Food was good, very enjoyable atmosphere. Unlimited mimosa a bit pricey, the price is in ADDITION to the meal. Most brunches include it, but a real plus is at the end of the brunch, they bring you a menu so that you may order a "to go" meal!!!! That price is included, who does that? Great feature, food was tasty. Would definitely visit again.
Excellent choice for a Sunday Brunch. The food, the ambiance, and the live music were amazing! And you get a nice little to-go box to take with you for lunch the next day :) You can't beat that! This is one of the best restaurants I've visited in the DC area. Would definitely go again!
Attended for Sunday Jazz Brunch and had a blast! The Chef's Omelette and Belgian waffles were amazing! and the buffet and dessert table were great! Drinks were delicious and to top it all off, an entree to take home. The live Jazz band was also a great addition.
Absolutely fantastic!! We thoroughly enjoyed dining there!! Service, food, atmosphere - everything was electric and FIRST CLASS!! I’ve recommended Georgia Browns to some very good friends. WE ARE COMING BACK SOON!! FIVE STARS! A++++++. BRAVO ZULU!!
All was good, but it took more than 40 minutes to get our "takeout" meal and leave. Our waiter just seem to keep forgetting about us.
Not a bad experience. This place was recommended by my Event Planner friend. The service was good. We didn't have to wait more than 3 minutes to be seated with out reservation so that was GREAT! The waitress came right over. She was really good. My ONLY "gripe" would be the price. My fiance' ordered an appetizer that was $45 dollars and it was literally just tomatoes and catfish nuggets and Cole slaw. He loved it tho and stuck with that as his entree. I choose the buttermilk fried chicken, it was ok. The sides were hotter than the chicken but again, it was ok. Would've been better if it was hot.
Overall though, NOT a bad experience. The ambiance and the server made the experience better which is why I didn't give it 1-2 stars. I'd give it another try, Maybe for the Sunday brunch and live jazz band.
After going to Georgia’s for 15 years, it is still an incredible experience!!! An all time favorite!!!
Everything about this place was awesome! My group ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried Chicken, it was all delicious! Great place and the prices were reasonable for DC. I would definitely come back.
Met up with friends from the past and we lingered over delicious food for three hours; never felt rushed by the waitstaff (there was no one waiting to be seated, it was Saturday lunch). Just a great time.
Was excited to try out the restaurant for a friend’s birthday celebration. We were seated under very bright lights which caused us to be hot. We asked for the lights to be turned down but were told it would change the lighting of other areas (which weren’t as bright). House lighting should turn down at dinner service. They never changed and it felt like a spotlight the entire time.
We were told the fried chicken and deviled shrimp were the most popular so that’s what we ordered. I was underwhelmed by the chicken. It was crispy outside but dry inside and not very well flavored. The greens were great though (made with turkey for the win). The birthday girl had the stuffed shrimp which she liked and was good.
Overall, it was ok. Not what was expected but we can say we’ve been. It was on my DC list.
This was our second visit to Georgia Brown's DC. We've decided that GB's will be on our itinerary whenever we're in the DC area. Love the food, the atmosphere, and the people. Thank you for an excellent dining experience.
Food was delicious, restaurant was tired, dirty and old looking. Although we enjoyed our food we likely will not be going back unless the interior is updated.
Awesome meal. Waitress was nice. Quick seating. Will go back again
Came to Georgia Brown‘s for lunch. The service was excellent and the food met our expectations. It was a bit more pricey for lunch than what we were looking for, but we found good salad and appetizer options that fit the lighter lunch we were targeting. The food was very good and we enjoyed the generous biscuits and corn bread brought to our table with honey butter while awaiting our order.
Went to lunch. Fried green tomatoes nice and thick so less fried tasting which I like. Let me add salmon in the side which was moist and flavorful. Brown lager was great. Bartender was attentive but not too attentive which was great for a biz lunch.
I had no idea the ambiance would be so invigoration. The food was amazing. I am from Louisiana and to say this was great food, means a lot.
We were greeted so warmly by the ladies at the front. The server was very professional and attentive. The pork chop, sweet potatoes and greens srlection were delicious. The music trio was good. I'd recommend Georgia Brown to anyone. A little noisy but not over bearing.
Came here with some family that was in town. Our waiter was great! He was super sweet and willing to take pictures for us. The Cowboy Steak was amazing. The oven roasted chicken was a little dry but the gravy they served with it was very good. If you want good chicken, stick with the fried chicken.
Overall a good experience. I would definitely go back to explore the menu more.
Great as usual, service and food are A1
Excellent Service, food was delicious.
Phenomenal service and excellent food
Georgia Brown's was amazing. The service (from the moment I arrived and a waiter opened the door for me since it was raining) to the host and server was amazing. Our server was engaged with providing me and my guest a great experience. It was clear she understood how to treat her tables! She helped us choose dishes that she loved. She didn't judge me when I asked for honey for my coffee. And she didn't judge me when I asked to take the left-over honey home! I hate to waste food!!
I'm leaving DC and I had wanted to go to this restaurant and the experience did not disappoint!!!
Food was decent. Service was inconsistent.....some of the staff were very personable and attentive. Others, not so much. Not sure the brunch was worth $50. I had expectations of a restaurant in New Orleans but this fell short.
I enjoyed everything about it! I would definitely recommend to a friend.
Great brunch! Bottomless mimosas or bloody marys, omelet to order, waffles to order, turkey, to name a few items! Awesome live jazz band even sang happy birthday to our 21 year old birthday girl!--Thanks Brian! We had the best waiter on his last day--great service! This is the 2nd time we've been there and will go again for sure!
Went for brunch. Price was a little high. Service was very good.
Delicious meal; I especially liked the Heirloom Tomato Stack. The noise level at out Saturday night visit was unacceptably high.
Service was not good - Waited 30 minutes after reservation time to be seated. After seated, waited another 20 - 30 minutes to order. First round of drinks came after appetizers were delivered.
I really enjoyed my experience. Unique for Washington DC
We had an absolutely delightful meal and evening.
The help was wonderful, the food good, the drinks outstanding.
The food and service was great, however I noted that it was an anniversary dinner on the reservation and we were sat at an awkward table against a wall in the center. I chose this over the iron gate, but I will not make that mistake again for a special occasion.
Outstanding food, service & atmosphere! Quite possibly the best fried chicken ever!
In town for a week of celebration for my 75th birthday and this dinner was a highlight of our week so far. What a very special restaurant you have here.
Great mix of ambiance, food, music, and great service. Great product mix. The music sets GB apart from other great restaurants in the DMV. The Roots; Brad, Ben and Mark are great. Just right. Not to loud, fun and entertaining. Almost forget the great hosts, cooks, bartenders, entire service staff, parking arrangements, they are all great too. Keep up great work! I normally come on Wednesday evening to get me through the week.
Sadly the service was lousy. The majority of the food was excellent, although I go the pork chop and it was over cooked and too dry.
Loved it! The food was great. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. Will definitely be back for more!!
Far exceeded by expectations. Very nice restaurant. Excellent service .
Dinner was absolutely amazing. I will definitely come back to this place when I’m in DC again.
I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens. Luckily, I had enough room left over for chocolate pecan pie with ice cream for dessert. I left really full, happy, and satisfied.
High-fives to the kitchen and the service staff. I was very well taken care of.
Found this restaurant through Open Table and do not regret the recommendations.
Had an issue with seating - we were told we couldn’t move our table because the other tables were reserved. Spring me with manager and he accommodated is right away! Our server was excellent and the rest of the family birthday celebration was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend.
