Always a great experience!

The food is very good but pricey. The wine menu has a lot of interesting choices. The spun salad is delicious for an appetizer. Steaks are great. Pork chop was little tough. Mashed potatoes were dry and nothing special. Corn and bacon - delicious. Bread basket is $5 which seems a little over the top.

Waiter was great, food was fantastic and wonderful wine selection.

The best part of our evening was our waiter, Matt, I think his name was. By far the best waiter we’ve ever had at Gianni’s.
Something that was of concern was the flimsy plastic hanging on chains from the ceiling between the booths. We’ve been to many restaurants since June & have never seen those moveable pieces of plastic that didn’t even touch the top of the booth.
Food was fine, but $45 for pot roast?
Not worth the risk at this time.

Great lobster, steak, and sides. Overall it’s an expensive night out, but you get what you pay for.

With the pandemic what could better than outdoor dining on a beautiful late summer evening. The view and weather no complaints. Seated promptly, we ordered a bottle of wine from a huge wine list, with fairly huge prices, though some mark ups were not outrageous. A second person appeared about 10 minutes later with the wine list asking me to thumb through it again to find the wine I had ordered. We then ordered. Two of us had "French Onion Soup" and the consensus was that we have had better out of a can. One of our party had a large green salad and was pleased. My wife, basically a vegetarian but not averse to fish was delighted to hear the specials were scallops or halibut over risotto and on asking the server for her recommendation halibut was suggested and accepted. The server recommended a side dish, the house specialty, a hash brown potato pie that easily would serve four. We ordered the side dish and three of us had the tenderloin steak sandwich.

The main courses came. Well three steak sandwiches came and were distributed by several persons without regard to whether they were ordered medium rare, or however. The beautiful potato pie came as well. My wife asked where's my halibut? The waitress said "but you didn't order anything". There were three witnesses at the table who heard my wife accept her recommendation. A rush job corrected the problem. The food: the steak sandwiches were modest but fine. About 10 minutes later the halibut came. The bed of risotto was OK, the fish dried out and rubbery, and incidentally priced the same as a very good steak on their menu. The waitress never mentioned the pricing of the "evening specials". She was a pretty good sales person though, convincing us to get a potato pie. A good wait person would have reminded us instead that the steak sandwiches came with french fried potatoes and hash browns and risotto are a bad combination, and to order the hash browns another time.

Poor service outside. Many mistakes by staff on food orders brought to wrong tables. No staff approached us until we said something after 20 minutes seated. The prices have gone up substantially. We ordered fish and shrimp. They were 32$ and 40$. Came alacarte. No sides got that price. Ridiculous.

Probably the best steak I've ever had

It was a birthday celebration at a restaurant we have heard of but never been to. We assumed they would be following COVID rules and restrictions and became quite uncomfortable when we walked in the door. Every table was seated in the restaurant, cleaned when people left to be seated again. We thought it would be 50% full and maybe intervals between tables. Needless to say a high price bill to eat as quickly as possible so we could leave the restaurant. Not a fun celebration to say the least.

Great food, service and atmosphere - can always depend on this!

We were celebrating recovery often surgery after. We couldn’t have picked a better spot. We love sitting outside at Giannis, and the staff we wonderful seating us at a great table with a chair that met my needs. The drinks, food and service were outstanding. Betsy Is a fantastic server! We couldn’t have had a better experience.

Gianni's offers flawless execution of classic steakhouse food, cocktails and service. Their seafood is excellent as well. Their ice cream drinks make for a super dessert.

Fantastic meal. The steaks rival anything available in downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul. Our server Larry was excellent.

My favorite place!

We ate here last Summer and it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in the Twin Cities. Tonight, not so much. Our waiter was distracted and inattentive. He basically gave us an “oh ya, we’ve got a couple of specials” only after we asked. When we asked about the oysters, he didn’t give us any info as to their origin, he simply asked “how many?” Only after we had eaten most of them, and I asked did he consult his “notes” to tell us they were blue points even though we did initially have to order East or West coast. I ordered the most expensive steak on the menu, a 16 oz American Waygu delmonico. It came to the table barely seared, over seasoned, and just plain flabby. Hardly worth the $80 price tag. Gosh, we were so excited to eat there again after our first experience. So SO disappointed this time around. $500 with tip for a significantly subpar meal .... really?

Great food!

Great food but the service was either very attentive or not at all.

Safe and delicious!

Steak houses in general are overpriced so we were not shocked by the prices. We were shocked when the server did not know which cut of meat the delmonico was. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and free bananas foster because it was our anniversary.

It took 3 tries to get my steak cooked to medium. . The first attempt for my steak it came out rare. Then the second time, knowing about the temperature issue, she barely stayed around to drop off the steak, I feel she should have waited to see if it was correct the second time. It wasn't. This time it was medium rare. The server seemed to be scared to be at our table. This caused my party to think she didn't care about service. Third time, the steak all cut up due to checked temperature by me actually came out medium. The manager gave my a free dessert to make up for the problems.

Best bartenders and staff! Food was outstanding.

Gianni’s is a first class restaurant with exceptional food, very friendly wait staff and classy decor.

Awesome food! Sat at the bar and the bartender was fantastic!
