Amazing meal, great food in an incredible setting
Buena comida , muy caro pero los postres riquisimos
Should go for the experience, but not for the food and the service. The waiters communicate with you like robots. Zero hospitality. Food took forever and wasn’t worth the wait. We tried to order wine and they were out of our 4–5 of our first choices!!!!
It's a strange place beautiful in it's own right you can't deny the ambiance but that's it. The cocktails were ridiculous in price and not very good, the food was mediocre at best. A tourist trap and that's fine if they are going for that. So many great places to eat in Miami unfortunately this isn't one of them. Not worth a second visit.
The food and service are great, but you must visit this place for the setting. It is such a beautiful building - unlike any restaurant I have every seen before.
Had a reservation for 8 o’clock, after arriving we were told we could sit in the main foyer/courtyard which was full of people waiting to eat and people just walking in to take pictures or we could wait another 45 min to eat in the main dining area which is the outside but covered garden area. E Waited. Then It rained during dinner and the roof leaked and everyone was getting soaked. Not a very good or smart setup.
Need a reservation! We were seated promptly at a pool side table! Atmosphere is gorgeous! Service was attentive and food came out nice and hot! Chocolate mousse was a work of art and delicious with the chocolate cake bottem! Never felt rushed. Truly a unique dining experience
Poor service. Hours of waiting before being seated. Cheese not available for cheeseburger... though someone else got it. Had to walk away. Incredibly rude staff.
Would never recommend to anyone. Terrible experience and wish we had never gone there.
I had lunch with my 12 year old son and 15 year old daughter. We were on vacation from Boston. We loved it!
The food and ambience was great. Great service and the scenery was everything
I never feel the need to write bad reviews but when a place has so much attention and significance, my experience shouldn’t have been as bad as it was. If you choose to visit this place and dine there, make sure you throw ALL EXPECTATIONS OUT THE WINDOW before you walk in. I was seated in the “main lobby” of the hotel (NOT the main dining area by the pool) and surrounded by instagrammers and flashes all night, like a place this “bougie” doesn’t have a “no flash photography” rule where people are dining? We asked to be seated by the main dining area due to our displeasement, and they refused and said it was full, however when we looked plenty of tables were open. Hostesses were airheads and rude as hell. Service was so trash they forgot our drinks and bread basket, and brought out the entree first before all of that. We had to ask for a bread basket and he sighed as if it was too big of a favor. Salmon was cooked mushy, truffle gnocchi was great, drinks were good once they came out. Overall, they clearly just wanted to profit off of this mansion and it isn’t done tastefully by any means. Not a luxury experience. Not luxury service. Food was sub par, I’ve had better at cheaper restaurants in the middle of no where. The mansion itself was beautiful; come here for the architecture, for pictures, or a hotel stay and skip the restaurant. So disappointed by how distasteful this place and definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve had in so long lol.
Waitress sucked. They all are guaranteed 22% tip so they seat you and forget about you. Serving sizes sucked too. Sweet mansion though.
Poor service and very bad food. Beautiful building but does not justify the ridiculous expense.
First time here and my last. Food was mediocre at best It’s a tourist trap atmosphere with unfriendly hostess
Don’t appreciate cats walking around the tables rubbing against my legs
Highly allergic to cats !
Gianni Versace is long gone from the building
Adding 22% tip to the bill was unexpected, however the service was probably the best part.
Most important do not valet your car
$50 fee ?? Not realistic as there is plenty of street parking near bye
Plenty of better more exciting places in Miami to visit
We made a reservation at 2:00pm and showed up on time. They told us the table wasn't ready and directed us to the bar. We ordered a drink and waited around for thirty minutes. No one updated us on the table or apologized for the wait. I finally went back up to the front to get a status and the lady ignored me and walked off. I asked another lady who told me the table wasn't ready. Still no apology. We finally got sat a few minutes later and ordered our appetizer, entree, and dessert at once because we had plans we didn't want to miss after. The entrees took another full hour to come out. We had continuously ask for a status. No one cared that it was an inconvenience. Our salmon came out and it was horribly (and visibly) overcooked. Our waitress asked if we wanted another one but we had been there almost 3 hours at this point so we said no. Of course in South Beach tip is already included so they have no incentive to have good service but this place was just outrageous. The view of the pool was nice but they wouldn't allow to take pictures because of the guests privacy. Overall, not a good experience.
Took us 2 1/2 hours for lunch. Service extremely slow and you even get attitude from the hostesses. Tough to believe such a nice setting becomes an awful experience.
Very enjoyable experience with good food and unforgettable atmosphere.
place is very nice off course , and Lunch was very good at $29 per person however didn’t anticipate they charge 22% service charge apart from the taxes and the waiter said non of it goes to him practically asking me to leave more tip on top of the 22% !!
love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes.
Hermoso lugar, muy bien arreglado. Uno viaja en el tiempo cuando está allá
Amazing experience with my son. We loved this special dinner.
It was a wonderful experience in a historic romantic villa that we will always treasure.
Definitely a part of fashion history. The Versace Mansion is a beautiful work of art. Pre-fixe lunch. Paying for the ambience. The food was good, not outstanding. Delicious wine and quiet.
Great birthday dinner
Overall, the service is sadly horrible. From the unbelievably rude valet named Javier to the long wait at checkin. We were also gusts at the hotel in the most expensive suite, The Villa. It’s a small boutique hotels. There was no one to greet us when we showed up on time for our dinner reservation. We sat down 40 minutes late and the restaurant was still empty. Once we sat down it took 20 minutes to get water. The wine we wanted was out of stock. The meal we wanted was out of stock. The waiter was very nice. Just slow. I think the kitchen is very slow. There are no modifications to your meal, so not a place for special dietary requests. I requested the most romantic table by the pool and we were put in the corner as far away as possible next to the live music, so we could barely talk. The absolute beauty of this special property is being ruined by kids of Miami who have no clue how to run a hotel or restaurant. So sad. Overall I didn’t give such bad scores because I truly enjoyed the location and we made the best of it. Breakfast is included in the room. Breakfast same thing. No one to greet or serve is for 45 minutes. Worst eggs Benedict I ever had. No flavor. Please don’t run this beautiful location into the ground and keep it clean. Hotel Victor you should sell to Marriott.
This place is absolutely amazing. The food is a little overpriced and not the best in the world but you are paying for the experience. Be prepared to wait past your reservation time to get to a table but you can wait in a beautiful area with a fountain so can you really complain? Definitely one of the most unique dining experiences I have ever had.
We went here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The place itself, is fabulous and there was a nice atmosphere. It’s expensive and the food is only average, decide if it’s worth the spend to see inside.
Loved this beautiful restaurant - the food was wonderful and the house is simply gorgeous. The only detractor was the service, which really could have been better (it was very slow) given the quality of the overall experience.
We arrived on time for our reservations and our entire party was there. We were asked this by the hostess and she told us we needed to wait . We waited quite a while when others were coming in and being seated. Finally, a member of our party asked when we were going to be seated and we were told she didn’t know she just seated the people...didn’t know who was to be seated. We asked the hostess and she said the entire party needed to be present. We stated we were and she said oh!....for a place that is as elegant and expensive, there needs to be training for the people dealing with guests.
We were seated near the pool as requested and it was beautiful. Our waiter came after a short wait and was prompt at first but then the time between courses became longer and required a question as to where our waiter was.
The food was very good! We asked for a Pinot Grigio but they were out and offered another white. It was good.
We had squash blossoms and lobster for appetizers. They were unique and tasted good. For main course we had the halibut special with clams, the salmon, the sea bass, and nocchi. The were all good. We asked for a dessert menu and requested two items. The chocolate item was brought but another item we didn’t ask for was brought. We ate it and it was good but not what we ordered.
Overall, it was a good experience and one we all wanted to experience.
For the price point and the notoriety of the venue, I would have thought the training for the staff would have been top notch.
It is definitely a one time event and I am glad I did it!
It was my first time in Miami so i just had to check the The Mansion. Out waiter was training so service was slow. We Had To Wait On Everything Extra Long time for our water our food and our bill. the food was amazing and very flavorful great atmosphere very quite and pleasant. We where outside so it was a bit hot but i would definitely recommend this place and i will definitely it again in the future.
Very nice meal but slow service
Great experience for lunch. The prix fixe menu for lunch is good value, as you get 3 courses. We took the first reservation available for lunch (12:15pm) and the restaurant had plenty of seating available. We were lucky enough to sit in the balcony in front of the pool. Though it was very warm outside, the table was shaded and view of the pool was perfect. Servers Valentina and Gabby provided outstanding service, as well as the host. Great way to end a visit to Miami!
A must experience with exceptional ambience.
The restaurant is spectacular. the food excellent. the patrons not what I was expecting. .
Simply perfect, me and my wife had the best time . The food was unbelievable, and it didnt even feel as if we were on ocean drive.
Very disrespectful service from the hostesses, they had us wait for over an our and would get annoyed everytime we asked for an update. I thought that’s what they are there for rather than having an attitude and chit chat amongst them... very disappointing.
Food and ambiance was nice although too pricy, but you know you never get a second chance to make a good first impression and the first impression was very poor!
To see the mansion and how and what made Versace the great designer he was, was a great experience but the food and the standards of the restaurant including the China etc are not brilliant and up to Versace standards and I felt that that demoted the Versace name.
Gianni’s was simply beautiful. Excellent service with little wait. I celebrated my birthday here and I will definitely be coming back soon!
Exceptional venue for a special occasion. Great service, welcoming atmosphere. Great food and executive chef walks the room to check on client satisfaction. We go to South Beach once or twice a year...first time at Gianni's. Exceptional.
I read reviews prior to dining and was expecting a mediocre experience however my husband and I really wanted to experience the mansion. We were pleasantly surprised by a perfect experience. We ordered from the $29.99 menu. We loved the Cesar’s salad. I had delectable sea bass and my husband loved the burger. The wait staff were very accommodating and took some photos for us. Our request to sit outside by the pool was also honored. We will definitely spread the word and will also return next year!!! P.S. the portions were very generous!!
