The food wasn't to my liking. It was very noisy in the restaurant. The server tried hard to please us anyhow.
I don't like the parking arrangement at Gibsons. Probably will not return.

A 40th Birthday party for my son and his wife. Dinner was great and Rachel kept us all happy. Love that place!

My moms birthday

We had reservations 1+ week in advance & arrived 40 min early (to have a drink at the bar). Yet we were seated at the world’s smallest table that was crammed against a partial wall with one diner sitting in a high traffic path of the waitstaff. The noise level was extremely loud and we knew it was going to be a miserable experience. Therefore before our server even came to say hello we quickly looked on OT to see what other restaurants nearby by had an open reservation for 2 and made a dash.
I can only speak for the bar drinks - husband had a Gibson’s Manhattan - said it was good but they didn’t have the vermouth he likes (Antica). There was live music - piano player and woman singing - so bar had a nice groove to it.

I was disappointed in the seating to be frank and honest. Had reservations, why the long wait?

Connor made the evening very special for us! Ask for Connor, tell him you want the "Marcus Treatment!" You won't be disappointed!

Very busy and very loud. The food was good. The drinks were ok. The service was good. I don’t like that you have to valet because of the way it’s set up but I do like to valet. Overall I would recommend it but it’s too loud for me. I couldn’t hear the performance.

This was our first time at Gibson's...So I can only speak on the one experience...Food was phenomenal...Calamari was some of the most tender I've had...right up there with places I've eaten in Jamaica and the Keys...Surf and turf specialty was just that "SPECIAL"...great clam chowder...portions are perfect size...you won't leave hungry!!!...It was a little on the loud side for our anniversary but that happens when you have a great product ...service was stupendous, friendly, and educated about their profession...prices are right up there with a Ruths Chris or a Gallagher's ...highly recommended if you've never been!!!

Gibsons is my go to restaurant when having lunch with business associates or friends. The service is always great and treated nicely. The menu has many options to choose from that will satisfy everyone. Known for there steaks, you cant miss. Sandwiches and salads are also very good. I am a fan of Gibson's.

Food was delicious but service was awful! It took 15 minutes before our waitress came over, other waiters/waitress asked couple times if we had been helped after sitting for so long. The customers next to our table shared their dessert because we waited so long before our order was taken. After the waitress finally came over to take our order, she proceeded to talk to guest in a long conversation that she was NOT waiting on about a movie. She mixed our order and everyone in the restaurant apologized more than she did. Again, food was delicious and service is usually excellent, but not this time......I would definitely come back but if assigned to her, I would request to be moved to a different section.

Went on a recommendation from a friend and it was nothing short of spectacular. Portions are HUGE. The deserts redefine the word huge too.

Everything about this restaurant is the best, my wife and I go here for any special occasion or just because it’s that good!

The service was excellent, the food was okay but a bit more expensive than I thought it was worth... with the exception of their desserts which are big enough to share and quiet delicious. Would recommend for the quality of service alone.

Dinner was great. We had 7:00pm reservations but didn’t get seated 7:30pm. Management graciously offered to comp our appetizer. Delicious.

Reservation allowed us immediate seating. Service was spectacular: perfect attention to detail and pacing, never obtrusive, excellent suggestions and they knew all the ins and outs of the whole menu, including cocktails. Food was perfect, steaks were prepared to the correct temperature ordered, sides were plentiful and tasty, the crab bisque soup (included with dinner) was a meal unto itself. Valet parking was convenient, noise level not extreme, comfortable large booth seating. Upstairs bathrooms are the only negative for folks who may be mobility challenged (there may be an elevator...didn't look for one). As good as higher end places in downtown Chicago at a much more reasonable price and no parking fees!

Great service but very pricey compared to other similar steak places I have been. A bit too open for my liking with tables close together creating more noise. Our waiter, Trevor, was outstanding and the food was delicious.

We came for my Mother’s 70th Birthday & it was such a nice experience! The cake that came to our table was insane!!! So big & amazing!! We’ll definitely be back!

Frequent diner at Gibsons. Steak was cold. Unacceptable at these prices.

The prime rib was cooked exactly as we ordered. The sides are much too big for 2 people. They are for 4 people. Wish they had smaller sides.

THE FOOD WAS GOOD BUT OUR STEAK WAS WELL DONE. WE ASKED FOR MEDIUM RARE BUT AS THE STEAK SEATS ON YOUR PLATE IT COOKS MORE.

good steaks but pricey. Prepared perfectly. Had house salad and no entrees. Desserts are enormous. One piece of cake will feed the whole table and likely the table next to you. Had the chocolate hazelnut cake which was actually quite disappointing, kind of dry. Brought it home but ended up throwing it away. Overall its ok, but didn't WOW me. If you go skip dessert

We had dinner on Easter Sunday. The restaurant was what I expected from Gibson's! Last year we had a dinner buffet there and was very, very disappointed. The food was not Gibson quality! Service was ok this time. Not the best. A little pushy for me.

Asked for steaks medium well. The filet Mignon and sirloin were both charred and were more well done than medium well.

Food, service, ambiance was super. Celebrated a few birthdays in our party and the server came out with this complimentary birthday cake with ice cream. Everything was delicious!

We loved it.. Prime Riv was awesome, drinks were perfect. We will be back.

What can I say, always a good experience!
