Gianni's Ratings and Reviews
I booked over 6 weeks in advance and asked for seating by the pool. We arrived and were promptly seated as far away as possible. The building is amazing so any seat is ok but it was an anniversary. We know what good service is. Our server couldn’t pour wine without spilling and did not know the menu. The food was very good quality however I ordered the Spanish octopus and found the playing left a bit to be desired . And everything was very salty. I’m told afterwards that it’s very popular to have lots of salt on the food here. Good quality but salty. Be warned. I recommend mainly to see the building. Amazing detail in all opulence.
Our server was extremely inattentive. Half of our orders were incorrect. For example, I ordered a Kosher ribeye and got a New York Strip. My salad came out after my main course because he forgot. My friend ordered a side that came out after she finished her meal because he forgot and it was the incorrect one. The ambiance is nice, so at least nothing could have gone wrong with that.
Wonderful atmosphere, great food. Beautiful salad. Wonderful pasta dish. Only complaint was the small portion of one entree. The gnocchi with lobster and crab sauce was barely an appetizer size. At the cost of $35 there should have been more than 5 gnocchi.
Gianni’s went above and beyond my expectations! Not only are you dining in the luxury of the late infamous Versace’s Mansion but everything was exceptional from the appetizers, food, drinks and service. Fast and professional service, prices were decent and food was delicious! If you’re looking for a quiet yet luxury place to eat in Miami this is your spot!
Only complaint would be hostess are not all that friendly and waiter forgot my husbands side but I would still highly recommend this restaurant.
excellent food (some will argue over-priced) however consider the venue, location, food quality...
(I made a reservation), the staff contacted me the day of, confirmed and gave me opportunity to adjust if needed. I delayed reservation 1/2hr.
excellent service from valet, hostesses, wait staff, Manager...
as a singer I've worked at the mansion doing private events but hadn't eaten there yet- (they don't know me so my experience wasnt enhanced due to an 'in' with anyone. It waa genuinely a good experience and consistency is key so I will definitely return.
I came here with my mother on a short trip to Miami. I was concerned that Gianni’s would be a tourist trap and a let down in the food and service departments, but I was not disappointed! The ambiance can’t be beat and we also had amazing food and service. Roberto G. took amazing care of us and even helped us procure a heat lamp when it got chilly. Overall a very special night.
Prices were too high for what was served. The meat and fish ordered were good ($59 & $44 respectively) but all sides were extra. Ambiance was unique, with several choices of dining setting, but just go to the bar for a drink and walk around.
Asked server if there was a gluten free option for the bread, and answer was an immediate “no, sorry”. Sliced tomatoes? “No, sorry”.
Only two or three bottles under $100. Drinks were between $20 and $30 each. Even for its location, overall the pricing was not worth it.
The place is simply to die for. The ambiance,
The food, the service. Everything was incredible. I’m so glad we did the drive from Key Largo. Our server Robert G was awesome how he described the food and he was right on. Gave us some Versace history too. It’s expensive but totally worth every penny. Highly recommend it.
Simply incredible!!! Started with a drink at the bar with amazing service from their 2 bartenders Juan and Meghan. Once we got our table the view was breathtaking. Our waiter Alan took care of us from start to finish. Every dish we ordered was not only delicious but presented with such precision. Once dinner was over we went back to the bar where Marc introduced himself and treated us like rockstars untill the minute we left. This place is definitely a must visit. A+++++
The setting is magnificent plus, absolutely gorgeous. And the service is very attentive, and thoughtful. However, the food was good, but below the standard of a top restaurant especially at their super-high price points. I would recommend the venue to impress on the visuals and the high prices.
This was more than an amazing night out for dinner. The service, food and ambiance was epcexptional. We even got a little history of the place thanks to our gracious server Israel. Please go if you haven't and I'll definitely be back soon!!
Style over substance. If you want to see inside the former Versace Mansion then book a table but don’t expect to be blown away by the culinary experience. Ordered a medium Filet Mignon but it was well done. Any semblance of ambience was ruined by a small child screaming the place down and by ignorant guests FaceTiming at their table. There are many other places to eat in the locale that have a better atmosphere, food and value for money.
