    Had the last meal before going home on a three week trip in the USA. The right way for ending a great vacation. I had the Lamb chop with green bears and mashed potatoes. Not to much. The Farmers bead can also be recommended. My daughter had the chicken it was also a great success

    Our waiter appeared stressed and distracted, the gratuity is entirely too high for subpar food and drink, I ordered a Jack Daniel and ginger ale, the waiter failed to tell me that they were out of ginger ale yet served the drink anyway, had to send it back, my daughter’s food came with scallops and she specifically advised not to put them on her plate, the desserts were deceiving, terrible banana pudding and pecan pie, they should both be removed from the menu, overall the prices are too high and the place is overrated, didn’t taste very soulful

    Absolutely one of, if not the best, Jazz Brunches I've ever experienced. Every course on the menu was superb. I highly recommend Georgia Brown's if you're ever on the D.C. area.

    Went for Sunday brunch and food is on point. Service was a little slow. our server was good but maybe she had a table too many. Waited a long time to get drinks, new forks between courses, fresh water, etc. Price point was a little higher than expected. I’d prefer one less course for $15 less.

    The music was fabulous, and the vibe was warm and welcoming. Great place to visit with close friends and family! Not our first visit there, and most definitely won't be our last - we look forward to next time!

    Our server was great and very personable! My favorites was the collard greens and cornbread with peach honey butter. My friend loved the pineapple sauce for the salmon dish! Everything was absolutely superb. - signed a Low-country Georgia Girl

    Way too hot in the restaurant. Our waiter said it was controlled “by the building owners”- never heard of a restaurant that pays its own utilities not being able to adjust the temperature. Numerous tables around us complained. That said, everything else was excellent.

    Great atmosphere for brunch. Service was a bit slow, had to wait 15 minutes for water but otherwise ok service. Sunday brunch was delicious.

    I went on a Sunday where when I arrive I was told their was no option for only appetizers and they only had the $65 brunch option. And the bottomless mimosa was not.included and was charged $30 for bottomless. And I was automatically charged a 20% gratuity. It was 92 degrees outside and it felt like 90 degrees inside. Our table was moved 2 times, because of the heat within the restaurant.. (And I noticed the staff was sweating as well) At the end of our meal, the waitress bought us a tray of desserts she said it was a shareable. Well whats happens if I'm by myself, do i get half of the shareabke dessert ? Ultimately if I'm going to pay $150 for a brunch at least allow me to be comfortable. Let's note the taste of the food was awesome .

    My wife and I visited this restaurant before the pandemic and it was great. We returned this past Saturday and not so great. I don’t think this restaurant can be considered a soul food restaurant when the food was missing flavor (seasoning). The mashed yams tasted as if they were from the can. Mac and cheese had no cheese or butter taste. I think the kitchen was missing SOUL (if you know what I mean).

    The restaurant is lovely! The pianist was excellent! The ambiance was wonderful, and the waitstaff was first rate! I and our guest ordered fried chicken. My husband had the red snapper. The fried chicken was large. Our guest found it a little dry on the edges. Mine was good. The collard greens were not chopped as well as I like, and I could find no trace of smoked turkey. Not even in flavor! My husband was very satisfied with his red snapper, head, eyes and all! I plan to go back and try something else. No collard greens, though!

    Our waiter was so helpful and friendly. He was very attentive and friendly. Our food was soooo good. I got the buttermilk fried chicken and almost decided against it because you can get chicken anywhere. It did not disappoint. Not only did it come out fast but also it was so juicy and flavorful. The fried green tomatoes and bacon jam was everything. I plan on going back.

    Great night of celebration with family. Live jazz band on Wednesday evenings. The food was great, the service was great and they were flexible with the dietary needs of some of us. Fried green tomatoes wonderful; sautéed spinach side was fresh and delicious (was expecting a fat-laden component to it). Would like to try brunch next.

    I could not hear my guests because the piano playing is way too loud. The restaurants acoustics are horrible and the ceiling is too low for such loudness and it makes for an u comfortable dinner when you can’t hear the person sitting across the table from you.

    I found the restaurant on google and decided to check it out. Best decision for our last night in DC. We were on vacation with kids, ages 9-16. Everyone loved the restaurant, our waiter Jonathan was very helpful and knowledgeable of the entire menu. His drink recommendation for the “Down Yonder” was a great choice. It is a must visit if you are a fan of southern cuisine. I’m from NC so it was right up our alley! We will definitely visit this establishment on our next visit to Washington DC.

    Went on Sunday for brunch with one of my friends. There was a live band and a line out the door. Definitely recommend reservations like we had. The music was great the ambiance was appropriate very nice upscale place. The brunch menu is pick 1 item for Six courses. Portions for the courses where pick and the made to order omelette station was super fresh. All in all definitely worth the $65 per plate for the 6 course honestly worth more. Only area of caution was some of the courses were not hot, like biscuits weren’t warmed neither was my French toast but everything was delicious and look forward to returning.
