It's been several years since I was last here. The food is still good, the ambiance is great, and our wait staff was super friendly and helpful. A great spot for brunch on the weekends or dinner any day of the week.
The waiter was very attentive and accomadating. He was very friendly. The food was superb.
We were told Sunday brunch was a D.C. thing to do. Sunday was a rainy day, so starting our day with this incredible brunch was a delightful choice. Since we were traveling, we asked if our entree choice could be given to someone. Our waiter said it could be given to a homeless which pleased us.
Food was delicious, but the gumbo was served warm, rather than hot, a big negative for me. Staff took it back and heated it, so that was fine. I still think that in a good restaurant with entrees at $30, the customer should not have to raise his hand to tell the server who ordered what when the food arrives, but I guess I just have to accept this deterioration in American restaurant service.
The waitress we had did not have the most pleasant attitude. It took 15 mins before she even came to the table. I’m not sure what her issue was but it made our experience very unpleasant.
After discovering Georgia Brown’s years ago on a family holiday we always make sure to enjoy a meal there when we are in town whether for business or pleasure.
Great date night atmosphere, good food and drinks.
I would only recommend this restaurant with caveats.
Great Restaurant with great vibes! Relaxing, yet enthusiastic service! A Great evening!
Excellent food and service, as usual
The food was delicious, the portions were generous and the service was excellent. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
Fantastic evening! Server Kyieba was superb...Personable, Professional, Attentive, and Knowledgeable. Our celebratory evening was made extra special by her being our server.
Also want to Thank greeter Angel for her professionalism and charm! The food was delicious...looking forward to my next experience at Georgia Brown’s.
Nice restaurant with good food, but the music was kind of loud and the ladies room was not clean.
Service started out strong but faded as the restaurant got more busy. The food was delicious even if not exactly was we thought we ordered. Mike high Apple pie was worth fighting over.
The food was great, however it was very noisy. I was pleased with the take home entree. They started closing the buffet down before 3:30, I wasn't too pleased with that. The Waite staff was friendly and kind.
Excellent service and food. Seating was a little tight, but not a big deal.
First time here in several years....it was as good as we remembered. Wait staff was particularly good, and accommodating to one member of our party with a service dog.
Wonderful experience. Food was good and service was excellent
Great food, great service, but so noisy we could hardly hear each other. very authentic southern dishes.
The fried oysters were amazing !!!! Food is always great
Took three friends for their first Georgia Brown dining experience. They loved everything!
We really enjoyed the food and our waitress made it all the better. Our waitress explained in detail each dish we asked about. We wanted to experience this restaurant because we had heard about it for years but most of us were from other cities. We all enjoyed it.
Seated promptly. Good mixed crowd. Some church folks dressed up, some casual business lunches and some Jeans and polos and no one felt out of place. Buffet flowed well, servers cleared tables expeditiously, live jazz with songstress a nice touch. Best bacon I've had this year. Egg and waffle station cooked to order. Desserts station and one entree to go in addition to buffet included in price. I would return.
Service was awesome for such a big group and LORD! that food was amazing, I spelt like a baby after. 😂
Lovely restaurant, great staff and service.
Food was delish. Menu provided lots of choices. My vegetarian friend was so happy. It was just hot in the restaurant and so noisy that we had to yell to each other.
First time to visit and I will go back the next time in DC. The jazz music trio sounded great and the shrimp and grits dush was a homerun choice.
The air conditioning was not working very well the night we had dinner! It was a bit challenging to have conversation due to the live jazz music.
Food was delicious and portions were ample.
Things have changed. Menu reduced and choice not as good. Sensed restaurant not busy like usual and was very disappointed.
Over priced food posing as southern cuisine. Couldn't enjoy conversation with guest as it was extremely loud inside. Wouldn't recommend or re-visit. The only positive was that the staff was friendly.
The brunch is the best in D.C.!!! Loved it!
Everything was delicious! The service was great too!
Won't be back. I have visited in the past and the experience was beyond pleasurable. However upon arriving the waiting area had no seating. It was hot and very little air. Made reservations and still had to wait 45 minutes. Then the food at the buffet table was limited to a few items. I could have done a heck of a lot better at a backyard BBQ.
Certainly wasn't the Georgia Brown I knew in the past.
Celebrating the birthday and promotion of a dear friend, Georgia Brown served as the perfect setting for great food, service, music, and atmosphere. Thank you so much for remaining consistent over all these years!
The Sunday Brunch comes with a take out entree...AWESOME
This was our first visit to Georgia Brown’s Restaurant and we were very please with the food, ambience and service provided. They went beyond my expectations. Thank you and keep up the good work!!!
We had a reservation and they weren't at all organized, leading us to the wrong table twice. It took 15 minutes for the waiter to come get our drink order.
Food did come out quickly.
My biddy and I were seated right away, because we were exactly on time. The service was superb, she was friendly and swift with taking our orders. She also knew what the day's special was that evening.
The food was nicely prepared and delicious! Every last morsel! The final bill was reasonable, for the location of restaurant and because we held off on the adult beverages. I will definitely be back when I visit DC again!!!
