Tried this restaurant and was very pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, the food delicious and the prices reasonable. Will definitely be back.
Came for family dinner. Food was good (but not great) with very friendly and prompt service. Potions are large so be ready to share or come very hungry
Only downside was that they don’t serve the brick oven pizza on Saturday night and kids were looking forward to ordering that
As always, food and service were exceptional!
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our time here. There was live music and great ambience. My dad always says you can't eat ambiance, and he's right. But the food was delicious. Everything came out wonderful and steaming hot. The mussels were delicious and came in a perfect red sauce. The burrata was perfect and the Caesar salad was fresh both lettuce wise and the cheese on top. Even the croutons were good -- and I'm not a fan of them. The rigatoni I had with eggplant an ricotta came out steaming and the oven roasted eggplant was so tender. My boyfriend had no complaints about the Pasta Fantasia. He enjoyed the shrimp. He's not one for pasta but he pretty much ate all of it. The dessert was delicious. The best part was that we weren't rushed - our meal wasn't rushed- and we were welcomed to stay as long as we liked. Genaro, the manager I assume, is very friendly and we're excited to see him when we go back.
We have been here a number of times and had great experiences, unfortunately not so great on this visit. I am hoping that this was just a one time deal, and am willing to give it another try- chalking it up to maybe just an off day -which sadly, we were the recipients of.
Excellent dinner and service consistently high quality food and service
Fantastic! The wait staff was extremely kind and courteous from the second we walked in. The pasta was some of the best pasta I've ever had in my life, and they had live music playing the whole time. The place was a really quaint and perfect place for a date night. I would highly recommend this to anyone 10x over.
Dinner at Giardinos this past Saturday night there were 4 of us and it was our first time dining here we all loved our entrees! I ordered the chicken cacciatore and it was probably the best I've ever had the service was on the ball and the prices were very reasonable the only negatives were the valet across the street was a pain in the pouring rain and the restaurant was very hot and uncomfortable inside but other than that we had a great meal
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT....................WE HAVE BEEN DINNING FOR YEARS..............ITS ALWAY BEEN OUTSTANDING
Great food and great service
Haven’t been here fo years as it is not in my neighborhood, but wish it was. Had Chicken Scarpiaello Huge portion, great tasting and very reasonably priced. Baked flames were also terrific.
It was my boyfriend’s birthday and he loves the lasagna here! Overall we had a great experience, the meals are a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for :)
Good time Saturday night with friends....completely enjoyed this restaurant.
Excellent food, large portions, fair prices, super service staff. Decor a bit tired, but forgivable. Great neighborhood asset.
Very attentive host and staff. Food was great and not super expensive . A few things that was a little off was one of the waitresses kept coming to ask if we were done with the menus before we ordered because it seemed they didn’t have enough to give out .. and second that when you walk in there is a desk there but no host.. if someone didn’t tell us as they were leaving that you needed to go down the hall into the restaurant to be seated we would have just waited there. Very awkward set up and not very welcoming when you come in .
Excellent food excellent service can't ask for much more then that
Food was delicious. Portions were more than generous and service was excellent.
Food was very good.
Food as always was great.vinny our waiter is very professional and friendly.
Generally good food. A little noisy with multiple parties usually going on the weekend. Service is inconsistent from visit to visit.
This is my husband and my "go to " Italian restaurant. Food is always delicious and the service is excellent. We've also had several parties over the years. I always receive compliments from my guests. Two weeks ago my husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary and did a vow renewal . The staff couldn't have been more attentive and as always the food was great!
Great food, great service and always friendly. This is my favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant
The wait staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was plentiful and delicious!
Food and service was excellent!
Great place and love the food and service.
Great food, great service
My only complaint is portion size I can eat a lot and still brought food home. Portions way to large. No room for dessert. And best Expresso I've had in a long time I mean really really the best.
I've attended business meetings here, but this was my first time enjoying the main restaurant area. Everything was delicious! Chicken Francese meatballs, calamari, penne a la vodka, striped bass & chicken scarpariello. Dessert was a cannoli sundae! Instead of wine, we had the Pina Colada Sangria.... OMG! Gennaro answered any questions we had with ease. Can't wait for my next visit!
We celebrated my husband's birthday @ Giardino's. It was fabulous. Outstanding service, great atmosphere and great food. We have dined here quite a few times and we are never disappointed. A phenomenal experience!
We first came to Giardino's about 25 years ago when it was known as the cheap pasta joint. Since those good old days, we've been back many times for brunches, birthday parties and just everyday dining and Giardino's answers the call for all those occasions. Good food, beautiful decor with skylights that make for a sun-shiny fun place to eat.
My family is a regular and the services has always been better than most. Smaller than average menu. Great Octopus and fire oven Pizzas. Lovely Tuscan style décor and very comfortable seating.
Its a neighborhood location that deserves more promotion. Free parking and easy to get to on Northern Blvd.
Nice neighborhood restaurant if you are looking for great food and service at a reasonable price.
Had high hopes for this restaurant, but was very disappointed with my visit. I understand the day we went is a busy day but my goodness the service was absolutely terrible, we even saw a couple get up and leave because of the extremely slow service. It took us close a hr and a half to get our food, and when it did come it wasn't anything special but we were so hungry we didn't care. Our waiter didn't check up on us once and took him 15 minutes just to bring a soda, we asked for a dessert menu and he took so long to bring it we just asked someone else for our check. Saw the Russo on the bay affiliation and expected a much better experience but was wrong. The only plus for the night was that it's a nice looking place inside.
The place is very nice. The service was horrendous (Vinnie), it took me 45 Minutes to get the check from our waiter Vinnie. The food is just ok & overpriced. I wouldn't go back again.
Old-school Queens Italian, reliably and consistently good typical Italian fare. We love 1/2 price wine bottle Wednesdays! Mom and cousin had linguine with clams and red sauce, very good. I had the veal saltimboca, very good. We share the Portuguese octopus appetizer, very good, and finished with the lava cake and creme brulee, both good too.
The restaurant has good Italian food with great energy. Good for family dinners or with groups. The service was outstanding and the waiters were very polite and attentive to the little requests that were made.
The service was excellent as usual and extremely professional. The food was delicious and the portions were a very nice size. We were treated with great respect and it was a very pleasurable dining experience.
Food is always delicious. My friend and I are never rushed--plenty of time to catch up!
Service was superb. We asked to move as a vent was a bit to I much for one of our party and our request was graciously accepted. I'd mentioned we had a birthday at our table and the staff surprised us with a sparkler in a dessert! A truly memorable experience for our 75 year young guest of honor.
The tiramisu was delicious. The shrimp parmigiana was nicely prepared as well. However, the chicken rollatini was slightly dry however and no perceptible raisins unfortunately.
One of our "go-to" spots for the family. My favorite dishes are the octopus and the sungilli, either fra diablo, or marinara. They have a delicious thin crust pizza, which I recommend should be ordered to share with the table.
Their house wines are well picked and the service doesn't get much better in the area. My wife and kid loved the Tuscany feel as you enter the premises, and the valet parking across the street is a big plus.
Finally, they make a great Manhattan and the prices are very reasonable. I will continue to patronize this lovely gem in the area.
