service ambience and hospitality were outstanding. Would highly recommend for business meetings or a special occasion.
Five stars all around and would gladly return!
The Dover Sole was awesome! Service was great and the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded nor noisy which was great for a 1:1 business meeting (over lunch). I’ve been here before and would definitely go back again!
We had our holiday party here on Saturday in the wine cellar (we were 14 people). It was wonderful! The staff was super patient with us and our chaotic group with people arriving over 1.5 hours to join the dinner. From the bottom of my heart, I can't thank Giardino D'Oro enough - it was a wonderful dinner and we couldn't have had such a lovely holiday celebration without their help. Sorry we kept you there later than you would have liked! The food was delicious and the wine cellar was beautiful.
Great service, food, and atmosphere. We'll definitely return. 👍
We were a bit disappointed with the food and service. For the value, we expected great Italian food and ordered a number of different items, instead got so-so flavored dishes without much to rave about... As for the service, it was not at all at par with the rating of this restaurant - slow to get menus, slow to place orders and very slow in catching the waiter to get the check...
At best okay, caesar okay, $29 for Alfredo (cream & pasta), tasted great. Bread was stale, pasta were not fresh homemade...
Dinner was fantastic! Food was 5 star and so was the service. Small and cozy dining room.
This place is PHENOMENAL!! The food is AMAZING! I’ve been dining here for a couple of years now, and have never been disappointed. Valentino is a GEM! He goes out of his way to make sure you are happy!
Professional and excellent
Excellent experience overall. Food was outstanding and service great.
This was an Italian restaurant. Very overpriced their are better
restaurants in NYC with excellent food good service and nice dining
for less of an expense. Also the food was nothing great and we will
I live in the neighborhood and have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time because it looked cute from the street. I would peer inside every time I walked by. I decided to take my mom to dinner to celebrate her birthday. We both had the same dishes. The buratta it self was not bad, but the tomato was very cold and tasteless. The shrimp were bland and the sauce was terrible.
The service is exceptional but sadly the food is underwhelming and very expensive.
Excellent food. Good service.
The food was great. The service was good considering the Wall Street lunch rush.
Specials and drinks are over-priced during lunch. Go somewhere else.
A business partner of my husband's came into town from Atlanta and he was thrilled plus I have been there before and loved the food. He was extremely impressed and said that I chose a good spot. I'm so glad we came for dinner
Business lunch with an important client: everything was perfect. The staff was courteous and attentive. The food was outstanding!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner as the Rack of Lamb special served over spinach with fresh mushrooms was outstanding in all regards - taste, cooking temperature & presentation. The pasta dishes were incredibly fresh and equally as exciting to my dinner partners. A great wine list but no Antinori Tignanello that I could find. Great service, but felt as if the food came out of the kitchen a bit quick as we were finished within an hour +. The Tiramisu for desert is a must. Would strongly recommend and we plan to visit again on another trip to NYC.
As always Giardino D'Oro never disappoints. The food is consistently of the highest quality, the service always attentive but not intrusive.
The food here was amazing. The Cavatelli bolognese special was delicious, enjoyed our drinks and desserts too. Will definitely go back again.
Wonderful dinner! The veal Marsala was very authentic.
Great food and great staff. Valentino was the best.
Extremely friendly and efficient service. The food was also very good and tasty.
Amazing service. Wonderful food.
Wonderful Experience. So glad we dined at this restaurant. I have been to Manhattan many times and this restaurant is on the TOP of my list. FABULOUS!
Always amazing from food to service, not cheap but definitely worth it!
Branzino was the best I've had in a long time! I enjoyed receiving the complementary cheese and meat plate that was presented once you sat down. Nice touch!
Good food, good service, nice place to dine with colleagues and friends. Music is nice but they need to update their playlist - Frank Sinatra is great but it would be nice to hear something different.
Awesome restaurant . Food was perfect and so was service. I will definitely go back soon.
We had out of town guests visiting and this restaurant is walking distance from our apartment. We had a delightful dinner and everyone enjoyed the relaxing environment. Food is amazing! Highly recommend the lobster ravioli and the veal Marsala.
Good service, food is lacking on many many fronts, a bit too expensive for what it gives. Not really worthwhile.
Lovely attentive staff, nice ambiance but I cannot give high marks because the entrees are expensive compared to other Italian restaurants in the area who serve the same dishes. This was a pricey business lunch of which I don't have a real budget but when it's submitted, I myself would raise an eyebrow. Word to the wise, when ordering off the menu, ask the price. A lunch entree with shrimp, pasta and broccoli rabe should never cost almost $50!!! Disappointed by the colleague who recommended this place.
The food taste and presentation were both very good
Was looking for an upscale restaurant for a quiet evening and couldn't have made a better choice. Beautiful ambiance and impeccable service. Menu items for every taste. We were allowed to enjoy a leisurely dinner and will gladly return.
Food - Excellent! Service - Excellent ! Head waiter James was " On Point" from start to finish with a party of 12. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Giardino D'Oro is expensive , but the food lives up to the price. The service was ok, and the decor was non-existent (maybe the Christmas decorations were just taken down). Go for the food, good for a business meal, just don't go for the view.
First time visit as we celebrated our wedding anniversary on a Thursday evening. Upscale Italian dining, but without pretentious attitudes. Perfect establishment for a romantic and relatively quiet (nice background music) evening. Meal started out with a bread basket which included cheese, olives, salami and peppers. Only disappointment was that no olive oil or butter was served. Not sure if this was routine, or they simply neglected to include it.
Everything else about the meal was very good, including the cheese cake we ordered for dessert. Our waiter even included an after dinner drink, at no cost. Nice touch!
Definitely recommend Giardino D'Oro if spending time in the Financial District or South Street Seaport area.
We waited a while to try this traditional Italian restaurant in the Financial District and finally made it over there for New Years Eve dinner. It was low key, which is what we desired, with a few balloons and hats to borrow for a photo. The wine list leaned toward high end wines from France and Italy, with some good California choices as well. Not a bad bottle on the list but it could use a few more moderately priced, good wines. The service was very attentive and the food was well prepared and delicious. We plan to return to Giardino D'Oro.
Our waiter Benny was terrific. Cannot wait to come back.
