My first time here, the food was fantastic, so creative. Was not excited to try the cooked carrots, but they were one of my favorite dishes! Unique and tasty food plus live music! Will definitely be back
Live music and drinks...great service and I like the ambiance!
The best unexpected food ever! Will definitely go again.
Nice environment. The food was awesome. Great staff
Love jazz music was pretty good overall a nice ambience. The staff was professional and friendly. The food, at least the brunch menu we tried was ok but not great.
Thoughtful service, inventive combinations, & outstanding execution! Loved it. Would 100% recommend to foodie friends.
no negative comments following my first dining experience at Geraldines. Everything we ate and drank was delicious.
Family in from out of town and wanted a brunch within walking distance. Their menu wasn’t large and they were out of non-breakfast item with no offer of substitution. Service was cruddy as well with rude waiter. I guess that is what you get from a hotel restaurant. Will not be back as this was our second try at Geraldine’s and the food quality/taste is bland and service stinks. The restaurant and views are nice, but not at the price for mediocre food.
The food was amazing and the restaurant itself was very classy. My only complaint is that you get small portions for a high price.
The Host person was aloof, didn’t acknowledge us while talking to another guest and left us standing to wait until she finally looked up and was rather perfunctory at best.
Server assistant was new and told us his life story.
Server was friendly, however visible disappoint me too once she realized we weren’t going to order more than 2 courses.
Value relationship on the menu prices to the portion and flavor profiles was not good.
Cocktails were outstanding. Also sat in the corner in an empty restaurant as far away from the band that was going to play while we were there.
Overall would not go back other than to have a drink and listen to music. We left after our 2 dishes and went to another restaurant to eat.
Great service, great food. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We were seated at a 2 top right next to a bus cart, who designs a floor plan like that? The finish on our tabletop was in such disrepair that our plates stuck to it, very sticky and well worn but not in a good way. Condensation under water glass caused it to slide off of the uneven table surface on its own. Crispy pork ribs and biscuits were great, other items were so so. Server was just checking boxes. Very disappointing for a Kimpton property. Take lessons from Tulio in Seattle please. Would not return.
The food was delicious. Every plate we ordered was great. Especially the quail!
The food was outstanding and our server was very attentive. Great wine list too.
Amazing food and amazing service!!
we stopped in for brunch. food was delightful and the jazz band was awesome!
Great experience except we made a reservation but got sat in a strange section. Feel like we Could have walked in for that.
Service was very slow and drawn out. Waited 20 minutes for a new drink every time. Got dessert way too late and we had to leave it uneaten so we could pick up our kid from the sitter. Roasted chicken was tasty but skin was slimy and pale rather than browned. When you first arrive, the hostess has you scan a QR code for the menu before you sit down at the table, which was offputting. With all we know now about how COVID is (not) transmitted via surfaces, you’d think they would offer some paper menus, especially for my older mother in law who was with us who doesn’t like to use her phone. Lastly is the seating. We were sat at a very low table in some high-ish low-back tulip chairs. It was very awkward to sit in them as it forces you to recline but doesn’t have anywhere to rest your elbows. And then the table is basically on your lap. Table top was beat up and has stains all over it too. In all, the food is pretty good. It’s just undermined by the seating and service. Just not as nice a restaurant as I was told it would be and that the prices indicate, and I was pretty disappointed. With so many good choices to eat at in Austin, I doubt we’ll be back.
A great menu selection. All selections were delicious. I will go there again.
Great service and food!
The perfect ambiance for a girls brunch. The jazz music was lovely. Food was great. Service was great. Drinks were beautiful. Loved it!
Great all around. Loved brunch musical performance and top notch server!
Delicious food, great service, chic decor & gorgeous sunset
What a beautiful date night spot! I highly recommend this place and will have to try the brunch menu next time!
Great place! Love the ambiance! Upscale and live band is definitely a plus! Will definitely go back again.
Amazing, fun, beautiful venue for dinner, drinks, and music!
What a wonderful experience, the food was amazing, ambiance, drinks, view on patio all spectacular!
Nice ambiance. Great service. Delicious cocktails.
Entirely too expensive for quality and portion size. 38.00 for a half a small chicken and a few potatoes. Tomatoes served carpaccio style-12.00. Plates were awkwardly spaced out-randomly served a plate of carrots, then 10 minutes later a pork chop, then other dishes. Definitely not enough food for 4 adults. We left hungry and broke.
Very friendly waiter
Really fun to try a lot of dishes & share with the table. I loved trying a variety of dishes. We had the quail, the biscuits, the crispy pork ribs, and the hamachi crudo. My favorite dish was either the crispy pork ribs or the biscuits but the sauce for the quail was coconut curry and it was delish!!
First, the live music and ambiance is outstanding. Food quality is solid, but you pay for the ambiance in the price. Labor Day weekend they refused to valet park our car despite dropping $250 on brunch in our group, staying it was just for overnight guests. We got stuck looking for outside parking, which cost us $30.
The service was slow as molasses, it took an hour and a half for our brunch to show up. Nothing unusual, no special requests…quesadillas and burgers. They at least kept the drinks coming with about a 20-30 wait per round.
It’s a beautiful place, but not worth the price and hassle. Austin has better.
First time dining here. While the food was very good my overall rating is based on how poor the customer service experience was. Our wait person was not attentive at all. We waited more than 40 minutes for our food to be delivered (a salad and bacon and eggs) without any follow up by our wait person. During that period our ice tea glasses were empty. I will not return.
I appreciate the reservation service it made our seating so easy. And we had a great table to listen to Kenny Williams. He is just so lovely. And the food was magnificent. My friend had a hamburger that was 6 inches tall. Not sure how she got it in her mouth. I had the short rib quesadillas which were perfect. Then we had a sweet roll with ice cream on it. Holy moly. I’ll be back. Nicely done
Live music, great food and drinks, and a cool place to hang out with friends.
Beautiful restaurant, food and drinks were fab! Great spot since it’s located on Rainey Street.
Our waiter knocked it out of the park. The spicy Nashville chicken was amazing. Can’t wait to eat here again!
It was nice due to live music and the whole environment. I was a bit disappointed on the fact that it says it has a roof top, but once you get there you realize it’s largely only for the hotel guests. And it is not at the top, it’s a 4th floor.
Our server was amazing! Ask for Alexander for Sunday brunch. He went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic, and added to the great atmosphere at this place.
Food wise, don’t miss the Bakery Plate for an appetizer, the brunch burger, or the short rib quesadillas.
For beverages, the Grey Goose Spritz & the Mr. Roboto were wonderful drinks.
