We arrived later than our reservation, BUT the restaurant was more than accommodating us and sitting us immediately. Our server was Bob. Bob is great when he is on point, like he was NYE 2016, but not so good this time around. He was not as expressive and was very slow in comparison to our other experience which was a very active/busy night. Ultimately his inability to be timely with my drink order is the reason for the 3 star for service. Couple that with an over cooked steak for my wife who ultimately didn't finish her aniversary meal as a result, and this was a less than par experience from an exceptional establishment.

Food was wonderful and service was excellent. I sat in the bar and enjoyed their happy hour specials before my dinner reservation. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Georgia Brown's was a great find for dinner while in D.C. on a long weekend vacation. The food was authentic southern and simply delicious. It was unpretentious and done to perfection. The crab stuffed "devil shrimp" were amazing, and the mac and cheese and spinach that come with it couldn't be better. I'd highly recommend to anyone and would absolutely go back.

This is by far one of the best DC brunches for your money. There is a mixed variety of food on the buffet to include baked salmon and spice peel and eat shrimp. My absolute favorites were the waffles w/pecan syrup, mini pecan pies and the sweet peach tea (you can actually taste the tea.) The atmosphere was very inviting with sounds from a live Jazz band. Our server, the omelette and craving station chefs were fantastic. I would highly recommend Georgia Brown's again.

It was one of my worse experience since a long time ago. Food is not good, the service is bad and the price so expensive! I don't understand why this restaurant is still in the guides.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, the highest level of hospitality was set and maintained throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious. You can’t come to DC and miss out on this dining experience.

Georgia Brown's once was a good place to go when you needed a hit of Southern food. Unfortunately, it is well past its prime. Not only is the facility tired and worn, but worse, the quality of food and service has really gone down. I had a standard meal of fried green tomatoes (they used to be great, this time I could hardly eat them), fried chicken (it was dry inside and the crust tasted bad), greens (way too salty), and green beans (they just weren't good...how can you mess up Southern-style green beans?). My glass of wine (ordered right up front) wasn't served until the appetizers were complete. Really the only thing I enjoyed was the bread...it was still good.

This place is amazing! Being new to the DMV I was pretty excited about all the options for dining however, I cannot seem to go anywhere but here! Especially on Sundays for brunch and live jazz music. Here’s the breakdown:
1. The food is amazing and well portioned. My favorite is Sunday brunch and jazz! You get a variety of options and there is an omelet station.
2. The ambience is great as well. Very diverse crowd, music is great and a very lively atmosphere.
3. The pricing isn’t the cheapest however, I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. On Sundays for brunch they have bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys for $25.00. And trust me...they keep them coming!
4. Abdula is amazing!!!! Ask for him if you decide to stop in! If you are visiting...he is the best at welcoming you to the area. If you are a repeat he remembers you by name!

This was my first visit to Georgia Brown's. I was very pleased. I had a reservation, so I was seated immediately. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. I went on a Sunday for the brunch. There was an excellent selection of food items, and everything I ate was delicious. Included with the Sunday brunch is a jazz band, which was also excellent! Looking forward to my next visit.

I was excited to try Georgia Brown’s as I’ve heard great things. I was a bit disappointed that the corn bread and biscuits weren’t warm. My shrimp and grits were just okay. I think the broth should have been a little thicker. Overall it was a nice experience but I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

Georgia Brown’s came highly recommended by a friend. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent. I was beyond excited to get friend green tomatoes on the coldest weekend DC had seen in ages. My daughters loved the food & have asked to return the ne time we are in town.

Great service! great food! My wife and I were in town for a romantic weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We were running late for a show and when we told our server, she was very accommodating. She also knowledgeable of the menu and told us about the Sunday brunch.

the food was pretty good however some items on buffet were luke warm (salmon). i was disappointed withthe table we had. (see pic on how close we were) i had reservations weeks before and we were seated at a table which was 2 ft from buffet and so many people were bumping up against our table. also there was a big column next to our table which was obstruction for conversation. table seemed to be an add on—- recommend they get rid of it!!! and if someone has reservations weeks in advance dont seat them in the crappiest spot! one positive note: the server was excellent and kept mimosas full.

The blueberry mojito tasted like cough syrup. The devil shrimp had a chipotle drizzle that ruined the dish. The sea bass with mushrooms was very good, though.

I believe the restaurant is a bit overrated. I was expecting a bigger portion of food than what was provided. I had the devil shrimp and the filling was full of breading and the shrimp were over cooked. In addition, it was extremely cold on New Years Eve and it felt on the inside of the establishment!

The location was cute. Great ambiance and overall decorum. I was seated along the outer edge of restaurant near windows. Kept my coat over my shoulders whole time. Food was good. I ordered the crab-stuffed shrimp with mac/cheese and spinach. You get 3 shrimp (not big ones). Mac/cheese was a good combo with spinach. My fiance had the salmon with mac/cheese and mashed potatoes. He's stated his food was OK. I give overall a 6/10.
