Amazing experience will return doon
Outstanding service. Good drinks. I didn’t care for the whitefish (dry) but the steaks were good. Best of all, our entire party had a great time.
Gibson's is a favorite of ours. It is not cheap but the food is excellent as is the service.
Considering all the hype about Gibson’s reputation, we were expecting more. Service was great but the food just okay. It was a weeknight quick meetup so we skipped the pricey steaks and my daughter had crab cakes, I had a filet of Whitefish, and my husband had their burger. Maybe you only go to Gibson’s for a steak because all three of us rated our dishes as “okay but underwhelming.” Also the portions were huge. I’d prefer a lower price point and a sweet potato smaller than a football. One final suggestion: gluten free options! I am gluten intolerant and I was surprised that a restaurant of this caliber had no info available, no GF bread or rolls, and apparently no appetizers for people like me.
Felt a little crowded between tables. Steak was a little overdone on the outside, but still very good.
Excellent, great food!
We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my friends 80th birthday and we will definitely be a good game to celebrate another special birthday
Thank you for 5 stars!!! We hope to see you again soon on your next visit. If I can be of assistance with anything in the future, please do not hesitate to reach out. Warm regards, Jared Brown (847) 928-9900.
Chris, our server, was exceptional!
One of the two or three best steakhouses in the world. Wonderful steaks, cooked to perfection and served with grace and style. Few legendary restaurants can open a branch successfully. Gibson’s in Rosemont looks and feels like the home base on Rush Street. We took friends who were experiencing Gibson’s for the first time. It was everything we promised. Also a great vibe-packed with people who love great food and like to laugh and talk a lot. Servers are the gold standard for hospitality.
Our favorite restaurant in Chicago! Food is wonderful, great large portions. We love the grilled whitefish. The waiters are so attentive. Love it!
I've said it many times before and I'm happy to say it again- Gibson's is the best place for steak in Chicago, period, end!
Always a great meal! Highly recommend Gibson's for a celebratory occasion
As alway we really enjoyed dinner. Service was a little slow tonight and noise level was high, but still worth it.
Outstanding service from Server! Food was delivered to our table hot and was tasty. Warning on cook level...a couple of us ordered our steaks medium-well yet they were delivered to us at best medium (lots of red). You may want to consider ordering your steak a cook-level up.
Our “Gibson” rib eye was totally lacking in any juiciness. Because we were entertains business associates we did not want to complain - but the quality of the steak was not at all @Gibsons”.
The Lake Perch is amazing as are their steaks. Enjoyed both!
Food was amazing. Service was great. A plus in my book.
Are you kidding me?! This is Gibsons - best steaks in ChiTown.
Ugo, our server, was great. We had great meal. Thanks, Ugo.
Awesome as always!
Was a great experience, I celebrated my wife birthday there
Too loud, too crowded, couldn’t even have a dinner conversation with people surrounding us
Our first stop on our annual visit in Rosemont is Gibson’s! The filet melts in your mouth!
Awesome meal and service
We enjoyed dinner with our friend and podcast guest Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson aka Mr. October. After an hour long discussion on our Honest Field Guide podcast about Reggie’s entrepreneurship and legacy, we were ready for a solid meal. First time at Gibson’s and it did not disappoint. My medium rare filet was perfect. My co host ordered a full chicken. Reggie the fish and potatoes. And my gin gimlet was dab smacking good too.
This is our favorite place to eat steak! Absolutely the best! The food, atmosphere and service are
Graciously accommodated our expanded group size on an EXTREMELY busy evening. Vince is “the man”! Edgar’s service was stellar. Excellent food...
The taste has been improved to same level as Goldcoast store.
Great steaks and service with a piece of cake that could have been shared with 6 people not just 3!!!
Highly overrated! Would not go back!
Food was fantastic! Loved every course. Service was prompt, attentive, and knowledgeable. Had an issue with valet but will contact privately.
I love Gibson's in Rosemont! Joe was are waiter yesterday & he was informative & fun. loved it!!
Most definately would recommend Gibsons. We ate there 5 nights in a row and didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. The people who work there are the most friendly staff I have ever encountered and the food is top rate! From Appetizer to incredible dessert the Gibsons experience is one worth repeating. It will definately be my go to anytime I am in Chicago.
Every time I am in Chicago near the Rosemont Convention Center I try to eat at Gibson's, and I have never been disappointed. It completely earns its excellent reputation. The steaks, pork, sides, wine selection, and cocktails are superb. And although it also has a reputation for being very expensive, I would argue the value is well worth it, and there are other less impressive options available for much higher prices.
K was great and the food was enjoyable. See you next year!
The food was outstanding, the service was great but as the restaurant filled up it was loud and crowded trying to follow a maze out to the door.
Outstanding evening with friends! Great service! Great food. Oh and dessert. Omg such a great evening.
My recommendation of Gibson’s in the future will come with a pause. The overall experience was on par with the dining experience I expect at a restaurant of this caliber and price point. The sole disappointment is the slight resulting from either the oversight or unwillingness to recognize an 80th birthday celebration with a complimentary $8.75 dessert when our table of 3 spent over $300 on dinner. It seems petty to charge for the small dessert as either a practice for such a significant event or a lack of attention to detail for our table. A gesture like a modest complimentary dessert is consistent with dining establishments of Gibson’s price point. It is the sort of practice that when not offered is a noticeable foul at the end of a great experience which makes me question why I chose Gibson’s rather than the multitude of equivalent options. It will impact my choice for dining in the future. I provided notice of the Birthday when I made the reservation, confirmed when I arrived, and the staff recognized us with a Birthday chant. It’s not as if the staff was unaware of the birthday celebration.
