The food was amazing, so were the drinks. The restaurant was very nice also and relaxing. I would definitely return.

Just a standard brunch .

They had a live jazz band for brunch when we went. Service was great. Food was tasty but nothing too exciting.

Great ambiance and the service was excellent. We went for dinner and it was just okay. For being more expensive the meal fell flat but this would be a great spot to get an app or dessert and drinks rather than a full meal.

Geraldine's brunch was fantastic. Their jazz trio was wonderful to be able to hear live music. Just lovely.

Worst service and it didn’t seem that busy. Waiter had an arrogant air and we waited 20 minutes before he appeared to say I will be right with you. The music Jo James was was kept us from walking out.

Love the ambiance. The live music is wonderful on Thursdays. Our server was great. A go to spot for good food and good entertainment.

The music was splendid!

Delightfully surprised. We are skeptical with hotel restaurants, but Geraldine's was delicious. We enjoyed the roasted beets, striped bass, tres leches and bread pudding. It took too long to get the drinks but the server made up for it with her personality. Overall, great experience and we will return.

I had a reservation for a table, but opted to sit at the bar for dinner. Staff was attentive. Food was excellent.

I wish I wasn’t moved to a different area just to find out that no one ended up coming to the table I was originally at. extremely disappointed because it ruined my night and I it was suppose to be a night of celebration. Luckily our sever was amazing but he charged me incorrectly. So other than that, Everything’s was good.

Went for brunch with the girls. Enjoyed my meal, server was fine, atmosphere was nice. I didn’t realize it was in the hotel van zandt which I guess is going through some remodeling, as the outside is very much under construction. I wish the singer in the band got a golden ticket to not wear a mask on stage, masks are not suitable for quality music making conditions.

Brunch was not great, and the portions are on the smaller side for the price.

Went for brunch loved the cia seed pudding, biscuits were great texture but not warm enough to melt the butter. Short rib quesadilla was delicious as well! Overall would recommend for a nice jazz brunch with live music. Our server Liz was amazing! Will be back to try out dinner!

We went for my husband’s 40th birthday surprise dinner on 1/8/21! We had a party of 8 and had the best time ever!! :) Everything was wonderful (service, food, drinks)! We will be back!

Came in on a Sunday for brunch with the girls. Overall great experience. This was a very beautiful restaurant and we had live music playing. I had the Benedict and I was very happy with my choice. Overall great brunch date with the girls!

No atmosphere at all. Dull and boring

Hotel Van Zandt and Geraldine’s are a perfect fit! Menu uncomplicated - flavors and presentation fantastic. Share plates made the meal friendly and easy... plenty of food for both of us.

Our server was amazing - Gary I think. He went above & beyond, & to me service is 70% of the experience. Great drinks & good food. Good vibes overall.

Breath-taking ambiance and one of the best meals I’ve had in Austin. Live music was a great touch as well. (Order the steak! You can cut it with a spoon!). I also ordered the Youre So Pretty and it’s one of my new favorite drinks (basically a floral martini)

It was good, but not amazing like I expected. It took too long for a server to greet our table and take drinks- about 10 mins, and the service of drinks remained slow throughout the meal, but food came out with good timing. The server was pleasant and knowledgeable. I really liked the salty-sweet flavors in the burrata dish although I did not expect it to be sweet. I really went to try the roast chicken because I’m on the hunt for blow-your-mind restaurant chicken dishes and from the menu description this one reminded me of an amazing roast chicken I’ve had elsewhere. While this chicken was cooked to perfection with thin crispy skin sliced perfectly it was so bland even with the chimichurri. It was served with grilled lemon so I wish they would get rid of the chimichurri and serve it with a lemon jus, but that’s just my preference. I would go back at some point, but probably not any time soon because there are so many other places to try in Austin, but it was still a nice meal at a nice restaurant and the ambiance and private elevator to the restaurant made it feel fancy.

Chicken on the Upscale

It has been a long time coming to experience Geraldine’s after hearing about great things. It all started earlier in the day when we entered the Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt and noticed a poster board advertising Fried Chicken Thursday’s. This got our immediate attention and made reservations online.

We returned to the Van Zandt in the evening navigating around a construction crew outside to find out the elevator to the restaurant is activated at 5:30 PM sharp. Waited shortly in the lobby until able to go up to enter a darkly lit awe-inspiring place. We were the first guests and quickly seated to a nice table. I saw a stage, kitchen and bar. The intimate romantic atmosphere was perfect to celebrate our anniversary. The service was top notch.

As for our meal we ordered the Fried Chicken (4 pieces), Buttermilk Biscuits, Sweet Potatoes, and Brussels Sprouts. My drink was a Southern Sipper which was a bourbon drink with maple-pecan syrup with a cinnamon twist, and enjoyed it very much. Our special evening was treated like a five course where each item was brought to us separately starting with the biscuits and ended with the chicken. All the items were superb and plentiful. The fried chicken was the highlight. It was mildly spicy and not greasy. I was able able to eat it with a knife and fork without it being a mess. The flavor was perfect and truly was among to best in Austin.

I want to thank Geraldine’s for the surprise Chocolate Tart desert for our anniversary. We appreciate it!

The interior is a bit worn. The website said that live music started at 8PM, but in fact it started at 9:30PM. Overall, a bit disappointed.
