Geronimo Ratings and Reviews
It was our 35 wedding anniversary service by Dienke was fantastic her manners and professional demeanor shows the level of restaurant education and training. The service from the moment we walked in was outstanding including the girls in the front.
My suggestion is that the Champagne by the glass was very limited and no Cava which is a Spanish sparkling light and dry. I was surprised they did not have more options and better than what I had to have . Which was Tattinger a 20 dollar glass of champagne I hope this helps
We had reservations for 5:30, and so we sat at the bar for a short while - which was engaging and lively . . . . about five minutes before the appointed time, they sat us at an excellent table . . . we were treated very well - they more than accommodated our needs and whims . . . . .
This a very fine restaurant, and compares favorably with our experience of exceptional dining in Munich, Venice and Brussels, to name but a few. The food is excellent and imaginative. The service was friendly and efficient, but not intrusively effusive as is often the case in lesser places (“is everything alright” multiple times). Our sole request is that the music should have been a notch quieter. Our 50th wedding anniversary dinner could not have been more enjoyable.
This is one of the best restaurants you will ever experience. The food and service are always outstanding and this occasion was no exception. We get to Santa Fe once a year and wonder if Geronimo will be as good as previously. It has never disappointed. As like previous times, our waiter was an absolute delight to talk with which always adds to the dining experience.
This ranks as one of the top dining experiences my wife and I have ever enjoyed . It was simply outstanding. Splitting multiple appetizers, and an extraordinary endive salad led us to have just enough room to split the perfectly prepared salmon entree. The result translated into a meal full of phenomenal flavors and impeccable service from Grant and all of the professional supporting staff. From the moment you are welcomed by the gracious hostesses to the ending goodbyes, this made for a night to remember. If you are trying to decide where to go for dinner, this is the place. Worth a drive from Albuquerque. Could become addictive if you’re a Santa Fe local!!
Phenomenol meal, ambiance and service. Cozy, authentic atmosphere in an original historic Santa Fe home. Quiet enough for a romantic meal and yet lively and convivial too. Beehive fireplace in the corner of the back room adds to the experience. Servers and wait staff were friendly and professional. 5 star service but not stuffy at all. Thank you Geronimo.
This was our second dining experience at Geronimos and it was every bit as wonderful as our first. The food was well prepared and artfully presented both times. We were struck by how professional the staff were and how well they seemed to anticipate our needs. We look forward to again a great dining experience at Geronimos.
The entrees were spectacular and the lemon dessert divine. We were generously treated to birthday celebration flutes of champagne and dessert. Our server was professional, knowledgeable and also fun - which we enjoyed. The ambiance was elegant and cozy. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone desiring beautiful prepared plates and fine dining fare.
Wonderful location and ambiance. Interesting variety but the Asian fusion was unexpected (but not unpleasant) from a menu of modern American cuisine. We ordered the wagyu beef carpaccio, elk tenderloin, banana cream piece, and the mushroom tasting menu, as prepared with the wine pairing. The carpaccio and elk tenderloin were perfectly prepared and indulgent. Banana cream pie was great and paired well with port. Mushroom tasting menu was imaginative and tasty as well as a surprising amount food. Disappointed there wasn’t more of a New Mexican element. Service left nothing to be desired. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and was patient as we asked every question imaginable. It is inexcusable to miss Geronimo if you’re in Santa Fe and it’s absolutely worth the drive from Albuquerque.
The service level at this restaurant is above and beyond what we have experienced in most any other restaurant that we have dined in. We can not praise the staff too highly.
The food was perfect, the decor was uncluttered but dramatic and the noise level was low enough to encourage quiet conversation, and not create difficulties for those who's hearing may be challenged at some establishments - this was a very 'classy' experience.
Not much to say that myself and others have not already said.
Geronimo is "the" fine dining experience in Santa Fe. Period.
The 1/3 order of the wedge is one of the best renditions of a Wedge Salad I've ever had. And as much as I really wanted to try something different for once; on their menu, the Elk Tenderloin was once again my choice. Never a disappointment.
And someday I'll make myself push away so I'll have room for dessert or drop me a line and let me know how they are. ;-)
Incredible! We’ve been coming to Gerónimos now for many years and it never disappoints! Only gets better and better!
Service is always top notch! Grant was fantastic and very personable. We always have to have the lobster bites along with the sashimi and ahi tuna platter. You can never go wrong with anything on their menu- you will be wowed with any item. Close your eyes and pick and you will be more than fulfilled!
We have had their famous Elk tenderloin which is a not miss- although this time we had their foi gras as well as their filet. We had a Tempranillo with our Filet that was smooth and perfect for our red meat! The foi is cooked to perfection with a melt in your mouth inside yet a crispy exterior.
The pairing Grant suggested with the foi was really nice and added to the flavors we had on the platter!
Dessert was delicious with our added cappuccino & Sambuca. Their new mini madelines were also a delight!
Lauren, who runs the valet service, was also very caring.
From your welcoming & all the way through your edible journey at Gerónimos you will realize they know what they are doing and they care!
I’m proud to say Gerónimos is in New Mexico and is our favorite food experience.
Thank you to everyone at Gerónimos for your care and incredible taste! See you soon!
I have visited Geronimo's in the past on business and wanted to bring my wife here for her 50th birthday which was the best decision I could have made! The staff, food, and ambiance were the absolute best. Geronimo's is the best restaurant in New Mexico without dispute. Thank you for a wonderful evening and experience! Will we return.
The most amazing dining experience. Mary the owner of manager was very accommodating and Aspen our server was super attentive. The food and dessert was amazing. The flavors and textures were delicate and perfectly prepared. If you come to Santa Fe this is a must.
We arrived about 15 minutes ahead of our reservation and went into the bar to have a drink there was at least 6 available seats an attempted to sit at the bar and the bartender snapped the those seats were saved ,he was was pretty rude so we left and waited at the front where the hostess said that they were never to save or hold seats in the bar . If I wasn't in such a good mood (we had a great day) we would have left and probably never had returned !
But they took great care of us and the food and wine and service was fantastic as it always has been . We have been patrons for many years since they opened.
