We have treated ourselves to Gian Franco for our Anniversary and my wife's birthday for the past 3 years. We look forward to it every year and are never disappointed. Such good food and we end up taking home so much because the portions are amazing!
As always, we love Gianfranco! Friendly, delicious, knowledgeable and they make your visit feel very special, like you are family. The Don Carlo wine is a favorite of my husbands and he seriously enjoys his glass with his Lasagna. One of these days I will get him to try something else but as he says, he can't imagine anything better. The shank is amazing, one must definitely try it and the Gorgonzola mushrooms, magnificent! thanks for keeping it intimate and special.
Birthday they are a special restaurant love them
Just like the reviews say the food is delicious and the service is friendly and warm. And with gluten free pasta, pizza and even bread we were delighted
Excellent Italian food!!! Cozy atmosphere, tasty food!
I'm always surprised though when nicer Italian restaurants don't make their own pasta. They said their gnocchi was made in-house, but nothing else. It seems to me that's why you go out to eat. Something handmade, something special.
What a cute little restaurant and the food was good too.
Went out of their way to accommodate someone with special dietary needs and created an amazing dish to go along with everyone else's absolutely delicious meals.
Excellent service and the food I was phenomenal thank you very much
My husband and I visited Gianfranco's for the first time to celebrate our 39th anniversary. We arrived promptly at 4:30 for our reservations and were seated right away. When I first entered the restaurant I was slightly taken aback at how small it was, and there was a table for 6 right at the entrance, between the door and the hostess area. Our table was right next to the curtain that entered the kitchen. Our food was delivered in a fairly reasonable time. We had both ordered the Linguini Contadina and even though it was flavored and seasoned well it could have had more chicken, zuchinni and mushrooms, and the sauce could have been a little thicker. At one point while eating I could smell either prawns or shrimp being cooked in the kitchen. I detest both of those and it somewhat ruined my meal. Prices seemed a little steep with the exception of the appetizer. With that said I was pleasantly surprised that one of our desserts was complimentary due to our anniversary. This was very much appreciate. Overall I will not visit this restaurant again and will not recommend it to friends or family.
My wife and I went for Valentines Day and it was a great choice, food and service was exceptional.
Great Valentine's day choice. Food was excellent, service quick, great night overall.
Everything was delicious.
This was our first time here and it was delicious! Service was great, good wine and they have Cannoli's on the menu! I prefer Cannolli's without chocolate but they were still delicious and made with Ricotta not whip cream which is a huge plus. My only comment is the servings were too large. I ordered Lasagna and probably had enough leftovers for 2-3 additional meals. My partner had a huge portion too! Some may find that as a bonus!
Excellent cozy place and we will certainly return.
Always amazing and perfect!!!! Will be back soon. Chef Joe is the best. Everyone who works there is kind and like family.
We always love dining here! The food is always delicious and the service is wonderful!
This is a charming, intimate restaurant. The hostess/owner, LeeAnne, is personable, pleasantly gregarious, and remembers your name too. The food is scrumptious, generously portioned, very competitive to any fine Italian restaurant, and such a surprise for a smallish restaurant in homey Snoqualmie. You feel like you must be in a little village in Italy!
Private, small, intimate, wonderful food and wonderful wait staff
This is a great family owned place. The owner/chef does a great job with the menu and the servers are very friendly and efficient. Save room for the tiramisu.
Absolutely excellent! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They pour a generous glass of wine and the meal servings will not make you leave the place hungry. The meals we had were very, very good. They have the BEST spumoni too! This was our second visit, and it definitely will not be our last.
Excellent food, service and all the employees are so friendly. Great value for the price.
We had high hopes for this restaurant. At any good Italian restaurant, the bread is an instrumental part of the meal. The bread here was cold and stale. We later heard from a friend that she hasn't returned for this exact reason. In addition, the Chicken Gorgonzola wasn't even a full breast--it was cut length-wise, and there was a lot of gristle on it. The prices were outrageous for what you received in return, which was nothing more than poor quality American Italian food.
We waited 30 min for a table with a reservation because it is a small restaurant and the couple would not leave. However the manager came over, gave us free wine and appetizer and apologized for everything. She was very friendly and it was not her fault. After learning it was my birthday she gave us a couple of free desserts. Everything was delicious and would go again. Just need to make sure I get dropped off while the husband parks since it’s first come first serve with reservations.
Carissa our server was fabulous and the food was really good. Plan in advance as
this is a very small restaurant with a great following. I will definitely return
The chef knows what he’s doing since it’s hard to find GOOD Italian restaurants! The entire staff are very friendly and helpful. This place is a real find!
We love Gianfranco's Restaurant. The food is always amazing, and the service is too! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Great Italian food and terrific service. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.
The restaurant was outstanding but your review page does not work!
Was a great restaurant with some wonderful comfort food. The waitress forgot to bring me some pepper and parmesan cheese, but it was also NYE so I know she was probably very busy. Will definitely come back again tho. Great food!
We have been dining at Gianfranco for several years. We have never been disappointed. Food is always fabulous, great wine, great service. We will continue to make this one of our faborites.
Service was bad, food was just ok. Over all feeling if resturants was very craped8.
The food was delicious, and the service was spectacular! HUGE servings as well!
We were there with friends. It was our first visit, so we didn't really know what to expect. The ambiance was wonderful, as well as their hospitality. On top of that, the wait staff was quick and friendly. The food was served in a timely manner and was delicious. They even did a meat substitution in one of the pasta dishes. Dessert and coffee was wonderful, as well as the wine selection. We will return for sure.
We always love coming here! The food and service is incredible!
This is an outstanding establishment, warm, friendly, enjoyable and did i forget to mention that the food is incredible!
Best Restaurant in the Snoqualmie/North Bend area.
IT WAS, IS, AND REMAINS A TREASURE. The owners are a family and it feels like your their guest in their home somewhere in Southern Italy. The food is excellent, not perfect just like home, delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Everyone bends over to make sure you get a great experience. Prices are moderate and for what is delivered a great value. They greet me with a hug and leave me with a kiss. It doesn't get any better than this. Nick Stellino take a lesson here.
photos: Spaghetti Frutti di Mare. Theirs is tomato based seafood with scallops, shrimp, muscles, clams, halibut and salmon in spicy Italian red sauce. Excellent
Crab Stuffed Ravioli With Shrimp. Delicious basil cream sauce very light with delicate crab and a touch of shrimp to blend. Outstanding and light.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and LOVED our total experience. We were greeted warmly like the last time we had been there was the week before, not two years ago. We were seated at the second-to-the-last table toward the back which made for easy conversation. Our waiter was great. He was able to help us with our decisions since everything sounded so good. Our dinners came in a good amount of time...and my, oh my - they are not shy on portions! My husband had the pork shank with polenta and I had the chicken special with sun-dried tomatoes and capers. They were both blow-our-minds delicious. The cheesy scalloped potatoes on my plate were the very best potatoes I have ever had! (Did I detect a bit of truffle there?) The only ding is that I wish their wine selection was a bit more well-rounded. It’s a little shy, particularly, on US Chardonnay. Just my opinion. We actually thought about extending our stay so we could go back another time, but it didn’t work out. Can’t wait for next time!
This was our first time here and we will be back. The service was warm and welcoming. We split each course. Appetizer: portabello with gorgonzola sauce, primi: cheese tortellini with a creamy tomato based sauce with bacon, zucchini and other good stuff, secondi: stuffed pork rolls with bacon etc. in a white wine sauce. Each of the courses came out freshly prepared and hot - such a rare thing any more. Each was flavorful and generous in portion. For dessert we had the bread pudding - absolutely fabulous. Along with a great bottle of wine this was a very satisfying experience and dinner.
This is a wonderful, cozy little Italian restaurant and we will go back.
