Truly one of my top 10 favorite restaurants in the country! The service is what sets Geronimo apart from all others. Our server, a beautiful young woman who volunteers for CASA on the side, was a total delight - incredibly competent, handled special requests with aplomb and was absolutely stellar in her recommendations, special requests and even arming me with club soda and a towel when I spilled red wine on my white pants (rookie mistake). Our food was outstanding!!!!!!
Brought a group of 5 to Geronimo for Father's Day dinner expecting a pretty high-end experience. Unfortunately, our expectations were far too high to meet for this pretty sub-standard restaurant. The good: our drinks were phenomenal, our first guest was treated very kindly to the lounge area to wait for the rest of us to arrive, valet service was fast, the crab cakes were quite good. The bad: our waitress was very inattentive and we had to flag her down multiple times, we consistently had to ask for dishes to be cleared, the bread was appallingly bad, like almost comically so, the appetizers, dinners, and desserts were all underwhelming, outside the aforementioned very flavorful crab cakes. I could go on about the food but it's a little time-consuming and I'm not sure if it's helpful - suffice to say nothing delighted, items tasted stale right from the bread to the jasmine rices cakes to the gritty ice cream. Really a disappointment!
We had the biggest martinis so only needed one. We shared the pear salad and had our own appetizers- crab cakes and foie gras which were great and shared the excellent elk and desserts lemon crepe and banana cream pie with coffee. Quiet, low lighting, comfortable seating only four tables in our room. Love eating there.
Always great food, but what puts Geronimo on top is the quality staff. We try to get their at least every couple months.
Food exceeded our expectations and Virginia was amazing. She made our experience so memorable. Thank you!
Dinner with amazing friends that I also happen to work for! Our last night in Santa Fe, and this was the perfect end to our tripp
Great food! Service was a bit slow than I had been accustomed.
It is an exceptional restaurant from the quality of food to the service. It is simply fantastic. Our server Craig went out of the way to help with our allergies and making us feel special. It is the best!
We are visiting from Atlanta. The service and food was excellently prepared and serviced well. It could not be better we will write a review on trip advisor.
Service was impeccable, food delicious and would definitely recommend dining on the patio.
Great service, fantastic food and lovely experience,
Not to be missed if you find yourself in Santa Fe.
Our favorite place for special occasions! Santa Fe has many fine restaurants, but we’ve never found one better
Everything including the service was outstanding and has continued that way year after year. Always a real pleasure and a restaurant you can count on if you have a special occasion. The elk tenderloin is always recommended.
My friend had the BY strip steak. He said it was the best ever, none he had eaten before were even a close second.
The tenderloin was cooked perfectly and was great for me as I'm gluten free.
Service was impeccable and food was even better with a very nice wine selection. I had the elk tenderloin which was absolutely fabulous and my husband had the prawns which he thoroughly enjoyed. We will definite return to Geronimo when in Santa Fe and will highly recommend to friends.
Family gathering of six - an unparalleled experience, service and food were beyond perfect. We will be back!
Loved it! The steak was good, but in retrospect I should have tried something more exotic. My wife's fish was wonderful. Had the tiramisu for desert - fantastic. Wait staff was very cordial and even provided some free goodies (cup of soup, etc.). Would go again after saving up a bit.
A great dining experience. The Service was impeccable. A top dining experience that one would not want to miss while in Santa Fe.
This was a beautiful restaurant with great service. Drinks were excellent. My husband had the lamb chops which he said was the best ever. I had the scallops. They were vet tasty, but the portion was extremely small. There were only 3 scallops the size of a half dollar. That’s comes to about $13 per scallop. I my advise us order something else. Great restaurant for a very special occasion
This was a wonderful dining experience. The wait staff was outstanding as was the food. We could not have been made to feel any more welcome than we were made to feel that evening. I completely understand why Geronimo has been rated as the #1 dining experience on other travel sites.
The food is just okay, nothing to complain about, nothing to write home about. Fish was a bit over cooked, rice cakes a bit dry, but still tasty. If the plates were half the price, it’d be a decent restaurant. Our server was very attentive. Their Manhattans taste like cough syrup.
We chose Geronimo for our 28th wedding anniversary. Everything I had read online about the food and atmosphere was spot on and excellent! Our server, Russell was beyond amazing and provided excellent service and attention to every detail! They congratulated us with a champagne toast to start and gave us a beautiful corner table. My husband had the elk tenderloin and I had the pork entree, along with the mushroom bisque. Wine and tequila selections were awesome as well! Would definitely go back!
The location, on Canyon Road, and the timing, after a first Friday stroll amid the many art galleries, made this restaurant a must. Starting with the woman at the front desk, who helped us upgrade our reservation time to an earlier one, the experience was one diners should expect rather than hope for.
We sat on the front porch to enjoy the evening light and the weather, and the choice was perfect. The servers were confident and helpful in their suggestions. The tables near us took advantage of the approachable staff to make a number of inquiries. Never did we get anything but a sense that the staff enjoyed fielding and responding to questions.
The rack of lamb should be at the top of your list, but whatever you select, look for the little details that make the entire plate an enjoyable adventure.
It was quite good, but not what I would call outstanding. We had the bison and it was tender and flavorful but not anything memorable. The sides were OK. Again, nothing spectacular. The service was outstanding. A bit noisy but not deafening. I don't know what the hoopla is about. It's not any better than the Coyote Cafe.
The whole experience was fantastic. The food, the service & patio dining was superb! Valet parking was helpful too.
Geronimo is truly exceptional. Although located in Santa Fe, it would be among the very best restaurants in any major U.S. (or international) city. It is, without question, deserving of Michelin star recognition. The food at Geronimo expertly blends unexpected flavors in dishes, presented beautifully, in perfectly-sized portions. The elk and sea bass, as well as the beet salad, are outstanding examples. The service is also amazing. Grant, assisted by Miranda, made recommendations for dishes and their preparation to ensure we enjoyed our food. Although they had several tables, they made as feel as though we were their only customers. Their service rivaled that we received in the very best restaurants around the world. The ambiance is equally amazing. Geronimo is in a 1756 adobe structure, consistent with the architecture and style of Santa Fe, with elegant, yet comfortable, dining rooms. Couples are seated next to each other, rather than across, at tables that could accommodate 3 or 4 people, which is a very welcome and romantic touch. Thank you Grant and Miranda, and everyone else behind the scenes that made our experience at Geronimo so wonderful!
Wonderful dinner with the Vegetarian tasting menu with wine pairings. Our server Emily was the best!! Great to see a restaurant that has stayed around since 1990!
A friend from Manhattan was visiting and I wanted her to eat at the best Santa Fe restaurants. So, of course, Geronimo was first on our list. My friend is definitely a foodie and thought the elk was the best she'd ever had. I had the pork shank and my wife had the lamb. We were all delighted with our meals. Our service was fine and not obtrusive. Altogether met all of our needs and desires!
Birthday dinner for my mom
Great ambience and food. A must when visiting Santa Fe. My first time there and loved it!
Bread and mushroom bisque was exceptional and had the meal stopped there, it was one of the best meals ever for my wife and I. However, the Elk tenderloin was as good as in the past. The lemon crepe and creme brûlée were the two best desserts we’ve had. In over 250 restaurants we’ve rated, Geronimo’s is the best. Hospitality of entire staff is second to none.
The most incredible dining experience in Santa Fe!! Beef carpaccio was a great appetizer to share. The beet salad was executed perfectly, with purple and yellow beets. Elk tenderloin from farm-raised elk just outside town - very tender and not gamey. The Sea Bass with the Miso Ramen noodles was incredible - great flavors. The service was excellent. They brought us champagne to toast a special occasion for our group of 7. Very attentive wait staff, homey ambiance. We can't wait to go back!
Great service from Mr. Hayden. Thank you.
Don't miss Geronimo when I’m Santa Fe! Best in town!!
Top notch experience. They even recognized it was close to our anniversary thanks to OpenTable’s profile on my account. See my full review on TripAdvisor under reviewer name Batonwaver.
We were welcomed warmly as we got in from a hail storm ! Our table was secluded, so private & quiet. Virginia is a delightful server & made our dinner most enjoyable. The 3 of us liked the pear salad & crab cake appetizers very much. Two of the dinners were elk tenderloin & pork shank, which were said to be delicious. My local NY Strip steak had a good flavor but was in no way tender, w/a fair amount of fat & gristle. The creme brulee is yummy & the lemon crepe was good.
Our first time in Santa Fe. Geronimo has an amazing menu, a great vegetarian tasting, and wine list. The customer service was excellent. Our first time in Santa Fe! What a wonderful City.
