My boyfriend took me here for our Valentines dinner (we went the day after valentines) and we were not disappointed. The place itself is breathtaking and the service was excellent! We had a 10:15 PM reservation and we were seated quickly and had a table right next to the pool! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was spectacular and so was the wine. I definitely recommend this place!
The setting is second to none. The service is non-existent. The food is meh. Absolutely worth going once for the venue.
Beautiful place to eat but prices are to high for the food options they have on the menu
Lunch... you pay for the ambiance. Beautiful lunch. Enjoyed it very much. Food was good $29 for 3 courses. Could get better food for an upcharge. All in all. Wouldn’t go again for lunch, maybe dinner.
The food was yummy! And it felt homie not like a restaurant. I loved that is not too packed too. Is perfect
Celebrating our 2 year anniversary, super excited to go and try the food at Giannis. Atmosphere was beyond great. The only negative comment was the service. Our waiter took his time thru the entire meal, making it quite annoying. Service charge was $53 which I felt wasn’t deserved due to the poor service. When we asked for a picture after check was paid he said to give him 7-10min as he couldn’t at the time. The great atmosphere and amazing food overcompensated the bad service.
Beautiful setting for Valentines
Very expensive but you know that going in
Service! All was ok up until dessert
Ordered dessert and coffee ..dessert showed
No coffee..asked passing waited for coffee..”so sorry, be right back”
Finished dessert ..still no coffee ...
Winter never retuned ..could not get the check
Had to go to main desk to ask for check and let them know coffee
No showed 10 minutes to get bill while stood there ..
Went back to table ..20 minutes after dessert was finished and we were leaving coffee showed
Unacceptable..at that point place was 3/4 empty then they throw on a 23% service charge
It was amazing and to be honest the prices for food wise isn't too expensive compared to the other restaurants on Ocean Drive where they try to lure you in. The food was exceptional and service was outstanding.
Very good experience. Small portions which is expected but very delicious. Nonetheless, I wish the menu had more options they should really consider updating It
Beautiful romantic mansion serving disappointing and overpriced food. Basically this explains everything. I visited Gianni's with my girlfriend on Valentine's Day. The mansion itself is a one whole amazing piece of art with original Versace interiors. Internal courtyard with fountain and the dining area with the pool are stunning and worth visiting. Unfortunately apart from the building itself there is nothing really there to impress. Being big foodies we both expected the food to match the chic ambiance. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The food was pretty mediocre and clearly overpriced. The salmon (which is usually hard to ruin) was totally tasteless, dry and not seasoned. Oysters and raviolis were ok, but just ok. Although I must admit that the wine selection was pretty decent, with good Bordeaux and Rioja samples. So will I come here again - probably not. But even if I do - clearly not because of the local food. However we weren't totally disappointed as we took plenty of great photos of this romantic place, so from that perspective it was worth it.
Food was fantastic especially the branzino! Server was very attentive but was quick to point out that the gratuity amount which was on the bill was going to be split between the entire wait staff and would not go all to her so it made you feel like you had to tip on top of the 22% gratuity which they automatically placed on the bill. Overall it was a great experience.
Its a definite must do!!! Romantic isn't even the word. Amazing.
Great lunch, wonderful venue
very enjoyable even in the rain with a canopy top !
I didn’t know what to expect I walked in just to get food, I walked out with an experience of something tasteful, exclusive, quaint, and elegant. I would like a tour of the entire place. The food if good, it isn’t as expensive as you may think, and the place dosent scream “VERSACE”
Excellent venue and service , dinner delicious - have the Maine lobster cocktail!
Be prepared to wait over an hour after your reservation time for mediocre food. You're paying for ambiance, that's all.
Muy lindo todo, con la reserva hecha nos hicieron esperar 45 minutos, parece que es habitual te dicen para que pases por el bar y también puedas sacar fotos??
Overpriced but we knew that going in. Steak wasn’t very good quality for the money. Salmon was tasty. Servers were nice and very attentive. Great ambiance with strolling saxophone player. I don’t think I’d return, but am glad we got to try it,
Nice time, little bit of a wait food as ok. Waitress very nice polite. You are not rushed! Its more of eating at Versaces seeing part of the in side.
We had a great experience. The food was really good and the ambiance was incredible plus we got a few visits from Donatella the cat. Perfect night. Weather was great
Just great! Outstanding place with deliciously fresh and tasty food. A pity the valet tried to withhold the change....
Me presente en el horario de mi reserva y me dijeron que ya habia cerrado la cocina. Una Falta de respeto!!!! Y despues me mandan un mail diciendome que no me habia presentado. Son un desastre
Food and price is ok. You need to take your time, it took more than 1 hour to get our table after the time of the reservation...
The worst dining experience I have had. Inept server. Food was horrible.
That said, the restaurant is beautiful to look at.
The experience was underwhelming. The restaurant is visually stunning. But the service was only mediocre at best. We had a reservation and still waited 45 minutes for the table. After being seated we waited a full 20 minutes before we could even order a drink. At the end it took over 20 minutes to get the bill and I had to ask twice. The servers were generally absent. I would not go here again.
If you want to step inside and see Versace's mansion, come in, grab a drink at the bar near the atrium and wander a bit. If you want a decent dining experience, there are dozens of other quality restaurants located in Miami that will be far better value and a lot less frustrating. Had a reservation for 7:00 p.m. (on a Monday) and was told our table wasn't ready and that we should wait 15-20 minutes. After wandering around the property, we returned and was told it would be an additional 25-30 minutes and that there were 4 groups in front of us. We were then told that everyone had a reservation, and then that no one had a reservation. The hostesses are rude, inexperienced, and have no idea how to manage the flow of restaurants (or tell time). After demanding to talk to a manager, we waited another 10 minutes, before finally tracking him down ourselves. He was hardly apologetic, listened to our complaints and then promptly sat us in the garden (which happened to have four open tables from what we could see...). Waited another 15 minutes to be greeted by our waitress. Was provided complimentary cheap glasses of Prosecco. Food was flavorless, unimaginative, improperly cooked, and far over priced. Was charged a mandatory 22% "service charge" that made us laugh. What service? Don't waste your time or money. Highly recommend Michaelinna's for a quality Italian meal, or literally any of the classic selections further north on South Beach for a quality meal.
Excellent experience! Need to try this place - so worth it!
Overall it was an interesting experience ambiance was amazing but we didn't appreciate having to wait outside instead of being ushered to the bar area where we were initially were supposed to be we had to insist to go inside. reservations were made for 9:15 we were seated at 9:45. No one came to take a drink order while we were waiting. When we finally got seated and eventually had our order taken 2 things happened they ran out of the fish we wanted and they ran out of bread and we were served Pita. Our expectation as for an exclusive place like that we've expected much more. We were disappointed, but as mentioned it was an interesting experience because of the history of the place.
Overall it was ok. Had a reservation at 9:15 and didn’t get seated until 10:15. The food was ok. Didn’t know they had a sushi bar also until we got there. I would of liked to have tried that but apparently it’s very hard to get a reservation. I will give it another try
Best manager Caspar !
Brovo you made our night delicious .
Thank you will be back
My friends and fiancé were on vacation in Miami for a long weekend with every intention surrounding dinner at the Versace Mansion. Truly one of the best dinners I have ever had. The grounds were absolutely breathtaking, the staff was very attentive and friendly, the food is spectacular, and the grounds have a beautiful feeling of peace though it being right on one of the most busiest streets in the world. I recommend everyone to take time to make plans to come here if ever you are in Miami because it will be the most memorable experience ever. 🙏🏼
Totally overrated. Food was horrible. Server was horrible. Wait time for table and food was horrible. Other than the awesome pictures, ambiance, and the name. The place sucked. My 10 year old daughter could’ve cooked better tasting food.
Takes an hour to get a table from the scheduled reservation time. Food is OK nothing special.
Reservation ran 40 minutes late and the staff said that this is how any restaurant operates. On a Sunday night no less. It is a pretty neat location, but the food is overpriced for what it is and the service was quite slow.
Great location and atmosphere
This place is wonderful Service was impeccable. The food was out of this world .We can’t wait to go back
Very quaint location. I would request a table by the pool next time. Expensive for what you get!
Disappointed in the limited view of the home. Wasn’t expecting a tour, but very limited view of the mansion.
