Extremely disappointing – Beautiful setting, terrible service. This is my third and definitely last visit to Gianni’s at The Former Versace Mansion. I’ve only returned because tourists insist on seeing the place, but the service continues to be unacceptable. •First visit (Feb 14): I prepaid a Valentine’s menu, and they brought us whatever was “left” — not what we ordered. It was chaotic, unorganized, and disrespectful. •Second visit (friend’s birthday): We had a confirmed reservation, yet they seated us whenever they felt like it, completely disregarding the scheduled time and our request for a special table. •Today (June 5): I came to celebrate my mother’s birthday, who traveled from another country specifically to visit this restaurant. I made the reservation well in advance and requested a special table — instead, we were thrown into a side room. When I politely raised my concern, the manager bluntly said that “good tables are for people who spend $24,000 on the hotel rooms.” Absolutely unacceptable. I decided to stay just not to ruin the moment for my mom. We placed a surprise order — every single dish came out wrong, and they brought everything at once with no pacing or care. Desserts were nothing like the ones described. I ordered a “mango sorbet” and what arrived was an unrecognizable mess (see photo). This place is a complete tourist trap. Beautiful to look at, yes, but everything else is a disaster — from the host to the waiters to the manager. Zero regard for hospitality. If you’re thinking of coming here, take a photo outside and move on. Celebrating such an important day in a place with such low standards and false advertising is deeply disappointing.

They were a couple of issues at this restaurant. First one is when I got my meal. I ordered spaghetti, I found an eyelash sitting on one of the noodles. It was replaced, but with with no apology. Second issue The waiter mentioned a lunch special never told us that it was an up charge of $18. It was difficult to understand him when he spoke. We were never offered cheese for our spaghetti. Dessert was great; sorbet.

We each ordered from the 3 course lunch menu. The food and service was excellent! We were seated outdoors near the pool. Beautiful dining area. Highly recommended. The 24K golden margarita was great too!

Our sever was pleasant but not knowledgeable. For the venue and price point we expected better, especially in Miami. Our last experience was not like this one. I should have known something was off when we were asked to confirm our reservation 3 times on 3 separate occasions - including 20min before the resy, despite all the confirmations. We already explained this was for my daughter’s graduation dinner. Note that the first interaction started with an email that had a different party size (5vs 9), when I called concerned and to verify our booking details, I got attitude from the woman on the phone who didn’t understand why I was calling if it was clearly a typo. The attention to detail and hospitality just wasn’t there. Server couldn’t explain the difference between 2 Sauvignon Blancs, and there are only 2 on the menu by glass. Seriously. When discussing meat temperature and chef’s recommendation, the response was “whatever you like”. Obviously, but not the question, and some cuts vary ever so slightly. Lamb chops came out dry and overcooked for medium rare. Chilean seabass had an underwhelming flavor and presentation. The broccoli mashed potatoes were bland, but the potatoes with the lamb were quite flavorful, likely cooked in lard, but heavily salted. The Truffle gnocchi was a hit with the kids. The Casio Pepe was pitched as an impressive table side presentation- unseen & followed by a small portion of spaghetti dropped on a plate. You see more at the cheesy places on espanola way. Flavor was bland. Same goes for the artichoke app, no seasoning & 2 very plain flatted pieces on a plate with no garnish, burnt grill taste, overall presentation and flavors were not there. The oysters were delicious. If you’re going for pictures & to say you’ve been there, ok. If you’re hoping to experience a little presentation or flavor, this is not the place. We’re locals and will rethink the extent of our dinner and drinks the next time we take visitors in town to Gianni’s.

Everything was wonderful — the ambiance, the food, and the service were all excellent. The only downside was the parking, which cost $50. That felt quite overpriced compared to the overall experience.

This will be my first bad review for a restaurant. I came here to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday and was appalled by the service. The waitress seemed bothered for having to wait on us when we weren't even demanding or rude. It felt like we were being rushed even though I dropped over $400 for a fine dining, unique experience. The artichoke appetizer wasn't seasoned enough and the steak was okay. Definitely not worth the price. I did capture amazing photos as the views are impressive. Honestly, the views were the only impressive aspect of the night. Versace would be fuming if he were alive.

The Worst Dining Experience of My Life — Do Not Celebrate Anything Here We came to the Versace Mansion with high hopes to celebrate two meaningful milestones: my birthday and my nephew’s graduation. Sadly, what was meant to be a luxurious and joyful lunch turned into a complete disaster from start to finish. We arrived early for our 3:30 PM reservation, only to find no one at the valet stand. We stood in the rain for over 10 minutes, calling the restaurant for help. Their response? “The valet is a third-party service,” with zero effort to assist. This set the tone for what was to come. Once inside, instead of a warm welcome, we were rushed to our table and told the kitchen was “about to close.” Why accept 3:30 reservations if you can’t properly serve guests? The entire lunch felt rushed, like we were an inconvenience, not guests there to celebrate. Our server did his best under pressure, but it was clear he, too, was rushed. My sister’s steak, ordered well-done, came out medium. When we pointed this out, we were told nothing could be done since the kitchen had closed. A discount was offered—but we didn’t come for a discount. We came for a meaningful experience. What truly ruined it was the manager, Max. His attitude was cold, defensive, and dismissive. Rather than offering a sincere apology, he kept repeating, “That’s why we gave you a discount,” showing no empathy or accountability. There was no hospitality, no professionalism, and no care for our experience. A beautiful venue means nothing if guests are treated like a burden. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially for a special occasion. Take your celebration—and your money—somewhere that actually values its guests.

Went for lunch and the food was just not at all the only thing that was good was the drinks we ordered other than that I would definitely not come back for the food just for the drinks.
