If only the service was as delightful as the ambiance and food. Our waitress was not very attentive.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Our waiter Chris was fantastic and the restaurant covered our dessert! We will definitely be visiting again.
Excellent service and food. Queen was the best and we loved being in our own private room.
food was sub standard, came out cold,
I know its hard at this time but should shut down till they can meet the old standards.
Was one of my favorites i hope they get it back.
Excellent food and service! Private rooms allow for safer indoor dining
The service was top notch. I had the Delta Delight for dessert and it is one of the best desserts I have had in my life.
The food was fabulous. We had onion ring appetizer, they were out of oysters,. For dinner we had filet and chicken parmigiana. Caesar salad and wedge salad were great. Only complaint was the Chocalote Creme Brûlée was more like a fudge pie.
Always enjoy visiting Giardina’s. Service is wonderful. Food is good and atmosphere is unique.
It appeared that the restaurant may have been a little full because service was a bit slower than the last time I was there. Otherwise, everything was excellent -- services, food, ambient. Thanks for a wonderful birthday celebration.
Had a great time the food was great. Enjoyed the Catfish Cakes and the scallops.
Giardina's is a must if you're travels take you to Greenwood, Mississippi. If you're really lucky, Miss Queen will be your waitress!
This was our first visit to The Alluvian and Giardina's. We were celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary and I emailed the restaurant for a special dessert request. They honored my request and helped me execute a great surprise for my husband. Excellent customer service and food! Will definitely visit again!
Everything was perfect! I love the pompano and the wedge!
Food was overly salty but overall a great place for birthdays, anniversary’s or any special occasion
The food was average at best. The oysters were dry and rubbery.
Everything was way too salty. Eggplant in the eggplant parmesan was not fully cooked and too chewy. The tomato sauce in the dish seemed out of a can.
The waitress was delightful though and the booths had a very private feel.
We could her the wait staff in the back where we were seating. They were not using very good language as they talked to each other.
The food was very good.
I had a filet that was cooked as I ordered and tasted great. Wife’s entre’ salad was great. Service was really good and we had a great meal.
Restaurant is fantastic food and ambiance. Unfortunately there was a very loud obnoxious table around us and wasn’t taken care of by the staff.
Loved atmosphere. Good & service terrific!
My husband and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary at Giardina’s and it was absolutely amazing! Our sever was super sweet and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was also amazing. I had the Filet cooked medium rare and it was PERFECT! The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were great. We also had the bread pudding and the Delight desserts. Honestly, the desserts were nothing special but they were not bad by no means! I am a baker so desserts are my thing! Ha! Overall, we will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place for any occasion!
Everything was awesome as always
My husband’s favorite steak anywhere near North MS! Wonderful atmosphere and service. However, the steaks we’ve gotten in the past at this restaurant have been much better than recently. Again, usually great and an overall good experience, but the quality of the ribeye changed for the worse. I wouldn’t totally blame any particular person; it could be supply chain complications or Covid-19- induced.
Good was amazing and they accommodated my food allergies without any issue!
Historic use of enclosed booths for dining made it a perfect setting for eating out in a Covid world! Creative and delicious food. Excellent service.
We were courteous enough to call and let them know that we were going to be a little late for our 7pm reservation; arrived around 7:15pm...Finally left at 8:15 after sitting there with absolutely NO ONE coming to check on us; did not even have a glass of water! Even after pressing the call button TWICE. Then to have the hostess tell us thank you as we were walking out really made me laugh. What an experience. SMH I can’t say what the food taste like because we were NEVER served. After traveling almost 2hrs for this supposedly fine dining experience we were greatly disappointed.
Shared appetizer of crawfish dip and calamari. These were very tasty. Wedge salad was very good. Then it went downhill from there. Baked potato and crab cakes were cold. The catfish was mushy. The server was very nice but management was another story. They did do right by not charging us for the unsatisfying dishes. On the other hand, the couple that dined with us enjoyed a correctly cooked ribeye and hot baked potato! Not sure we would go back but did love the separate dining booths for privacy.
My most favorite Restaurant in Mississippi, love it
The entire evening and, of course, the meal was just wonderful!!! Such a hidden gem in Greenwood, MS. Our ribeye and shrimp scampi were delicious. We enjoyed dinner in one of their private booths. It made for such a quaint, cozy atmosphere. We will certainly be back to visit again!
Staff was great!!! Drinks very good!!!! Food was very good!!!
The food and service were pure perfection! The seating is setup with private, individual "cubical" style (for lack of a better word/term) even before COVID-19 which made it feel extremely safe to be out during this challenging time! My besties and I created our own "family style" menu to be able to try a little of everything. I highly recommend the spaghetti/meatballs or the ribeye! We tried all the desserts and the fan favorite was definitely the chocolate creme brulee. Our server was so fun (and patient considering we were bit of a rowdy bunch, lol)! She checked on us often, let us have fun and most importantly, our drinks never went dry! I'm so sad I can't recall her name because she absolutely deserves credit and a shout out for making our experience as fabulous as it was!! Giardina's gets five stars all the way for sure and we hope to be able to visit again soon!!
Delicious filets , salads , onion rings and battered fries. Our server was named Queen and was above reproach in service and personality.
Would highly recommend!
Wonderful 41st anniversary.
The server was amazing. The only reason for not receiving five stars was because of the attitude of the female working the hostess stand with the red cloth face covering. We will not be returning to the restaurant because of the experience with this specific hostess. Food quality was average to slightly above average. Location was average, hopefully they can paint/clean the white partition walls between each booth and PLEASE clean or even better replace the dirty floor.
Very nice atmosphere. Especially for this time of social distancing. Food good. Bar is excellent. Bartenders very knowledgeable and friendly, really a great place to enjoy an adult beverage!
Good romantic place to eat. Very historic and relaxed.
Great place. Good service, quiet, great for special occasions. Friendly
Amazing restaurant. Great food and environment. I will definitely come again.
Firstly covid19 precautions: most employees wore masks. We we were escorted to small room with table and chairs and a curtain across the entry. However the next night there was a wedding party in main dining room. 50+ customers were elbow to elbow. Lots of social. Not much distance nor any masks. Our appetizer was pretty good, but food went downhill from there. Fish was overcooked. Chocolate creme brulee was more like chocolate pudding than custard. There was hardly any "brulee". My bride had simlar reaction to her meal. Bar drinks were ok.
Food was not good. Oyster Rockefeller were watery and my red fish was broiled dry. Just not a good meal.
Great food and service, ask for Queen as your server, she is Great!
You can’t beat this place! Fabulous!
Loved the quiet, secluded dining rooms. Get very well taken care of. Great friendly staff and fast service. Think I had bad luck with fish not fully cooked but bread pudding dessert made up for it. They made the situation right with regards to the raw fish. So I’d go back
