Food was very good, service was ok, nothing to write home about. The room was so hot I couldn't wait to leave .
We had a great time with excellent music and delicious food.
Sunday Jazz brunch was "over the top" food buffet. Music was enjoyable, food was very good, service was great. Definitely a good choice.
The brunch is great! The drinks a litte pricy but good. You get your moneys worth.
It was my first visit. I didn’t know what to expect and yet it surpassed all of my expectations!
I had not been to Georgia Browns in a while, and it was just as I remembered it. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the jazz trio was wonderful.
One of my favorite places to brunch! The food is always amazing. I was a tad bit disappointed with the French toast today but other than that everything was tasty!
It was my first time eating there. it was very nice . Food and service was very good. Nice quite place to take your wife or friend out to dinner.
I went for a birthday dinner over the weekend, and overall it was a great experience. The food was great and so were the drinks. Our food came out pretty fast and the servers were speedy with everything we needed.
Service was slow. Waiter was inattentive. When my food did come out. It was lukewarm.
Food was delicious and decadent. Love that you can change your side for the entree without an extra charge. Service was impeccable and staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable with great recommendations on the menu. Enjoyed dinner as well as the atmosphere.
Amazing food and great live jazz! Thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Great place to stop on in... when in DC!
I’ve dined at the restaurant before but it had been a few years and wanted some southern cooking. I atmosphere is nice but I was not impressed with my meal. I started with the she crab soup which was quite bland. For the entree I had the Jambalaya. The 3 small shrimp were rubbery and the 2 chicken strips and 1 piece of sausage cut long ways were over cooked & dry.
Outstanding service and atmosphere and food for many years they continue to deliver excellence
My second time at Georgia Brown's for their jazz brunch, and it did not disappoint! My favorites were the grits, paella, peel and eat shrimp, bacon, and bottomless mimosas! Our server, Nelson, ensured that we were well taken care of and met all of our needs. Another wonderful experience!
Loved it and we differently will be back! 10/10
Great Southern dishes. Think Fried Green Tomatoes, Jambalaya and Gumbo which are all delicious. Good service, live jazz band. Fully booked so advise making a reservation.

Girls Night Out
Well, I can only say we were disappointed. It was a Girls Weekend and we heard much about this restaurant. We made reservations but had to change tables because there wasn't enough room for 5 people. Our waiter was great. The food was not worth the money. I ordered the She-Crab soup that had very little flavor, and a chicken dish that I can't even remember. One of my friends did say the shrimp and grits were good, but the rest was just so-so. Sorry, can't recommend it.
The women’s restroom smelled and ran out of soap. The jazz band was good, but too loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation.
I went there on a dinner date. Both my guest and I were disappointed with our meals. My date had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken that was flavorless, and certainly not resembling of anything you’d call Southern cooking. I had the Shrimp and Grits. Having lived in Charleston SC for awhile I was feeling nostalgic. The portion size was very small for an entree costing $28, and the taste and flavor were subpar. I’ve had Shrimp and Grits at several other local restaurants that were 10x better including Vola’s Dockside Grill in Old Town Alexandria, or even Matchbox at Pentagon City.
I’ve been to Georgia Brown’s before in years past when the food was stellar. I highly recommend the Culinary Team get back to putting the love and magic back into the plate before they lose all of the following this renowned restaurant once had.
It was a Birthday celebration for a friend!
Whenever I'm in DC Georgia Brown's is a must! Delicious food every time.
Food & service was excellent!
Food was great and service was friendly and fast!
We celebrated Mom's 90th Birthday. The total experience was fabulous!!!!! We had great food and great experience. Our waitress, Tiffany was phenomenal.
Very nice place for lunch. Food portion was perfect and overall the meal was very good and the server was very pleasant.
Last minute meal downtown. Great experience! Food was delicious, but the service was superb. Couldn’t have asked for more.
It was ok. Being from the south, I was expecting better fried chicken and homestyle fare. It wasn’t bad, but I have definitely had better. Probably as good of Southern food as you’ll get in DC though.
Our waitress Tiffany was very attentive, polite
The food was delicious! I liked that some of the traditional southern cuisine was tweaked for a new taste. I'll definitely e returning.
My family and I came for my birthday. We enjoyed the delicious food, great atmosphere and great service from our waitress.
Site of our 1st date 18 years ago. I told this to Naijah and she ensured the evening would be as memorable as the first. Everything was fantastic! We love it and have already recommended to some friends who now have reservations. Thanks for everything.
Great Birthday dinner with friends. Staff was very accommodating to our party. Most definitely recommend!
My wife and I recently went to Savannah, GA, and loved it. We loved it so much that I was excited to plan her birthday at Georgia Brown's. The food, service, and overall restaurant experience was great. We loved the fried green tomatoes, gumbo, and apple pie! Our server was great and, although we weren't there for live music, the music playing and the whole restaurant was perfect. I would suggest this place for any occasion. Thank you Georgia Brown's!
Great food and service, although we were in and out in 45 minutes. Would have liked more time to savour the food and relax over our last glass. Servings are very large, so take care not to over-order.
Delicious food !!!! Loved it !!!! Great service as well ! Worth the walk, Uber, when visiting D.C.
AWESOME PLACE with great food and service. Completely enjoyed!!!
The food was delicious, the drinks were on point and our server, Elsa was extraordinary.
