Germantown Café can host almost any sort of special occasion in our private dining room. Whether it’s a business luncheon, a wedding rehearsal dinner, or just a large dinner party for friends, we can seat up to thirty people in our flexible, private space.
View Private Dining DetailsOur second visit when we travel to Nashville and go the Ryman. Easy drive
from the restaurant to the public library garage for parking. Great
happy hour from 3-7. Had dinner at 5. All was good but disappointed
the Nashville city view was obstructed more by buildings to the east. Go
after dark if you want to see skyline.
We went to the Germantown Café for Sunday brunch. We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation. The waitress Bobbie was very friendly and efficient. We had the crab cakes eggs Benedict, which were excellent.
The only negatives were that the restaurant is quite noisy, and one waiter (who thankfully was not serving us) who apparently was in training kept scratching his scalp and his beard while serving food. If he had been serving us, I would have complained.
I did update the open table reservation right after I booked it but it still showed the original 4 when I had update to 5. They were able to accommodate the change however.
food was terrible. no other way to say i️t.
Never disappoints. Love it. We want to try other new restaurants, but then we always go back to Germantown Cafe.
Excellent! Coconut curry salmon was amazing! Great atmosphere and location. Unique menu items and reasonably priced.
I went here for a Meet The Parents date. The atmosphere was great and calmed everyone’s nerves. Plus the food was amazing and made everyone happy. Great waiter and ambiance. Perfect place for a special dinner!
We really enjoyed our lunch at the Germantown Cafe, and it was very easy to get there from downtown Nashville on the FREE Music City Circuit Blue Bus. Our food was attractively presented, delicious, and served promptly in a charming atmosphere.
Great food! Convenient parking right across the street. Waitress provided short cut to Nissan stadium for MNF
Cafe has great food, service and environment. What else do you need?
Food was outstanding & service was excellent. Been to Brunch& dinner, both is fa-nominal. The French Onion soup is the best in the city dare I say state. Look forward to eating there again.
Awesome service! Food was delicious! First time there and I will be going back!
We had our third visit to Germantown Cafe with out of state friends. The food and service were excellent as always. We really enjoy this restaurant!
Wonderful Saturday brunch - the Steak Benedict was full of flavor and the omelette stuffed with sausage and cheddar, but the pepper jack grits were the coup de "gras-vy"! We will be back for more of everything.
We have gone to Germantown Cafe many times, sometime with just the 2 of us, sometimes with 4 or 6 and once with a big group of 15. It has always been a really good meal and service and a pleasure to be there.
Overall it was a very good experience. The food was outstanding. The mac and cheese was perfectly done, the pork belly tots are worth a try, and the French onion soup is outstanding. My wife had the meatloaf and I had the swordfish special. Both were spot on. The meatloaf is a menu staple and it deserves to be there. The swordfish was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Nashville!
Germantown Café can always be depended on for great food, good atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. The only disappointment of the evening was that they had run out of their chicken entrée.
Delicious meal while watching the downtown skyline. The apple walnut pie is one of my favorite desserts.
The Germantown neighborhood is an awesome setting for this cute place with excellent food.
Always an enjoyable dining experience for both business & other meals.
We stopped by before heading downtown for a concert. The service was fast, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was excellent! The only bad is the parking situation. The Cafe has a lot across the street. We paid $15 for one hour of parking. Not a huge deal, but limited options. You can either by 1 or 8 hours of parking. Not sure of the price for 8 hours. Still, great restaurant for drinks and food!
Was in town to visit my daughter and she had been raving about the salmon dish. I couldn't wait to have it. We both ordered it and the waitress came back 15 minutes later to tell us there was no more salmon. Very disappointed.
I ordered the onion soup per the waitresses suggestion and I asked for it well done on the cheese. I also ordered crab cakes.
The onion soup was luke warm, the cheese was hardly cooked on top and the crab cakes were room tempature.
My daughters amberjack was very good.
I was not happy with this meal at all, especially for the price I paid. I visit Nashville every month and wish that I had a better experience. I really like the ambience and service.
My three brothers and I were in Nashville for a brothers get-together. Found Germantown Cafe on OpenTable. Great meal, good wine, attentive and knowledgeable staff, and reasonable prices. It was a perfect choice that helped to make our weekend together all the more fun. All four of us would recommend it!
The good was mediocre. Maybe I caught them on a bad night. The fried green tomatoes were not good. The curry coconut salmon was good but didn't really taste like curry or coconut but the salmon was tasty. The risotto that accompanied it was cold.
It was a busy night so our service was a little slow however completely understandable and worth the wait. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great!!
Excellent location seeing the city's skyline and the food is to die for.
The food was excellent. The beniets were awesome.
Both food and service was great, would definitely recommend it to everyone.
As always, the food and service were superb. I loved the view of downtown...the black eyed pea hash was wonderful.
The staff was friendly and professional. We arrived early and it was no problem to have a drink on the patio until our table was ready.
They do a number of things well: location, decor, friendliness, menu. The great attitude of the wait staff is a particular highlight. The weak spot, unfortunately, is food preparation. They get everything else right. And the dishes SOUND great when they're described (at ordering). The only "catch" is that what shows-up on the plate in front of you is not particularly well cooked, seasoned, or plated. So, yes, go for the social aspect or for the ambiance. Just don't expect first-rate execution.
Delicious, creative food. Good service. A superb dinner for a girls' weekend in Nashville - best meal we had :)
Germantown Cafe is one of our favorites. Consistently good food, friendly service, neighborhood atmosphere, creative cuisine. Never disappoints.
This has been a reliable, standard place for years for me and friends, usually a consistent experience, good food, close to downtown. The most recent visit, though, just fell short of the past. Just not up to par from what Ive come to know from Germantowm Cafe.
Good for brunch. The reservation system was easy and reliable. A bit noisy on Sunday but good food with a creative twist. Service was good, as well.
My favorite restaurant in Germantown. They have amazing food for reasonable prices, their brunch is amazing and their mimosas are always poured right, and the atmosphere is really nice but not ‘pretentious levels’ of fancy. I’ll never not go back. PS Plum pork is unbelievably good.
The bread was fantastic! Great service!
We had early dinner, and it was an excellent experience. The food and service were first rate. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We look forward to going again.
We were delighted with our delicious meals: crab cakes, salmon and vegetable bowl. One of the best meals out ever. Heath cheese cake was super as well. Great north Nashville eatery!
