Good food, good service, good atmosphere, what more do you want!!!
We loved it. All around terrific restaurant. Wish we had saved room for dessert, which are made in-house.
Great staff, food and Jeff at the bar was amaz-ing!!
Our meal was delicious, and the portions were generous. Our server was excellent and we were seated within seconds of arriving at our reserved time. Will return and will refer friends.
Very good soup that is included and fresh bread with oil and spread. Perhaps it was a bad night in the kitchen but my eggplant parm arrived an hour after I arrived and although the eggplant was hot the pasta and sauce were not. I left.
Food was very good. Service wasn’t as good. The server was very nice but we had to ask her twice to get Parmesan cheese and it took forever to get our bill. She seemed to be more focused on the large party in the back room. Still left a decent tip, but then when I checked my bank account, she gave herself an extra $5! Next time I will use cash.
A very nice and cozy restaurant with good service, great food and a nice ambiance. Very generous portions for a fair price. Definately going back again.
It got too loud with the live music but was great otherwise!
First time at Gigi's and probably my last. Went with a party of 3. Service was painfully slow for less then a dozen tables and 3 wait staff. Took a good 15 min to even get water and longer for drinks. It was well over 30 min before our food order was taken. It was well past an hour before apps came out.
The food was so-so. My wife had the chicken Milanese which the chicken was tender and had good flavor but the pasta was bland. My sister in-law had the steak sandwich and fries which was good. I had the pasta carbonara and it was just terrible. It was swimming in watery liquid. It was covered in parsley, had no cheese flavor, and zero silky feeling you get with carbonara made with eggs, butter, and cheese as listed on the menu. The little bit of pancetta in the dish was soggy and had no taste. Picture/taste salty watery spaghetti with parsley and you have your dish.
The few drinks we had where ok but pricey for what you received. The bread was homemade and decent but both the dipping oil and the olive tapenade where very bland and needed salt and pepper from the table to add flavor. We skipped on desert as we where already there for 2.5 hours just for dinner and had to leave.
Overall I would give the overall food 4/10, service 1/10, and value for the dollar 3/10.
The overall ambiance is nice, music at a decent level, and menu looked good. The scallop dinner wasn't what was expected. They were gritty, seemed to be not completely cooked and the polenta was cool (not hot). The eggplant parm was ok, sauce ok and the spaghetti dinner needed more sauce to cover the pasta.
Tables looked to be getting full when we left but would not recommend. If I had a gift certificate may try again, it could have been an off night for the restaurant.
Nice restaurant, good food and ambiance. Disappointed that a special item was already sold out at 7:00pm. All around nice dining experience.
Excellent food and service. Banana peppers need work.
Would recommend very highly.
Smaller, intimate spot for food and entertainment. Chef Maryanne has created a menu made with love from more traditional Sicilian dishes. She supports the Jazz community with live entertainment fairly often. Her St Josephs table is amazing...not to be missed. A very good wine list, knowlegable and warm staff complete your dining experience.
Always a deliciously prepared meal with friendly and knowledgeable servers. The live music from Just Johanna was wonderful . We’ll definitively be back soon .
Food and service were exceptional....authentic Italian cuisine!! Our waiter John was a delight!! We will definitely be back.... would rather support a local gem, than a restaurant chain!
We really enjoyed our experience. Restaurant was lovely decor and everyone dining seemed to be enjoying being there.
We had a wonderful waitress who was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food is delicious! Portions are very substantial! This place is a perfect place for any night you don’t want to cook. Prices are far. Great wine selection. Can’t wait to return!
Had a wonderful meal there will differently return
We went for restaurant week. None of us (4) had been there before. My husband is from Sicily so we thought it would be worth trying. The special menu was good. We had a choice of appetizer, entree, & dessert door $20.18. Portion sizes were also good. However, we were wondering if the recipes were the same or they changed them to accommodate the special menu. My husband had the pasta Bolognese. It was not traditional. It was more of a chunky tomato sauce with ground meat. He was not satisfied. The rest of us had chicken marsala. It was good. My lemon tart was delicious & the lemoncello was very tasty. The homemade cannoli was filled earlier in the evening because the shell was quite soft. Needless to say, it was not a fabulous dinner. One guest said she'd like to go again to try the regular menu. The waiter was perfect!
Food was excellent - loved the lemon tart!
Waitress not so much- seemed like she just wanted to get us through our dinner and out the door.
Despite this, I would totally go back !
Need to try the pizza 🍕
Soo good!! The food was wonderful. Cozy dinning room. Can't wait to go back
There were more tables than normal due to restaurant week. Tables were sort of close together as sat at one right next to the door so that was a bit annoying. The waitress seemed like she was rushing and wasn’t overly friendly. But she wasn’t horrible. The food was just ok. Wasn’t anything spectacular but wasn’t bad. The lemon tart was excellent! I’d go to the restaurant just for that. It was also weird that we didn’t get bread I’d expect for an Italian restaurant that bread would be served. I really didn’t need to eat bread anyways but I just thought it a weird. I’d recommend going not during restaurant week where they’re not pumping out a ton of meals and there’s a bit more space and not so many tables. Overall I thought the restaurant week deal was good.
Loved it! Food was great, service was excellent, and atmosphere was perfect!
We had good meals at Gigi’s in the past but the cooking has sadly declined. Undercooked risotto in arancini, cardoons were not properly cleaned (strings left in) and batter was super salty. Chicken Marsala was tough and dry, sauce overly sweet, viscous and lacking complexity (good mushrooms though). Both of our wines by the glass were a bit oxidized and corky, could not finish. Service at the bar was friendly and prompt, nice atmosphere, parking tight. I hope Gigi’s steps up their food game!
I think by my star review you can tell how it went .
We went for Restaurant Week and really had a lovely dinner. The Eggplant Parm was delicious and a house favorite. My husband had the Chicken Milanese and it was cooked perfectly. Good homecooking and the service was great. Our waiter John was on his AGame and was one of the best waiters we have had. We would come back again.
We were there for Local Restaurant Week. I understand the menus are limited & that’s all good. I was served egg plant parmigiana with a steak knife- does that even begin to tell you about how hard the slices of egg plant were? They covered it with melted cheese to cover up the over done food. My husbands bolognese sauce barely existed. To make it worse, when we walked out they were carrying a full dish of it past us loaded with the sauce. The lemon tart dessert was amazing! We were there once before & really enjoyed the food. I commented to my husband, if this was the first time there I would never go back. But the first time we had dinner it was very good! I’m going to wait until we go back again. I just wondered if there was more than one chef in the kitchen. I don’t want that person again.
I often come here for dinner as I enjoy their cuisine, but during restaurant week they have great choices for a set price.
The food was very good and authentic Italian. The pours of wine are generous as well and always great dining at Gigi’s.
Both our meals were delicious! The atmosphere was laid back, comfortable - not rushed at all - and intimate. Soft music in the background was great, not at all overpowering. We were able to enjoy quiet conversation as we ate our dinners. Definitely going back!!
We did not know the "Tune Babes" were playing and were concerned about noise level. It was not a problem. We ate, sang, danced! What a great night at Gigis. The manager was extremely accommodating when we had 2 extra people. I thought I had updated the reservation online. I did, but maybe didn't finalize it, idk. Great all around experience. I will go again.
Every time we dine here the food is delicious, the service is good and the food comes out in a timely manner. We’ve never felt rushed.
It was a great evening. We had the best server, Rachael. She knew the menu well and made wonderful suggestions. The food was excellent. We started with a white pizza as an appetizer for the three of us. The pizza was perfect with an ample amount of anchovies. We also enjoyed the Veal Milanese and the Eggplant Parmesan. Dessert was scrumptious, Tiramisu and Flourless Chocolate Cake with coffee.
Our server made a great time even better. We also had nice conversation with the owner.
We went for the music Joe Rozler that was amazing. Nice atmosphere and an appreciative crowd . Took 15 minutes to get a drink so perhaps a hostess to beverage people would help . Food was good , decor nice and super clean . We enjoyed it
The service was just ok. Pasta was very ordinary. Red sauce had no flavor or taste. Very watery.
My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time, amazing food, service and atmosphere
food was average- ambience was good- service was great- 12 dollar glasses of wine cost more than the meal!
A very nice dinner!
the food is really good however the place is dirty, the floors are dirty, the windows were never washed, the cooks are dirty for being there so early, the outside needs grooming.
Just wish it was cleaner, the food is so good. sorry
