedy Zone. Both Gigi's and the Comedy Zone are right there in the lobby of the Ramada. So very convenient to check in, eat a wonderful dinner, see a hilarious comedy show and then complete the evening with a visit to the piano bar.
Friendly staff and pleasant ambience, but lackluster food and questionable cleanliness. Certainly a nice step up from the typical buffet, but it still suffers from several of the typical troubles in buffet dining -- the food was mediocre and the table, plates and utensils weren't thoroughly clean. Lots of potential, but just not quite what I was hoping for.
