Geronimo Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I have been to many restaurants and we live in Denver so have many options. We took a vacation to Santa Fe and this was the highlight of our trip. The food and service was outstanding. Although pricey it was well worth the price. We celebrated Valentines Day and and this was one of the most romantic dinners we have ever had. When we come back to Santa Fe we will definitely dine here again.
Best experience at Geronimo‘s in a decade or more! Phenomenal service — including an enthusiastic and knowledgeable waiter who juggled our dietary restrictions like a maestro despite the fact that it was Valentine’s Day evening and the place was packed — and perfectly prepared dishes. A memorable night that suggests this Cantin Road institution is having a second heyday. Bravo!
Unfortunately our experience did not live up to the hype. My wife had the lobster which was stringly, chewy, and bland. Some pieces were inedible. My Chilean Sea Bass was very good, but not excellent. Tables were too close together but the service was excellent. The cost of the meal was far from worth the meal itself.
We have experienced some memorable cuisine on adventures around the world. Geronimo is our favorite American restaurant, and amazingly, it’s right in our own backyard! This restaurant makes you feel special from the moment you arrive. The seating is intimate; the waitstaff is welcoming, congenial, knowledgeable, and gracious; and, above all, the food is fabulous! I usually order the elk, which is a luscious melt in your mouth piece of perfection atop creamy potatoes, mushrooms, and crunchy snow peas. My husband has enjoyed several of the fish dishes, but this time he opted for the grilled lobster tails. They were unbelievably tender and succulent combined with Thai basil noodles that had a slight kick of heat. We split a wonderfully subtle wasabi Caesar salad that surpassed any Caesar salad I’ve ever eaten anywhere. Dessert was a flourless chocolate cake, covered in chocolate ganache, served with homemade vanilla ice cream and creative southwest flavors that still linger on the tongue! Whenever we want an extra special dining experience, Geronimo is the first place we think of! It offers a truly unforgettable evening for its patrons!
Attentive, friendly service. Food quality commensurate with prices. A lovely room.
However, if you don't enjoy community seating, you will be disappointed. Most tables are so close together that you will all be able to enjoy each other's [even quiet] conversations.
Fabulous in every respect! Best in Santa Fe! My husband and I had the elk tenderloin and salmon, respectively. Both were out of this world! Cherry-infused Woodford Reserve Manhattan was in a class by itself. Exceptional service and cozy and comfortable restaurant. Wonderful wine list!
Our dinner was perfect from start to finish. No detail was missed to assure that we had a fine dinning experience. My husband had the elk and I had the salmon and both were prepared with perfection. We look forward to a Santa Fe visit again and will definitely be back.
Outstanding all around - we expected it to be very good based on other reviews, but we did not expect to be wowed. We were also pleasantly surprised by the check - we have eaten at far lesser quality restaurants for much greater cost - given the caliber of food and service we expected a much bigger bill. Big fans!!
One of the best meals we've ever had. Everything course was amazing, well paced, and beautifully presented. Service was spot on and professional from valet to hostess to knowledgeable wait staff. Highly recommend Geronimo for a memorable dining experience next time you are in Santa Fe!
We were celebrating our anniversary, but didn't say anything to the restaurant.
Our wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful.
The food was just wonderful and we would definitely go back again.
I had one of their signature dishes (prawns) and my husband asked for
some substitutions which were done without fuss. We shared the Meyer
Lemon Crepe and it was outstanding!!
