Food was okay, but not good value considering that the restaurant is pricey. Service from the waiter was poor; he was bumbling and inattentive and being followed by a trainee (sort of like the blind leading the blind). The Maitre D filled in some of the gaps, mercifully. I would not go back given the other choices available.
Fantastic as always. One of only two places on Maui where I know that you get fresh fish from the harbor. Outstanding steak and lamb preparations with a nice selection of appetizers. The creme carmel is the best I have ever had.
As always , a wonder dining experience It is unfortunate that so few people understand fine dining these days. They are moving to fast enjoy the experience or don’ t know the difference between a average meal and a great one. They are the kind of person who buys a cheap wine because wine is supposedly in rather than purchasing a good wine that you can truly enjoy. Gerard’s like a fine wine should be experienced and enjoyed by anyone with a sophisticated palate.

Excellent food and excellent service. I enjoyed the Lobster Bisque which I found to be one of the best I ever had, and the risotto was great. Service was impeccable and the restaurant charming.
Delicious food. Good service. Lovely ambience. Was a very enjoyable meal for our first night on the island.
AMAZING! The best meal we have ever had! Our server, Scott was incredibly knowledgable, attentive and is now stuck with us! We can't wait to go back and will be bringing a group of 9 on March 1 for dinner.

The food was just OK
The Lobster Bisque was bad. I can't even say it was OK.
My scallop appetizer was ok, but it was 1 scallop thinly cut into 4 slices. Expected more than that for $16
The fish of the day was bland.
Any my pork tenderloin had good flavor but was over cooked. It was medium-well instead of medium rare. Completely grey. Not the slightest hint of pink. No give to the touch.
Even if the food had been exceptional, the price would have been high. I could live with a high price if the food was exceptional.
But the price was ridiculous for the meal we received.
I will not eat here again.
